I don't use the vibram soles but these other brighter red soles they have at the store that offer traction, protection, and look really nice! It costs $40 and takes a week, but is worth the wait! Then SNOWMAGEDON happened! Mind you... I took my repair to this particular shop from a personal friends' review.... So today ( Feb 2,2026) I drove down to pick up my shoes..... The owner looked at me with confusion as I handed him my repair ticket. I described my shoes to a T...5 inch stilettos with a wide crisscross strap. Still confused face. I literally watched this man walk over to a pile of shoes and rummage through pairs and pairs of shoes to eventually find mine on the bottom of the pile.... Dusty and half stripped . So I knew work had started on them bc I did not drop them off in the condition I took them back in. I inquired as to why they were not finished and he said " it's been busy, then snow". I also asked why he did not tell me he had not finished them when I called ( and I gave him the tix number on the 10th of January). He shrugged his shoulders. At this point.... ZERO APOLOGY! ZERO offer to complete the repair at a 25% discount.... I did not ask him for one. He said... and I quote..." you said take your time".... In my mind and most other customers minds.... Take your time means in a reasonable time..... HE gave me the date of completion for Dec 27.... Again.... Shoulder shrugs! How does someone run a business like this? Lack of respect for my shoes ( found on the floor) lack of honoring the delivery date with ZERO APOLOGIES. Then have the audacity to place blame on THE CUSTOMER for not having the repair FINISHED because I stated take your time! SOMEONE MAKE THIS MAKE SENSE TO ME!!!! I called my friend who highly recommended MASTER REPAIR SHOP in Rockville Maryland to me and let him know how my repair project was treated. He was beyond shocked. Many apologies from my friend but not ONE from the OWNER! Please avoid this shit hole ( physically a nasty mess... where my shoes were found on the floor) AT ALL COSTS!!! The owner is CLUELESS on how to provide great customer service. It was HEINOUS AND DEPLORABLE AT BEST! With the damage done to my shoes ( because he started my project) the price to fix them at another shop up the road was 50 dollars MORE... at $150.00! That's double the cost of the shoes when I bought them. When the owner said he would fix them in the next MONTH ( I have a late Winter wedding to attend and wanted to wear the shoes in question) I nearly lost my mind! I stared at him with such disappointment .... He then said... and I quote..." You didn't pay YET, so here" and held out my shoes to take. I took them and as I left I told him what I thought of his shitty customer service in Italian, Spanish and English! I'm sure he understood ONE of the three languages I speak! Master Repair Shop in Rockville, Md is a horrible place to have your shoes repaired. The customer service is beyond repair itself and I will NEVER EVER allow this shop to work on any of my shoes if I'm in need of repairs. This time I promised myself that I would do it ahead of my vacation, but again I procrastinated until the last minute. I found this repair shop and decided to call on Friday and see if my shoes were repairable in the time I needed. I'm assuming I spoke to Nick, and he said he can have the shoes to me by the following Friday (a week later) I needed them before Thursday as my trip was then. He said he can get them to me anytime after 2pm on Tuesday. I rushed over on Friday to drop my shoes off. Something to note, you have to pay before the repair which quite frankly I wasn't a fan of but I had no other option. I headed over on Wednesday and my shoes looked brand new! These shoes are so comfy and I would quite frankly cry if I had to toss them. The heel got stuck in the road on my trip and I was able to yank the heel out without ruining the job Nick had done! Overall great experience that I even considered bringing my other shoes to his shop as well!

My most recent trip was for a leather pair of Madewell booties that were falling apart, literally. The heel was uneven and scuffed. The gluing was coming apart - they were basically talking to me! And the insoles were coming off. It was a bit on the pricey side to take care of everything but they turned out great and I can't wait to wear them. The turn around time was 3 days and it took longer for me to pick them up!! Some tips: Be prepared to pay when you leave the the shoes for repair. If you park in the covered garage area and enter the mall where Lucky Strike is, the location is right there on your right beside a nail salon - quick in and out of the mall. :)

Over the…read morelast four months I have had three separate leather items repaired, cleaned and re-stiched/seamed. I had a leather jacket and two purses repaired. Bar none, the repairs were the best I have ever had done anywhere! The quality was outstanding! Their attention to detail is not something I see anymore. On all three repairs they found extra items that needed TLC and did them without extra charges. The staff is always friendly too. I would rate them 4 & 1/2 stars on their workmanship if I could. I would give Casmera 5 stars if they were not so in demand and took longer than expected for all the jobs. That is a great problem to have. Also, striving toward better communication with their customers about the repairs would definitely give them five stars. Don't go anywhere else. Go to Casmera. They were out of the way for me, but so worth it!
