Which is probably why the original owners attempted to convert it to gas. We wanted wood, not gas, and we wanted to get the 26% federal income tax credit. So we visited A Fireplace Store and More and spoke to the woman working there. She set up a date for Rony to come out and give us an estimate. Rony showed up on time and we settled on a modern high efficiency biomass fireplace insert that qualifies for the credit. Parts and labor was not cheap, but we wanted a quality appliance and this business has decades of experience, which we also wanted. We put down a deposit and set the installation day, which was today. Rony and his team showed up on time, worked quickly, did good quality work and cleaned up afterwards. Rony explained how to use the new fireplace and was all done in a matter of 3-4 hours. Very happy with our purchase and service and we can't wait until we can use it this winter.

She asked me what I had budgeted to install a fireplace and she truly did stay within my budget. She never tried to "up sell" and I felt no pressure from her or her husband Greg. Greg showed me the various stone options I could use (and there are many.) It could have been overwhelming but they helped me select the style of stone and then they ordered samples of the stone in 3 different colors of my choice. I was able to take the samples home and view them in my family room in both the light of day and at night. Leo, the installer, was professional and very skilled. Within 3 working days, he installed a spectacular corner fireplace with a hearth, mantle and stone all the way up to the 9 ft ceiling. The fire box has so many options. There is a backlight, a front and back burner, a fan and a thermostat, all of which I can control from the comfort of my sectional with a remote. I would definitely recommend A Cozy Fireplace. They kept to the schedule they had quoted to me. It took 10 days to get my stone samples and 3 - 4 weeks for my choice of stone to come in once I settled on my choice. They also were true to their quote. I put 1/3 down when I placed my order, 1/3 down when they started the project and I paid the final 1/3 at project completion.

Got our fireplace upgraded last November just in time for the holidays and we have had a winter and early spring filled with nice ambiance in our den. The whole installation process only took about 4 hours from installing the gas line, putting in the gas logs, sweeping our chimney and painting the interior box. They came out a few weeks later and got our nice new glass doors installed replacing our dated old 80s brass ones. So efficient and couldn't be more satisfied!
