Bob is a liar and a cheat. Doesn't do what is paid to do, didn't replace parts he was paid to, never finished any of the work he was paid for. A simple AD verification is now costing me an overhaul because we cannot trust anything he did. Highly regret bringing my engine here. 2 months after I dropped off my engine he had his A&P license pulled by the FAA, the FAA inspector informed me of 5 crashes attributed due to his poor workmanship. He claimed to have overhauled our Lycoming 0320 but we soon had issues and when the engine was opened up and examined we found we had been cheated. Many internal parts that the FAA require to be replaced were reused. We had 2 thin wall and 2 thick wall wrist pins. That is never allowed. He drilled holes in the case for NEY nozzles but never bothered to get the STC so the case was essentially destroyed. Not only is his work sub standard it's criminal. But if you call today he will still take your engine even though his FAA ticket has been pulled. He should be in Jail. read more

He had his A&P license revoked in August of 2025 by the FAA. I had the engine at his place for over a year. He barely did any work. I had to take it and all the parts from him. Lost $12,000. I paid up front. Stay away. He lies without remorse. read more

No quality No Service No value. They have had my engines for a year and a half. I'm now finding other owners that have had their engines with Robert Vandesaar at A&E Engines for almost a year. You will NEVER get a straight answer from this guy. I think he just cannot help himself but to have every sentence that comes out of his mouth to be a lie. read more
