What is one supposed to say about a storage unit? It is a boring business. It is not exciting…read more They are not selling you a product that you can take home and wear or eat or admire. I don't think anyone on this planet drives by a storage facility and says, "wow, what an awesome place to spend money." I don't think anyone even cares about these types of businesses.......until they need one. I had some rather expensive furniture delivered before we were ready to put it in our house and I was suddenly in need of a place/. I went to THREE different places to find a unit to rent and I got the run around over and over. The final one was on 7th east right south of Sandy city self storage. There was a sign on the door they said 'be right back'. I, along with 2 other customers sat outside in the middle of the day for more than 20 minutes. No one came. I suddenly had visions of my high school prom date ghosting me after dinner...and became frustrated seeing as how this was the third go aground. I googled storage units near me and up popped sandy city storage. And it was just a couple blocks away. I pulled up and met a man named Bailey. He was friendly, fast, efficient and had me in and out within 10 minutes. Voila. Finished! When I came back a week later to load in the furniture, he again was there and helped me get situated, and was extremely helpful. Now, several months later, I went to check out and couldn't remember the process to get into my unit. He smiled and then helped me out again. It's like Thai guy loves his job. It's like he is super proud to work for such a great....albeit....boring company. Bailey was fantastic!!! So, if you need to store l crap, or treasured jewels, give him a call and you will be glad you did. ....I wonder if the person ever came back from their break at that other storage place..... oh wellZ. Thanks Bailey!!

In Feb 2024 I called 11 different storage companies on the West side of Salt Lake valley. 10 of them would not tell me what their history is for raising rents on existing customers, and would not connect me to anyone with authority to discuss it. I had been renting from Extra Space Storage for 7 years, during which time they raised my rent an exorbitant 140%, but would never connect me with anyone to explain why. They are currently charging new customers 120% less than me. Bait and Switch! When I called Copperview, I talked directly with the owner, Jim. He explained that he treats existing and new customers equally when he his costs require rate changes. I talked to two different people who have rented from him for years, and they each confirmed that rates have risen reasonably, close to inflation. They are pleased with how they have been treated. I started renting at Copperview in Feb 2024 for the lowest rate of any of the 11 companies I had called, for my size unit. He and his staff have treated me very well. Now that is something I can trust. Dennis S.

Units are kind of junky and door is hard to open due to rust Im guessing. Then come to find out, all my stuff became mouse infested. I had to get rid of almost everything due to the damage caused by mouse poop and urine and all the chewed through things. I wouldn't have minded the jump in price otherwise, everything is going up in costs. I wish I would have taken pictures at the time I was emptying this thing out but I was mad over having to throw away a lot of my belongings. Emails don't get a response either. Just an overall disappointing and gross experience.

A few months ago, a crew from this company (Shawn, Jesse, and Charlie) was hired to help move our apartment neighbor. Funny enough, we were moving on the exact same day, so we were constantly in each other's way.. sharing the walkway, 3 flights of stairs, etc. We all know how stressful moving can be, but this team went out of their way to help us too!! They genuinely restored a little of my faith in humanity. Whenever they had a free moment, or after they finished moving our neighbor's items, they would each grab a load and help us carry things.. simply out of kindness! And before anyone complains, our neighbor wasn't upset. Their help didn't slow down or interfere with his move at all. Their willingness to help speaks volumes about both the company and the team they have. They truly go above and beyond, and that's exactly the kind of service and character you hope to see from a moving crew. I sincerely hope their management recognizes the hard work and kindness of Shawn, Jesse, and Charlie. They left a lasting impression.
