When he was working on one door I mentioned that in the future I had a fence job in the backyard. I showed it to him and he gave me a quote. I told him I would let him know. A couple months later he knocked on my door out of the blue. He had a sob story about his family and he said he needed to work bad. He lowered the quote for the fence from $800 to $550 including materials. Since the price was right, and he was desperate, and I had taken a liking to him, I decided to get the job done. Victor collected my money and I never saw him again. It pains me to write this and I have held off long enough to see that I will never see the money and the job is not getting done. Now he did do some work, he set some posts, and he painted a part of the fence. He came by and collected some more of the money, and said he would come back to finish the job. Then one day he called while parked in front of the house, (he didn't know I was home) and he hung up and drove off before I could pick up, and when I called him right back he didn't answer. When he did answer an hour later, I asked him "why didn't you pick up the phone when I called you back" he said "Oh I was already on the freeway." Wrong, it would have taken longer to get on the freeway. I never saw or heard from him again. The job is not complete and I didn't even ask for this. That was a snake move, and I feel obligated to let people know about him so this won't happen to you. Do not trust this guy, you've been warned.
