On July 22, 2015, my son had made an appointment with Ace Carpet Care to come out and clean the 2…read morebedroom apartment where he & another student stayed at while going to KU. Sorry to say there were stains on the carpet that were not cleaned when they moved in but the couch covered it up. There were pop spills & the carpet looked old. I must say if you have a carpet with issues such as major stains & you want & NEED results, this is the company to call & ask for. Also, ask for Jordon, this guy is good. He knows what he's doing & gets the job done right the first time. Jordon came in & sprayed some chemical over the whole carpet & then ran this big steamer over the whole carpet. He hit the corners, edges, & went over every spot on the carpet, including the closets. Wherever the stains were, he added extra steam & would go over it a couple extra times, slowly....& the stain was gone, including the heavy stains under the couch. EVERY STAIN was removed, what use to look dull, now looks nice. With Ace Carpet Care, their prices are very reasonable & when they say they will be there they are there. Jordon had just left one big job & came over to do the apartment. Now, anyone who takes this unit, won't have to worry about stains, because there is none.

Ace cleaned my air ducts in April. Ever since then, when the fan kicked on, I got a whiff of…read moresomething musty. I finally called my HVAC company, since I was worried that they might have clogged the drain, and found that Ace had punched a hole in the sheet metal to access the duct in the garage, and the plug that they put in the hole did not fit tightly. So every time my air-conditioner kicked on it was pulling in stale air from the garage. It cost me $90 for them to put a 6 inch strip of duct tape on. I'm not very happy about that. Also, when Ace came they did not tell me that it would take them four hours. I went outside in the yard since there was equipment everywhere and got a terrible sunburn. A warning about the length of time would have been nice. After they left, I found an 8-foot scratch in my hardwood floors where something had been dragged. These employees definitely were not gentle or considerate of my home environment. Basically, my ducts are clean so I'm giving them a two. The additional $90 to cover a hole And The to-be-determined cost of repairing the scratch certainly do not put Ace in the economical a reasonable price category.

The machines at the back use "Universal Laundry Symbols" instead of having instructions in English. This was confusing to me, but the wonderful staff person was eager to assist. The Ozone machines at the front will get even the dirtiest laundry clean. The TVs are loud, but the remote control is within reach and I carry earplugs anyway. The equipment is in good-enough repair. I don't see broken machines sitting there for weeks on end. The environment is kept clean. The restroom is spacious and it always has TP and paper towels. The change machines always work, or you can use a credit card. I think it's the best laundromat in Lawrence!

I recently visited this apartment complex after being on the waiting list for nearly six months,…read moreand the experience was extremely disappointing. The front desk manager was rude, cold, and standoffish from the moment we arrived. Instead of giving us a proper tour, she simply handed us the keys and told us to go view the unit ourselves, which felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. When we got to the model townhome, the condition was surprisingly poor. The carpet had visible stains, the furniture was chipped, and the staging looked unfinished--there were pillowcases on the bed but no actual pillows for instance. For a place meant to represent the property, it looked neglected and poorly maintained. What made the experience even more frustrating is that we were on the waiting list since last year, and they still couldn't offer us one of the most common townhome types. We were told that transfers take priority, which felt questionable and like an excuse rather than a real effort to accommodate prospective tenants. Overall, the lack of professionalism, poor condition of the model, and the long wait with no real progress made this a very disappointing experience.
