Full disclosure: I just came in to check the price. That was the first question I asked and I got the answer. No I'm not telling you, because I think it's worth the visit. Maybe if you message me I'll spill the beans. I must say it was my best experience asking a specialty gym for pricing. I was welcomed in and given an impromptu tour just in the spot. I asked price, got an answer and a free tour. There was zero pressure at all. All of the workouts seemed simple enough for me and that says a lot. In fact I walked around sipping on my smoothie as I asked questions. I was showed around by "The One" because everyone gets do fighter names. That's just so cool! A friend and I decided to checkout their FREE intro class. Man, what a workout. The longest 30 minutes of our lives, but also the most invigorating workout we've ever had. I highly recommend 9round. Clean facility. The trainers are super helpful and tough as nails. The workouts change daily, so you never know what to expect. Love this place, the workout and the trainers. I started with the free one 9 round workout and was shocked at how fun and challenging it was. I signed up that day and you haven't been able to pry me away since. Every day is a new workout, the music is great, your progress is on the mounted tv to show you your heart rate. The times are great for people who work all types of shifts. If you get anything from this review, try it out for the free one class... let your body tell you how good of a workout it was! read more

Let me preface this with an explanation of my previous boxing experience. I've been technically boxing for 7 years at once LA Boxing and currently UFC GYM. I was coming into 9round to check it out and see if it is something I may want to add to my current 3-4 days of working out. It was an ok workout. It wasn't long enough for me. The trainers were friendly and pretty attentive. I just think $79 a month plus $150-$200 membership fee is a little steep for a mediocre workout. I'm thinking this is more for a general workout not really boxing . Maybe I could try a one month gift certificate for $49 but they made it clear I could only do it once. :/ bummer read more

9 rounds is a great place. The workouts are challenging and change daily so you don't get bored. I always tell people don't cheat yourself by slacking on your workouts...with that being said you control your level of effort so if you go in slacking you won't get a good workout but if you go in and out fort an effort you will have a good calorie/fat burning workout. They also have heart monitors that are projected on screens up so that you can keep an eye on your heart rate and caloric burn. I read another review about the challenges with membership but that is not the case with me. I needed an adjustment with my membership and the staff quickly helped to resolve it, they worked with me and I really appreciate that. The staff and owner are knowledgeable and are seriously interested in helping you become the best you that you can be!!! Love this place! read more

I was a former Crossfitter, but the class times at the boxes in Waldorf didn't work for me. I needed something else, something flexible and decided to give this a try! Pro: -Coaches are friendly and supportive! Ensure your form is correct and are encouraging. -Price point is much better than what I was paying for CF -flexible based on my schedule -enjoy actually expending energy punching /kicking a bag, somehow deeply satisfying after a stressful day. -workouts are good and quick, each station is a few mins so not matter how 'bad' it is, you move on pretty quick. -unrelated note, zips (opening soon) and smoothie King are next door, so it's convenient when dropping and picking up dry cleaning to stop in for quick workout. And protein smoothies.. Lol Con: - still trying to find my own rhythm and timing for best times for me to come in (personal problem) -miss the 'group' aspect of CF (personal problem) -miss bar bell work (personal problem) P. I really hate giving this company 1 star but reviews are for everyone to get a feel for the entire experience you had with a company with that being said let's get started. Signing up to take the free class was amazing the agents got back to you very quickly and answered all my questions to make sure they got you through the door. I was like wow this is awesome and they are on it. I chose to do the month to month membership to make sure this was something I liked and wanted to stick with before I did a 3 or 6 month membership, boy am I glad I did that. The way the class is scheduled I can definitely see if you keep with it you will lose a lot of weight and it was fun and entertaining. All the instructors there were extremely helpful and encouraging and I really loved going here so why the 1 star you ask. Getting you in the door and signing you up to take your money is where the communication stops, when you go to cancel this membership it is a run around and no one will get back to you. Like I said I want to tell you about my whole experience. I got hurt not at this gym but playing softball, since I have had this injury before I know how long it is going to take for my body to heal, since I am on a month to month contract no big deal right, I planned to simply get off the month to month and once my knee was completely better rejoin; no sense paying for 2 to 3 months where I won't be able to work out anyway right, let me save my money. I knew from signing up I had to do a min of 2 months for the month to month which I had no problem with but for month 3 I wanted to cancel my membership until my knee got back where it needs to be so I called in to see what I needed to do to accomplish this. Now this is where the 1 star comes in... So I call and talk to one of the oh so helpful agents that I talked to when I was signing up and explained to her what happened and asked her what I needed to do to cancel my membership. To which I was told, " You need a note from your doctor." I laughed her out. I then repeated to her what she said to me " So you are telling me to cancel my month to month subscription with your company I need a note from my doctor." because I thought clearly she was not thinking about what she said to me and she repeated yes, so I continued to laugh. I said " Oh really because if I cancel this with my credit card, I don't think I will need a doctor note for that will I??? She then pretended to act confused and said she would have a manager call me back and explain the process, that was last Wed, still haven't received a call from the owner or the manager. The next day I sent an email and told them about what I wanted to accomplish and what was said to me to which I have still not received a phone call. Why do I have to keep reaching out to your company to cancel a month to month membership??? This is completely ridiculous!!!! Placed a phone call to the establishment this morning talked to someone else about an hour ago and was told the form will be sent to me...let's see how long this takes, it's now been 6 days trying to cancel a month to month contract.... read more

I joined in January and I was only working out twice a week but after getting to know the trainers I was excited about working out and now I try to get in there at least 4 days a week, 5 on a good week. The trainers at the Waldorf location are awesome. I decided to take part in the March Madness Challenge as a personal challenge because in my mind I have certain limits but with the help of the trainers pushing me I realize I am much stronger than I thought. My attitude about certain exercises would turn me away from even trying. My biggest problem is my erratic breathing, stops me every time. Luckily with trainers like Wanda "Da Boss", Honey Bee and Heru I have learned so much about technique and breathing I feel like I can go forever!! ;-) Work out when you want, trainers are always willing to help. This is a very honest review of this location! Overall the work out was mediocre but I can see how it can work for some people, just not for me. At one point the trainer was talking to a man who just finished his workout and we were waiting on her to tell us our next exercise (while we were in between stations) I enjoyed the music but the location was way too small! It felt like a matchbox, I've seen bigger 9round locations. The Trainer honeybee was "decent" and demonstrated the exercises for each stations. My fiancé is a mma fighter and could tell she didn't know much about kickboxing. She told my fiancé and I that she was the only trainer because in the past other trainers didn't work out (maybe another trainer would have helped to demonstrate while she's talking to other clients) I found that very odd that one location only has 1 trainer. She also wasn't wiping down stations in between clients, so it wasn't sanitary nor was her mask on fully on!! She didn't seem that knowledgeable when we discussed how it takes my fiancé who is in great shape longer to get his heart rate up than me. You're a trainer, why don't you know this? The very weird moment was when she began OVERTLY complimenting my fiancés body. It wasn't professional at all and she took more interest in his muscles, than my fitness goals (super awkward!!) My fiancé wasn't planning on joining, he was just there to support me, yet they are still texting him (from now a new google number they created) after we both blocked their texts and emails!! It's very annoying!! PLEASE STOP!! All in all I took my business elsewhere. read more
