We were driving to Vegas from Park City when the gasket on our windshield delaminated (it was swinging all over the place and our temporary fix with athletic tape worked for 1/4 of a mile. We found A-1 Glass and called to see if they could help. At first they said they could fit me in next week, but when I said we were driving through they offered to take a look. They fixed the gasket in less than 15 minutes and we were able to continue to Vegas. They were very friendly and provided excellent customer service. just now I have a 1968 aristocrat camper. (Super old school.) While traveling from denver to santa cruz, I jack knifed the camper on the interstate and blew, not one, but two windows completely out. knowing that this camper is so old, I had very low hopes of getting it fixed. Don't Bother!! (I'd give it a negative star, if I could) On the way home from Colorado, a rock hit and chipped the windshield of our sedan. We got home and babied it for 4 days to get through the holiday weekend--keeping it in the garage and not taking it anywhere. We took it to A-1 Glass in Cedar City. They said 20 minutes. We returned after an hour to find it hadn't moved. Went home and called them 3.5 hours later...before they closed. The gentleman we spoke to said he didn't even know it was there...they'd get it done and it would be ready in 20 minutes. We go in to pick it up only to find the car STILL sitting in the same place...only NOW after 4 hours in the sun...the chip had split and splintered all across the windshield. We now have to replace the windshield!! Damn sure I'm not going to ask them to replace it--I'll drive all the way to St. George and have it done. Never again!!!! read more

Everyone has a story about how a female got treated unfairly by a mechanic and it's unfortunately true that women in general get taken advantage of by the auto repair industry. NOT at A-1. My wife went in there to have leak where her windshield and roof meet checked out. This place is awesome. I called for a windshield replacement quote, they not only had an appointment open for me the next day but they were less expensive than the company my insurance recommended. (I had to pay out of pocket due to deductible reasons) My car was taken in right away and the guy quoted me about less than an hr for the replacement and it turned out to be faster than that. I called Monday morning to schedule a windshield replacement for this Friday. I gave the gentleman all of my car information, and scheduled my appointment. We dropped off our car a few hours before the appointment, because we had overlapping plans. Shortly after we dropped off the car, we got a phone call telling us they didn't have our windshield and we'd have to wait until Monday to get it done. I asked why it wasn't it, and we were told there was an error from the company they order from, and the order wasn't placed/received. I was rather annoyed, because I feel like the company should be taking inventory of all the windshields they order and receive to make sure they have everything for upcoming appointments. A-1 is the lowest priced windshield replacement company, but I am disappointed we have to wait another 3 days for our replacement. read more
