Had reached out to this business as well as three others for a bid on trimming several trees on our property. was disturbed by the lack of knowledge of the different tree types as well as the price drop offered during the bid process. A deal killer for me was the statement of also running an animal rescue business as a non-profit and the statement that "we really need the work" as well as that she would have to secure an insurance certificate for me prior to beginning work instead having one available at this time. After she left, I went and did additional research and only found about one review per year on several different sites as well as on BBB only having six in total, a small amount for 25 years I would think. And as for the animal rescue operation she claimed, a Facebook account with no post since 2023 (Triple Seven Rescue Ranch), no records of such an operation listed on the federal register or on the Texas Comptroller or Texas Secretary of State database. Can NOT recommend due to an obvious inability to present a truthful account of the business. read more

These people are amazing - there's just no other way to put it! A-1 was recommended to me by a couple of my neighbors via the neighborhood online site. A-1 was one of the three companies I requested to come out and bid on the removal of a very large (80-ish feet tall) cottonwood tree that needed to be taken out. I had my idea of what the cost would be and was very pleased when 2 of the 3 companies (including A-1) came in under what I thought the cost would be, including stump grinding and haul away. Chris, the owner, Steve, her Lead, and I had a long conversation about trees, and Chris's horse rescue ranch, and life in general - they are both down to earth and completely easy to talk with - they are happy to explain things to someone like me who doesn't know all of the ins-and-outs of tree care. So, needless to say, I decided to ask A-1 to take the tree down. The job was scheduled to take place in a couple of days and the crew arrived exactly on time and from the beginning it was clear that they knew what they were doing. The tree came down rather dramatically (to me) - if you've not watched this happen before, plan to spend time looking up, watching the process with your mouth open - the workers are a combination of daredevil and precise artisan. I have another cottonwood tree that is not in as bad shape as the one that had to come down, and it will also need to come down as soon as I can afford it. Chris has already quoted me on that and you can rest assured her crew will be taking that tree down. This high score represents professionalism, timeliness, detailed knowledge of the tasks to be accomplished and of course the fair prices for the overall jobs that were completed. Chris, the owner of the business provided a quote immediately upon our request and her team of non-stop professionals were on site to work exactly as scheduled. From large stump removals, to a 75 foot tree removal located between a fence and home with less than 10 feet clearance, this team of experts completed the project with safety, thoroughness, and with an attitude of pleasing us (the customer.) We called A-1 to have the front and side of the house trimmed and some brush and trees removed that had grown out of control and were threatening the foundation. We spoke with Chris and got a bid which was very reasonable and fair. They came out a couple of days later and did the job which was a fairly good sized job that took most of the day. Everything was done exactly as they said it would and the house now looks amazing. Everything was left clean and they hauled away or ground up all the debris. Great job we will definately use again and reccomend to others. read more

Ask to have any tree limbs cut back from my pool. Chris said they can cut it back so nothing would be over pool. Well they did not do it right the fist time. They kept on saying that it would kill the tree or that they can t reach that. She said she would send a climber back to cut some more limbs. It has been several weeks now and still no sign of them finishing the job. Will never use them again. Have posted notice on my community bulletin board so that no-one in the community(HOA) will use them. They could have had a yearly repeat customer had they done it right the first time. read more
