My siblings got together today at the Milford location. Usually, I check out the menu of a place before dining there. I looked at the menu the night before and there were SO MANY delicious items on the online menu but when we got there half of the things that sounded good were NOT on the menu, which leads me to believe they put up an old menu (with old prices). Just to give you an idea of what sounded good: smothered sirloin tips, grilled lemon rosemary chicken tips, balsamic grilled chicken, sirloin and sirloin seafood trio, Mediterranean shrimp bowl, southwest fajita bowl, grilled Dijon asparagus, baked stuffed clams, baked seafood stuffed mushrooms, french onion sirloin, balsamic salmon, baked pasta and others. I know this is a lot to list but I was very disappointed that they had an old menu on their website. We had a sub standard meal and the bill, with one beer and one glass of wine, came to $102.00 (fish & chips, cheeseburger, fried chicken and baked fish). Won't be going there any time soon. What was disappointing was the restaurant was out of several items. I ordered a hamburger cooked medium with mustard. The hamburger was served well done and they were out of mustard. A friend ordered prime rib and asked for fresh horseradish as apposed to horseradish sour cream. They didn't have fresh horseradish . Another friend ordered steak with cilantro rice. They were out of the rice. I typically like 99 and haven't had an issues at other locations, seems Milford's management needs to evaluate their provisioning process. read more

The pieces of chicken were the smallest ones I've ever seen as a portion never mind in a salad. If you're trying to save money with portion control, you're surly doing a great job. My mom lost a coupon she desired to use but Destiny saw it and told her that the manager said it was all set that they would utilize another one. She didn't have to do that at all. I know Covid happened, but this 99 has gone completely downhill. Food: they no longer have chicken parmigiana?? No longer serve pasta of any kind?? No potato skins because they couldn't get them from the same place they used to, so now they have potato boats that are terrible and nobody orders them? No longer have Caesar salad? It's unheard of with an chain restaurant competing with Applebees next door and Friday's! I just went last night and even the staff mentioned that so many people are complaining about the reduced menu and also the hours as they close early now. People don't want to stop in on Sunday's because they close too early. Management has been turned over a few times in the last few years, but apparently they aren't listening to their customers. Staff: I can attest to Molly who is fabulous and there is a young man who bartends and is wonderful. The rest, is mixed reviews every time! I can understand being understaffed, but don't understand waitresses on their cell phones while customers are waiting. It's been getting worse since they reopened during Covid and last nights dinner wasn't great either. Has to return the baked stuffed shrimp as it wasn't cooked completely and the sides were cold. I hope management sees this rating and their overall rating is a 2.5. Something needs to change quickly or they will be out of business and closed just as we saw with Bugaboo years ago. I took my Dad to 99 in Milford Ma today for the lobster roll special. He was so looking forward to it. After ordering we waited at least a half hour for 2 cold lobster salad rolls. The waitress passed us & told us they were toasting the buns. In the meantime the whole area had received their meals except us. ( & they already ate!) After another 10 minutes we just left. I ate lunch at their outdoor seating with family. A long loose piece on the edge of the table might have cut someone if they weren't careful. I ordered a dish that came with guacamole. Because I'm allergic to it, I requested it in a separate dish for my daughter. When a server brought my dish, it came with a separate dish of guacamole plus a large scoop of it in the dish. The server brought it back to the kitchen. A few minutes later, the waitress brought out the dish "without" guacamole. She informed me that the server simply grabbed the wrong dish. I later discovered the kitchen staff just scooped out the guacamole from the original dish. When the manager called me to follow up on my complaint, he offered to send a gift card towards another dish. He took my address, then left a voicemail about a week later to follow up (lost my address?). I returned his call, giving my address to another manager to pass along. Update: No follow up. Why, Peps across the street is always packed and serves much later. Bartenders are generally good, lousy pour, it's all measured way too much to be worth the price. I own an electric vehicle and was disappointed to see the charger parking was completely blocked off with jersey barriers in favor of an outdoor seating area which was not being used. This irritated me but went inside anyways. I stood inside at the host station waiting for someone to seat me for nearly 10 minutes.
