Shortly after moving into our new place, we noticed an area of water damage in the wall and flooring from a leaking drain pipe, which the previous owners had covered with furniture during our inspection. We had the leak itself fixed by Tonka Plumbing, and requested an estimate from Loyear for the remediation work. When Gary showed up, he had a mask, booties, everything you'd expect in 2020. He listened to what our issues were, inspected the damage, pulled out his cool infrared gadget, and gave us his estimate. The surprise came when he then told us that - as much as no business likes to turn down business - our issue was one we could probably handle ourselves. Instead of simply taking our money, he suggested that we give it a go, and call him back if the issue turned out to be larger than we were comfortable handling on our own. So there you have it. 5-star review for a company I never actually hired -specifically because of an estimator's honesty and frankness. Will 100% call them in the future for any water damage/remediation work I need.

Our experience with this service has been extremely disappointing. Our dryer vent wasn't cleaned…read moreproperly and I needed them to come back 3 times to attempt to fix the issue. After contacting them today to inform them that our dryer vent is STILL blocked, I was told they couldn't come back until August 20th. Our first appt with them was in May, and our dryer hasn't worked since. I even had a repair service come out to look and see if it was an issue with the dryer itself. He was able to verify that the dryer worked properly, and that the vent was still plugged. I am now having to pay a second company to come out to fix what should have been done correctly the first time. Pictures below of what was left in our vent. I asked to be refunded a portion of our payment and have gotten no response.

At the end they put down new pad and relayed the carpet. The laminate flooring had to be completely removed. I had my local company install the new. They did want a $1000 down payment which I thought was interesting. The communication with my insurance company seemed to go OK. They did arrive at an adjusted charge. I did have fairly good communication with them. The minor problem I had was understanding some of the verbiage in their bill which caused me some frustration. All in all I was satisfied with their work.
