After careful consideration, we decided that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu would be the best thing for him, and the choices in the valley are somewhat limited that way. Most everything is Taekwondo... Any who, we checked out Flashback after speaking to one of the owners, Jina. We gave it a week's trial, and really love the fun way coach Jesse and Jina (husband & wife) teach the classes. They are playful and very nice, but firm and expect respect from the kids. It was perfect for my son. There is plenty of 1-1 training too, and great examples, in addition to daily sparing where the kids get to put what they learned to the test. Though we were not able to continue to go due to personal reasons, which was quite unfortunate, I would go back in a heartbeat if possible. My wife and son loved it otherwise. If you have a child (or yourself as an adult) wants to learn self-defense and a martial art's system that will be superior to Taekwondo and other forms of karate, then check this place out!

Be wary when signing any contract…read more I had a family emergency (dying father) and requested in writing, via FB Messenger to put my membership on hold for a month, which is a cost of $5. Because it wasn't a registered letter, per the signed contract, she wouldn't do it. Then I requested my membership be cancelled, via email, and again, she wouldn't do it without a registered letter. My husband went in-person to cancel my membership, but because I had missed the 30-day requirement (I had met the requirement via the email), I was going to be charged another month, which I refused to pay. It is now in collections- ($143; $98 is the cost of the monthly membership). $5 and one month....that was all I needed. I supported this owner when she was closed during the pandemic, which was about 2.5-3 months but I didn't not get that same support, "it's just business" she said. I would say yes to the workout but I would find a different owner to subscribe with. The Oshkosh 9Round has a different owner who is very likeable and flexible.

After that month I noticed a $25 fee taken out of my account. I called the number listed to the business. Left a message stating I wanted a refund because I had told the guy I wouldn't be in Grafton for that long. I received no response. I assumed it had been handled when no one called me back. Two weeks later I noticed two more $25 withdrawals. I called the same number and someone actually answered. Apparently it was the owner. As I was trying to explain the situation he cut me off and told me to stop talking. He didn't like that I was talking down to him. I told him I wasn't. I was explaining what happened, but now I'm upset by your lack of understanding my frustration. I told him I called weeks ago to stop the withdrawals and no one called me back and the money was still being taken. He had the audacity to tell me that I should have tried another mode of communication. I told him I called the business number, what other way should I contact you? He said email. Okay...Then he asked me to text him my full name and he'll handle it when he gets to the gym. I asked him when someone will call me back to know it's been taken care of. He said no one will call me back because he was going to handle it that very night. He wanted to make sure he knew what I had signed up for and speak to the trainer. Fair enough. I sent him the text with a screenshot of my previous call that went unreturned. However, it's been a week and I haven't heard a word from him and there's no return in my account. I'm waiting to see if another $25 is taken from my account without my permission before I take legal action. Everything has been documented. So yeah it's a great workout but the owner has no idea what he's doing. Don't list your cell phone number as the business number if you don't want customers and members to call it.

The trainers push me to work harder than I think is possible, whether it's by increasing weights, increasing reps, or completing 1 extra round... or 9. Not only does a membership include nutrition information via email, but the trainers are also always ready to offer tips on nutrition to help members accomplish their goals. I have developed great friendships along the way with others who have the same or similar fitness goals as my own. We participate in races and workouts together outside of our normal 9Round routine. We also have the opportunity to compete in friendly competition that encourages us to become better versions of ourselves. I cannot say enough good things about my experiences at 9Round. I am thankful that I am involved in such a great organization and I can truly say that getting my 9Round workout in is one of the things I look forward to most every day.

By the time I got there, my family had mostly set up the area, but there were several picnic tables and lots of space for our own lawn chairs as well as setting up some lawn games to play. The park is generously sized and has several large parking lots. There are playgrounds and, the main draw for many, is the beach area. Swimming was free and the sandy area was kept fairly tidy. There were lifeguards on duty, both on shore and at the raft with the slide and diving boards. You must be able to swim out there on your own and demonstrate a basic ability to stay afloat, in order to dive and whatnot. The water is a Wisconsin lake, so expect some algae and seaweed and even some fish. It is nature. Don't expect pristine-ness. I don't know when or if I will ever be back, but this is a nice park with a lot to offer .

Of course, when I got there, it happened to be the "last day" of a $1 down 7 day free trial, which I could supposedly cancel within the 7 days with no penalty charge. BUYER BEWARE. Bait and switch!!! Predatory business practice!! I was told "the annual maintenance fee will come out 60 days after signing" and the monthly dues wouldnt be charged until 30 days after signing. Those terms provided by one of their employees completely changed once I provided my ACH information. Any calls to corporate aren't staffed and they refer you to your local gym. They have stopped responding to me and have made unauthorized charges to my card. Pretty slimy. Nothing like trying to retain new guests, work with me, or even ask why I wanted to cancel in the first place! Take your business elsewhere! Hot yoga class was staffed by someone with limited experience. Barre class was staffed by a sub. Facilities are clean. Business ethics, basic decency, and responsiveness - abhorrent.

The trainers track your progress and gradually increase the difficulty of your workouts so you never plateau. The group classes are fun too. They're usually only 3-4 people so you get lots of personal attention. I highly recommend kickboxing, PiYo and the Strength Circuit. For small group classes and personal training the prices are great. I highly recommend XO for people of any level who want to get in shape and stay motivated!
