I had to find a storage unit last minute, I called them up and within 30 minutes they had a large clean unit ready for me! The representative on the phone was extremely helpful/ explained all the up front costs and policies. When I got to the unit the staff was super helpful and friendly- they showed me right to the unit. Two months later we moved everything out and once again the staff was very friendly and helpful. In the past 2 years of having my camper there I've had issues with space for backing into the rented spot from others parking over too much. The first year a mysterious dent from a possible rock thrown at my camper and just this month I seem to have had someone attempt to pry my door open. Moved out today, but decided to look around and noticed the additional 5 trailers were pried upon as well. There are NO cameras within the storage yard where the campers are. The only camera I was told was on the front gate which doesn't help much. I informed the office of these issues, but didn't seen they cares even when he was right there in the yard with us saying there was no issues to the other trailers. Didnt even go look. I'm done with this location and ExtraSpace as a whole. Good luck to the others storing in there open yard. read more

I'm disappointed with the pricing. After shopping around online and comparing a number of facilities I chose to go here, as it was conveniently located near me. The problem I have is that nowhere do they mention that a mandatory insurance policy is required to rent the unit. So in addition to the rate they quoted me you have to add on another 16$ a month. Very shameful marketing practice. There are other facilities near me that would have been less expensive had I known of the additional charge that they require. Having already driven here with my items and being sorry on time I had no choice but to agree to pay the additional fee. Dishonest. I feel the need to warn others. read more

My father was moving had a Menlo Park it was hot that day and he said somebody can die in there he's got the hospital bill for over $15,000 and the car was broken into and items were removed computers laptops TV all because a girl thought I hit my father was trying to commit suicide we have written to corporate office ignored we have called corporate office ignored we called district manager ignored. But yet my father is disabled and has congestive heart failure and we got the hospital bills and we're trying to get the recorded I do not recommend them I know my brother my father two of them in Ventura County discriminated against them okay how can they discriminate it is supposed to be illegal and they cannot seem to find the information on their computer ain't that funny when my father was in the hospital they broke into his car and took a lot of the electronics that he had because he was moving to read in California about 800 miles north in Shasta County and they don't want to take responsibility read more

Do not rent here. This used to be a nice, family run business - I had two storage units here and never once had a problem with the owners/managers for years until Extra Space took over a couple of years back and they have been nothing but a headache. They raise the rents about every 18 months - from $42 to $48 to now $62 for the same unit. They cannot seem to understand that I pay for several months of rent at a time and are constantly calling me telling me my account is in arrears when in reality it is paid in full for months in advance. They've removed the trash bins for customers to use, so if you are cleaning out your old stuff, you haul it away. There used to be a communal dumpster available to all customers. They don't communicate their rate increases in any sort of orderly fashion, there is no incentive for customers to stay on, they don't seem to value long time customers. So, I'm now finding some place else to take my business. read more
