I had a very nice young lady helping me, but it went wrong when I went to try on some leggings. Another associate took it upon herself to take over. She told me how brave I was for coming into the store. She shared her experience of losing a lot of weight and showed me her belly, basically trying to make me feel comfortable about my imperfections. A comment or two I could have brushed off, but I felt that the conversation about body size just continued. I had walked in just looking for a good pair of leggings not at all feeling out of place. Just because a woman wears a Large and may not fit the fitness industry's standards of an ideal body does not mean that I am not healthy or active. The associate thought she was being helpful but made it very awkward. Please just stick to answering the questions of your patrons.

The employee near by said that she could offer me the bat at a discount since there were no others available in the store. She asked her manager. This manager, Brandon, had zero customer service skills. He never said hello to me, didn't make eye contact. He said, "nope you can't buy that because it's probably available online" If this is Dick's policy, okay. It's a stupid one. I may have said, barely above a whisper, "that's bulls**t and you know it." Then he stepped up to my face and began berating me about my parenting skills. What?!? We then went to a nearby dick's and they at least 20 of that bat. (Would have been nice to be told this by instead of "it's probably online") ive worked retail - when you are out of inventory, you can buy the floor model. Further, they had at least 50 youth bats n the cage (all with prices, barcodes, etc) and, get this, 4 youth bats in stock. The policy aside, the rudeness was completely unacceptable. I go there because I don't make screen prints, so I expect my idea to be taken by them and then we tweak it. No tweaking happened. My self esteem was shot by the time I left the store and sincerely apologized for being in the store. I felt as if she thought I was crazy wanting hot pressed letters on a shirt.
