Top tier service and actual integrity. I didn't know businesses like this were still around. My grandson broke a derailer on a wal-mart bike. I didn't think they would even touch it. They found a modestly priced derailer and installed it within a half hour. The derailer works better than when the bike was new. They didn't even try to sell me a new and more expensive bike . Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service, while the guys up front are nice there is no communication between them and service !! No one talks to anyone!! My boyfriend called and asked if they could have some bikes done on a certain day they said no problem!! So I drive 45 minutes to take our 2 bikes to them to build. Which I was treated very poorly by the guys in service and told it would be $80 for them to open the box and not guarantee they will even build them for "warranty purposes," but I still agreed as we are going on vacation and need these. We call and they tell us they weren't told about a specific date. Then Shawn in service says I was told they couldn't guarantee a day after I corrected him and said that wasn't discussed he said he had no idea about a specific date. I do not appreciate the unprofessionalism shown by the entire store and especially Shawn. I will tell everyone I know to avoid at all cost. You work with people being rude won't get you anywhere. They're lucky I don't call the BBB for this. Absolutely disgusted. read more

How many stars should you give a business when you cannot hardy get anyone to assist? Is two stars generous? Have they not heard of customer service? My wife and I were in the market for a couple of eBikes and prepared to spend "several" thousands. When we entered there was only one other person in the store who was being helped ( not sure if he was a customer). I could see no less than four others in their shop. We walked around the shop several times and waiting for help since we were new to these types of bikes. Finnaly I had to ask if anyone could help. That is when one man asked another and heard him say "see if you can help them". Not even acknowledging us. The employee (?) came over and asked what are we needing. I did not feel that this gentelman had the knowledge to assist us in a decision as he did seems to have specific knowledge and was trying to fill a role he was not suit for. . We are of the older generation and did not expect this poor level of customer care especially where there was a potential for a very large sale. Does customer service depend on an amount. We walked out and went to another and bought two eBikes. Guess who we will not recommend. read more

Riding the Adventure Cycling TransAm Trail and took a day off in Springfield and brought my bike into A&B. Scott, the shop manager, and the entire staff were the best. Scott took the time to completely adjust and fine tune my bike and showed me some things I needed to know about on-the-road maintenance. I went into the shop on 24 April 2016 very late on a Sunday afternoon looking to get a new saddle for another bike which they did not have what I needed no problem. But I had brought in my bike that I bought from another LBS. I was going to drop it off there and come back and get it later in the week. But I took my bike in and the mechanic looked at my issue I had described to him and troubleshot my cassette and chain and showed me the problem. He said it needed to be replaced. He had an hour and a half before COB and replaced it for me. I live in Waynesville about an hour and half away from Springfield. I just wanted the owner of this shop to know that he has a great crew there. I want to give a special thanks to Ryan for taking the time to help me out and get me on the road again. I wish all my experiences with a bike shop was like this. I told Ryan that you guys have earned my business. These guys are knowledgeable and very helpful and have always been great to work with. My wife and I wanted to spend more time outdoors so we started with simple mountain bikes. We quickly realized that mountain biking would be our new favorite hobby. We bought two Trek Stache's after that, and then wanted something in addition to those, where we could cover more ground without having to work as hard, so we got Power Fly's and absolutely love them (you can use the settings to help determine if you still want to get a workout, or you can keep it in Turbo and go straight up trails with little work - we took them to Busiek and they did great on that crazy steep trails and rocky terrain). I now ride my Power Fly to work (takes exactly half the time it takes to ride my Stache). Dalton and Bryant especially helped us make the best decisions and get exactly what we needed, as well as any accessories (highly recommend Proline Bontrager pedals, and those biker pants really will save your ass). Those service guys are really great and super nice (they don't cut corners, either, and really seem to care about your bike as much as you do). We will certainly be back and highly recommend A&B Cycles. read more

Nice store, thats about it though. Ive met one nice guy that worked there, dont remember his name. He was on the older side. Anyways, the employees are way too cocky, sometimes rude, but always dressed to the tee in pearl izumi gear. I wish i liked going in there more, because the store is so nice, but Ill ride the extra miles to sunshine. read more
