Within days of moving in on November 19th, our contractor found severe hidden issues: active roof leaks, soaked insulation, wood rot, mold in the walls and ceiling, and improperly installed metal roofing where sunlight was visible through gaps. Repairs cost $3,600. I first sent Jim photos and videos showing some of the discovered damage on November 21st and received no response. I then sent even more photos, as well as the contractor's report on Dec 22nd, 2025. For weeks he ignored my emails and texts, then repeatedly tried calling me to "talk on the phone" instead of addressing it in writing like I had requested numerous times. I gave him a written deadline to refund the inspection fee of $750 or I'd file a complaint with the Kentucky Board of Home Inspectors; he missed the deadline and still hasn't taken responsibility. The inspection report also omitted basics such as the HVAC system details, detailed roof description, main water shut-off, and electrical panel. Buyers beware! My experience shows why it's critical to hire an inspector who fully documents findings and stands behind their work.

They came out on July 6th, 2026 and put the system in. The first night I gave them a good review as they were here a long time and it was so hot. I have asked them to take this review down because they were anything but. They also used the review on the BBB without my permission. I called and spoke with Megan at their office and she stated that she would have to speak with Jay the office manager - who has never contacted me. Back to the install. We had problems the very FIRST night. The tech came out the next day and said they "forgot to tell " the other guy that they were low on refrigerant and LEFT us that way. We continued to have high humidity problems and they system never gets down to the temperature we want. Another tech came and said he fixed it and it "should get better" and it did not. Same problems. They sent back the owners son who said NO ONE sealed our duct work or returns so that was done. Same problem. Then they sent another tech who said our static air pressure was too high. SAME PROBLEM. Then I was told the owner Lucas Parker was the only one who could fix it and he was on vacation in CANADA and would be gone at least a week. The next week it was so hot in our house it was 82% humidity and I almost passed out. We went to Home Depot and bought a portable HVAC to be able to have some measure of comfort. The owner, who was aware we were having problems still waited several days after he got back to come over and look at it. He did give us a portable HVAC to use in our son's room as he could not even sleep in his room it was so hot. Lucas came over a few more times as NOTHING ever got better, and then started saying we already had a humidity problem. NO we did not. We had Elite Heating and Cooling for 12 years and NEVER had a single service call. The last time the owner was here was July 30th, and he change some settings on the thermostat and said he would ba back on the 31st. He never showed and has ghosted me ever since. Our house is musty, our doors are ALL sticking, the paint is peeling off the walls, and I have had a dry cough for the past month. My doctor now has me on an inhaler. I am watching our house be completely destroyed in real time while he goes on his merry way. Today is August 15, 2026 and our upstairs is 90 DEGREES. This is not including the humidity. I am out $18,000 and it makes me sick! SIDE NOTE: The BBB told me point blank that they do NOT care about consumer complaints, that these companies PAY to partner with them. If a company had a 1,000 complaints as long as they respond to them, even if they do not fix the problem, they still keep their A status. Also TRANE will NOT help you. They could care less. They tell you that you have to go through your dealer, that your warranty is WITH THEM. Which was NOT explained to me. Even if you get another Trane certified contractor, you have to pay for labor. I have a 10 year warranty for parts and labor as well as an extended warranty for refrigerant and it useless! I have never been so angry and disgusted at the same time! The service, quality and value SUCK!

Needless to say, it basically destroyed the internal components due to them hooking the unit up to a HOT water feed line instead of COLD water per the manufacturer's instructions. When the unit started leaking, we called, and they said it was a manufacturer defect and replaced it again by warranty. They said it could not be replaced again but it leaked within weeks. We gave up on it until years later a licensed master plumber asked us if we knew it was installed wrong and we said no. He said the installer messed up and hooked up to HOT water feed and this is what caused its ultimate failure. We lost over $2300 on this product/company due to their incompetence. Never again.

They sent another company, I will be reviewing next, out and their standard answer was the coils feel cool. The other company always managed to come when it was a cooler day that I could open my windows. Kyle, the younger tech came out and yes it was a milder day and my coils were cool, he was disturbed by a noise it made. Then Mark came the next day when it was 100 degrees in the shade and the coils were not even lukewarm. It took some arguing back and forth with the warranty company but I got a new system put in this past October. This winter, I enjoyed the lowest electric bills ever. THE THING THAT IMPRESSED ME MOST IS THEY -LISTENED- TO THE CUSTOMER... what a concept! I am not going into summer with fear of high bills... I can't thank Kyle, Mark, Wendy and the rest of their kind staff for doing the right thing. I will have bills like I did when I first moved in next year. I can't thank you guys enough.
