Upon his "very thorough" investigation and after cleaning he reported that the furnace was unable to be fixed and needed to be replaced. Claims the burners would not work correctly whatever that means. Offered up a replacement furnace for $5K. Dad needs heat because after all he is 90. I set up an additional service provider as anyone would to get a competitive price and additional opinion. After their review they concluded that Polar's tech did a very poor job of cleaning and even worse job diagnosing the issue. It needed a thermostat...a G D thermostat and not a new furnace. Well the new company replaced the thermostat and all is well. Except for the epic miss for a seasoned veteran HVAC tech from Polar....one that should not occur. Makes me wonder if he was trying to take advantage of my 90 year old veteran father. That could never happen could it??? Seems odd though. This just reinforces my belief that there are very few service providers that can be trusted. Beware and stay clear of this hot mess of a company.

(Note: unless they're licensed, your warranty will be void. We didn't know better). The unit was just over 5 yrs old ... yikes. Fast forward to us scrambling to find a responsive plumbing service/contractor because the leak was constantly flowing. After several dead ends over a span of a few days, I found All About Plumbing. Ray and his team were very easy to work with. Responsive. Very reasonably priced. Ray recommended a great replacement and was able to come out on short notice (less than 24hrs). The only downside is that this business doesn't accept Credit Cards (they only accept check/cash/zelle) but I can't completely fault them for that. They're just a little more old fashioned with their operations. All in all, very happy with the service. I'd definitely reach out for any future needs.

The company then quoted me $2200 as the cost to replace it and reiterated that this did not include the $99 that they already charged me. So yes, had I gone with that company, it would have cost me $2300. Armed with this information, I posted pictures and exactly what the "diagnosis" said and asked for emailed quotes...to be clear I said EMAIL only. I then got no less than 10 phone calls saying "please give us a call so we can talk about your situation. Some called more than once. Lakeland Heating and Cooling (Jason) was nothing like that... $1270 flat rate to replace the water heater. Yes, thats how he replied in his email.. as I requested.
