The best part is I didn't have to be home while he was working so I didn't have to burn leave hours. I don't know how much roof repairs should generally cost, but I do know William charged me $30 less for a small repair than my neighbor's unlicensed "roofer friend" wanted to charge. Well, 5 years later and it's leaking again. Not only is it leaking again but the coating he used has since deteriorated. I've reached out to him MULTIPLE times via phone, text and email. He has NOT responded back! My most recent calls have gone directly to voicemail. Do NOT use this company's services AT ALL! He's a scammer and a crook! In fact, a number of the others came over and said, "Umm, no, we can't do this. Try Wagner." We worked with Sam Nicolette at the office, who couldn't have stayed more on top of our job and on communication (sometimes multiple times a day) with us. The house is 100 years old, with multiple skylights punched through the roof, and it shares a party wall (and roof) with our neighbor. Intricate scaffolding went up, the men worked incredibly hard and were careful of our yard. They carefully peeled off the degraded roof (and bazillion patches) and surveyed for damage/rot/termites to the wooden structure underneath (thankfully there was none) and then recreated the roof, taking special care around the various (4!) skylights. Sam and the foreman even handled the difficult challenges raised by having to do only "half" a roof, as the neighbor's house took up half the flat roof (and was a different surface). The copper flashing work was beautifully done. While the work wasn't cheap, the work was worth the cost. Give Sam a call. He and Wagner are great.

Jose came out to the house to inspect he skylight which included him getting up on a ladder to the second floor. After checking things out he provided me with an estimate for the repair. Fast foreword to the repair, the gentleman came (I cannot remember his name but he was nice and professional). He was able to complete the repairs in a few hours and thankfully the process was pretty straight foreword so it didn't require any extra materials. I was relieve to find a contractor that could work on the skylight and get that repaired since I wasn't expecting have to deal with that issue. I got special permission to telework so I could be here. Literally less than 1 hour before the appointment, I got a call from John asking if I can reschedule. I told him that I could not but I was not able to talk so I called him back about 30 minutes later. I made it clear that I was very unhappy about this because I had taken the day to have him come over. John said, "I'm not gonna make a bid deal about this. I'm telling you we're not coming today and do you want to reschedule?" I was very disappointed as his tone was clearly dismissive. There was no explanation as to why this happened or an attempt to be apologetic. If this is the kind of interaction I get when I'm trying to decide to hire you, what will it be like when I've already given you guys a deposit? It's too bad because the reason I reached out to them was because of friend of mine had a good experience with them. These guys ought to realize the importance of personal references. super impressed with maggio roofing. we needed to have our roof and gutters replaced, and solicited…read morea few quotes. maggio wasn't the cheapest option, but it was very reasonable and we chose them because of the customer service. our first interactions were with Brian, who is an extremely knowledgeable salesperson -- we loved how much he geeked out about roofs, and that we never felt upsold. the team did their work efficiently (our whole roof and gutter system were replaced within two days!), and professionally. our new roof and gutters look great. we have now scheduled our final walkthrough, and were impressed and happy to see the full 360 degrees of customer service. hopefully we won't need a new roof again anytime soon lol, but when we do, we'll definitely choose maggio again!

And after doing some searching, the Maggio team has now replaced my roof, balcony, and window awnings. Full disclosure, Maggio's proposal had the highest price tag of my search, but I feel that with that came along the best customer service I received during my search and also probably the best job during the actual work. Both teams that came out (roof and balcony/window were two separate jobs) were professional, diligent, thorough, and competent. The phrase "you get what you pay for" certainly applies and in this case I feel like I paid for piece of mind. And you can't really put a dollar amount on that. I HOPE to never have to work with Maggio again (since they hopefully fixed all my problems!!), but I'd be happy to recommend them to others.
