We are now going into our third year at K2 Studios, and my only regret is not coming sooner. My…read moredaughter started dancing at two, but we didn't really get into competitive dance until she was about six or seven. Our second year competing was with K2, and the growth we've seen since then has been phenomenal. I have two girls who both compete and train here, and the training they receive is truly exceptional. The studio has clear rules that create a safe, structured environment, and as a parent, I appreciate the direction and consistency. They also re-evaluate and assess students regularly to ensure they're placed in the right classes, which shows how much they care about proper development. The technique taught at K2 is simply outstanding--far beyond what I've seen elsewhere. On top of that, they offer a wide variety of classes and training options, which is a huge bonus. Overall, I cannot say enough about the quality of instruction, the supportive environment, and the incredible growth my daughters have experienced here.

I am not a mind reader and you're a big LIAR DONNA you were paid! CHECK OUT THE SCREEN SHOTS! Now what excuse can you come up with now?? So pathetic! Like my "complaint" said! It's funny i received the fastest reply from this company when it's a review posted! Good night no accountability DONNA! Talk about the poor customer service & communication. You skipped over that part. Donna save it, I scrolled down and seen some other people complaining about how poor the customer service is. You rambling on about everything but the POOR customer service. And you right I have lots of other bad reviews I leave because you and other companies suck at running a business! And you're so stuck on who gave a refund! The point that's going over your head is that I had to even get one! Rather the school gave it or you! The point is I wanted a refund behind poor customer service and poor communication! So save your public service announcement on how many bad reviews I gave and worry about running good business and not losing potential money. So goofy! I SIGNED UP WITH ANOTHER COMPANY AND YOU KNOW WHAT they DID! Sent a email letting ppl know it was spring break!! And even email me to let me know they received my information and when they return they will call me! They communicated! Something you have no common sense to do! So again! GOOD NIGHT DONNA!

Ms Cody is so wonderful, her patience is unbelievable! My wife and I keep saying how blessed we are to have her teach our daughter so much. We take an afternoon class as our princess is not a morning person. On the first day we really didn't think our daughter was going to be ok.. by the end of the class she wanted more. Our daughter all week talks about her class and friends. Beside my daughter being born this maybe my favorite thing ever for my daughter. Thanks Everyone for being so amazing!

Unfortunately, after multiple attempts to follow up, I never received the communication I was promised or deserved, and our last interaction left me very unsettled. I enrolled my 5yr son in the Monday hip-hop class. From the beginning, we were informed that students would participate in a dance recital. This was my son's first recital, and although I initially had concerns, he was excited to participate, so we agreed. I communicated my concerns with the director and asked questions (see email) because I wanted to ensure he would be appropriately supervised. After the recital, my son told me he played a game called "spin the bottle." He also said older children were sitting with the group. This was extremely concerning because my son is only 5. My understanding was that the children would be supervised and groups separated by age. I emailed the studio for clarification and to explain my concerns. I received an initial response and replied with additional questions, but never received another response. I later called the studio because my son would miss a class and followed up about my unanswered email. Jessica said she would be out for a competition that weekend but would try to get further details about what happened at the recital. She also said she was not comfortable contacting other parents to ask whether their children had experienced anything related to this situation. I explained that I was uncomfortable with what my 5yr old had experienced and felt my concerns were valid and deserved to be addressed. She agreed and said she would follow up when she returned. I never received a follow-up. When I later called to unenroll my son, I again told the receptionist I was still waiting for the director to contact me and asked her to pass along the message. Again, I received no response. There was also a separate issue involving the recital photographs. At this point, 2 months had passed, and we had never received the photos my son took for the recital in June. On 9/9, I called the studio and spoke with Haley, the receptionist. I explained that we never received the photos. She provided an email and suggested checking my inbox/spam folder because I should have received a notification from the studio. I checked and found nothing. I asked if she could contact the studio for me. She said she could provide their contact information. I explained I was driving and it was difficult to take the information down at that moment, and she said that was no problem. She stated Jessica would reach out to the photography studio regarding the photos. I asked her to CC me so I could have their information since I was driving. I also asked her to have the director respond to my previous unanswered email regarding my recital concerns. She said she understood and would follow up. I called again on 9/10. The director answered. When I brought up my previous email, the conversation became defensive. I was told, "I don't know what you wanted me to respond to!" despite my email clearly asking for clarification regarding my concerns 2m ago. I was also told I was the only parent who had not followed directions regarding contacting the studio about the photographs and that I "refused" to take their information down. However, after reviewing the emails, I did not see anything advising parents who to contact regarding photos, updates/issues. Since I couldn't locate the photography studio, I thought it would be easier to contact the dance studio. The conversation became increasingly confrontational. I was also told, "I don't know if you know how things work around here, but we have over 300 kids here. We respond to things by urgency." I understand that a studio with 100s of students has to prioritize its workload, and I understand that photographs are not an urgent matter. However, that was not the only issue I was trying to address. My concern was that my 5yr old reported being introduced to "spin the bottle" at the recital, and I asked for clarification about what happened and how the children were supervised. To me, that warranted a response. What was most disappointing was the defensive response to a legitimate concern. I gave the studio multiple opportunities to address it and was promised a follow-up, but never received one. As a parent, I need to know my concerns will be taken seriously, my child will be properly supervised, and communication will be respectful. Unfortunately, I experienced the opposite.

Both girls have grown in maturity and grace under the direction of Ms. Sandra and Ms. Ariel, co-owners. Focus is placed on development of the whole person at PAE. Each one is treated with dignity and value not just in what the studio can gain from the dancer enrolled, but also in what the individual student can gain for his or herself. Dance technique is a major focus but so is working towards being a better person in lots of ways (ie. commitment, work ethic, and kindness). My girls are genuinely loved and this has benefited not only them, but our whole family. Many kinds of dance is offered here (call for specifics) from basic/beginner instruction to advanced. A recital is given in June to show off to family and friends each dancers hard work. They offer a Troupe that performs for community and charity events as well as a competition Company (by audition) for the more serious dancer. Emphasis is given to each Company member supporting and encouraging their fellow dancers while working towards and exhibiting each one's personal best. If you are looking for a family-friendly studio that has high standards, is modest as well as contemporary, Performing Arts Empire is worth investigating. We have been very blessed and it was a wonderful experience for our family.

There are plenty of parking in on the streets and also int he civic center. You can park there on weekends which is a plus. The cast is so talented and range from ages 8 to 18 all from local schools in the area. The set design was amazing and transported you to the slums of NY in 1899. Costumes and makeup were a hit, too. I thought that adults were also in the play but it was just make-up. The transformations of these kids was pretty cool to see. The singing and dancing was perfection too. You can tell these kids worked hard to put on a production like that. BRAVO! Inside the theater, they sell merchandise for each play and also snacks to enjoy during intermission. You can also buy grams to send to your favorite star in the show which I thought was pretty cool. NOTE: Make sure to bring a sweater even on a hot day. The theater gets really cold inside especially in the back corners.

I love taking group classes where I can learn new steps at my level or review steps and technique at previous levels, while getting to know new people and talk to friends. The private lessons are where I can learn new steps, work more on skills that I'm having difficulty with, work on improving my technique or work on a new routine for a show or competition. The parties are the fun social time where I can practice what I've learned with a variety of dancers of all levels. During the parties, when I'm not dancing, I like to watch the more advanced dancers and instructors dance. This gives me the opportunity to see what new things I can look forward to learning with the dances I currently working on or new dances that I might want to add to my program.
