We decided to sign-up for the Home Shield program which makes sense since fighting pests is a year-round thing (that I learned the hard way)! Not just mice but other critters too with bait stations & bug traps that they regularly check & refill. We've been using them for almost 2 years now, and customer service is great, courteous & responsive and willing to work with my schedule for visits. They are committed to be problem solving and stopping by between regular visits to check traps if I hear a suspicious sound. I'll admit sometimes, I've had some false alarms but Avery has always been a good sport about it. No one wants this problem with their home, but I feel like we finally got it managed thanks to Cloverleaf.

Robert was friendly and said they could send someone for an inspection to be sure. I asked if there was a cost and he said NO. The next day he called to say he could come out later that afternoon. He NEVER mentioned a cost. When he arrived he NEVER mentioned a cost. He walked around our roof and said he did not need to go and look inside. He saw signs of guano under an eve of a dormer on the third floor. He did not want to go inside to look. If he would have, he would have seen that closed foam insulation covers the inside roof and all wood surrounding the dormer. He said he would send a REPORT. He did not say he was sending an invoice. Imagine our shock when he sent a 'report' with an invoice for $200 for the inspection. I specifically asked at our first meeting if there was a cost. He said NO. I have been getting emails and text messages saying our payment was delinquent. I have relied back each time explaining I was not told about or agreed to a charge.

In our experience the customer service folks and technicians have been courteous and professional. The first couple of applications seemed to go well. They said that the inside of the garage would be treated but they never did. I even asked for them to make sure they treated it on future visits but to no avail. After four treatments they still have yet to set foot in my garage. Most of the bugs seemed to be taken care of by the treatments however not the spiders. In fact, our home now seems to be a beacon for spiders. We get new cobwebs and spider activity even shortly after treatments. Our house looks like it is ready for Halloween with the amount of spiderwebs on the exterior of the house. None of our neighbors homes, and we are in a tight subdivision, have any spiderwebs at all. We had a new, strange but start to show up inside the house. I called for them to come and re-treat for it. They did so, and in a timely manner. That being said, the service technician placed small glue traps about the house. The kind you use for mice. Why they did this for bugs I am not clear on. Recently we have had vegetation around our house dying after the most recent treatment. Not sure if it is related but odd coincidence. The customer service person said that is the first they have heard of something like that happening. I called to cancel our contract and did not have any issues. Again the customer service person on the phone was professional, polite and did ask why we were cancelling. Our first service appointment was today and we found out that we were lied to about our service. We requested rodent control only, and they came and sprayed our house for insects. We never asked for this and we don't want this. My partner called to complain and they apologized and offered credit to our account because they "performed services we didn't ask for." When I called about it, they told me they don't offer rodent control without insect control. So basically the salesperson lied to us and then they made it seem to my partner like they would not spray or charge us for spraying again, when really they don't have a service without it. I canceled via email, which they don't list anywhere on your Aptive profile, and they informed me they would be charging me a cancelation fee of $199. I called them and told them that was unacceptable since they lied to us about services and their contract states that they would charge $199 or the difference between the price of your initial treatment and the discount. Whatever. I'm done with them and with their deceptive selling practices I wouldn't be surprised if they would be the next company to get sued in Minnesota.
