They showed up early and were already backed up to my gate with the Uboxes open and ready to start loading. They scheduled my move for two hours and finished in one hour! They carefully wrapped all of my furniture in moving blankets and packed my stuff into the boxes so that the next movers, who will be moving me into my new apartment in a new city, won't have any issues. They pressured me into making a down payment to lock in the rate, and I did, because the estimate seemed reasonable. Well, the move ended up taking all day. From 9 till 5. And the workers seemed to be doing everything to draw out the process. One guy was on his phone with friends multiple times. We overheard another telling the new guy "if a job goes past 3:30, they won't make us do a second." And they were so inefficient! The truck had a ramp and an elevator lift, and they used the lift for every single box. They were taking their sweet time. When we got to my new house the foreman handed me an iPad with the charges, and--before I said anything--told me that if I had any issues with it I should call corporate. And then he sat down and got on his phone. Listen: I get that there are travel charges. But we traveled, one truck, from North Salt Lake to Millcreek--maybe 20 miles. So why was the travel charge more than $500 and an ADDITIONAL fuel charge more than $350? And that's to say nothing of the "packing materials" which we never asked for or were quoted about--another $240. And of course now labor was nine hours, not four. And they wouldn't unload the truck until I paid. They were holding my furniture hostage. Well I paid. But I have been told twice over the phone that they are going to investigate, and it's been ten days of nothing. Do not use this company. Especially not the Utah branch.

They are running a deceptive operation that relies on hidden policies to cheat customers who pay for premium coverage. We moved our belongings into a storage unit for a few months while between houses. Upon opening the unit, I discovered our television was entirely shattered. When I contacted the office, the manager, Adrian Torres, did not even offer an apology. Instead, he claimed that because more than 96 hours had passed, they would do nothing about it-outright telling me it was "not their problem." This is a direct violation of consumer transit laws. Under both Utah State Law (Utah Code § 72-9-402) and Federal Law (49 U.S.C. § 14706), household goods carriers are strictly prohibited from enforcing arbitrary 96-hour windows to bar property recovery. The law says we have four months to file a claim. They do not care about the law. We paid extra for Full Value Protection, and they are legally required to process this claim.Accidents happen and things break, but a business refusing to stand by its premium insurance or state regulations is entirely unacceptable. Save yourself the stress and money-take your business to an honest moving company that actually values honesty and integrity. I have used other movers that accidentally broke something and immediately made it right. Standard complaints are being filed with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) and the FMCSA.
