They gave us an estimate and 3 or 4 weeks later, it needed to be dry, they dug out, filled with gravel, packed down the area, and laid the asphalt. They did it in one day. At one point maybe 10 guys were working. Within 2 days of the estimate they had someone mark the lines under the ground for gas, electric, etc. I am more than satisfied. They were great.

Their pricing was reasonable, they explained what actually needed to be done, and there was no pressure to add unnecessary work. The difference when they were finished was impressive. Everything looked clean and professionally done, and they left the area in great shape. It's refreshing to find a company that combines good craftsmanship, fair pricing, and straightforward service. I would definitely use HMR Chimney Sweeps again for chimney, fireplace, or masonry work and would recommend them to anyone looking for quality work at a fair price.

This gem of a roofing company thought it'd be totally fine to help themselves to my outdoor electrical outlet. Because why pay for your own power when you can just steal your neighbor's, right? And as a bonus, they left some nice gouges in the driveway. A little gift, I assume? When I called to address it, I naively expected professionalism. Silly me. Instead, I was met with a guy who went straight from zero to belligerent--accused me of lying, took no responsibility, and basically treated my concerns like a personal inconvenience. Charming. The crew? Left behind nails, trash, and the general vibe of a team that just barely watched a YouTube video called "How to Roof: Step 1." Cleanup? Optional. Respect for neighbors' property? Also optional. Accountability? LOL. If you're in the market for a company that delivers a roof and a side of hostility, this is your winner. Otherwise, trust me--hire literally anyone else with a ladder and a pulse

Within days of moving in on November 19th, our contractor found severe hidden issues: active roof leaks, soaked insulation, wood rot, mold in the walls and ceiling, and improperly installed metal roofing where sunlight was visible through gaps. Repairs cost $3,600. I first sent Jim photos and videos showing some of the discovered damage on November 21st and received no response. I then sent even more photos, as well as the contractor's report on Dec 22nd, 2025. For weeks he ignored my emails and texts, then repeatedly tried calling me to "talk on the phone" instead of addressing it in writing like I had requested numerous times. I gave him a written deadline to refund the inspection fee of $750 or I'd file a complaint with the Kentucky Board of Home Inspectors; he missed the deadline and still hasn't taken responsibility. The inspection report also omitted basics such as the HVAC system details, detailed roof description, main water shut-off, and electrical panel. Buyers beware! My experience shows why it's critical to hire an inspector who fully documents findings and stands behind their work.
