I hit this company up for a last minute move (2 days prior) based on a yelp response I got. Pricing for a 2 man crew, truck and equipment seemed fair. Long story short, they waited until 2 hours before my scheduled move to pull a bait and switch. They ridiculously changed the price from $89 per hour to $139 stating $139 is the price WITH a truck, which goes against what I was originally quoted. My ex and I were moving across town. We booked this company and felt really good about it. On the day of the move, which was supposed to start at 8:30am, they texted us to let us know they were running late. Later they text us they were in an accident and had no clue when they could get a truck to us with another set of movers. This was our only day to move. Our lease ended the next day. So we booked another moving company last minute and let 911 movers know. They were very understanding and offered a refund of our deposit. This was January 25th. He said they were running late and provided no updated time. 3 hours later past the appointment time he said he would call me in 15 mins with an updated time and he has completely blocked me. The day I scheduled it for was the only day I had available to move and had to be moved out that day. The company was very responsive when communicating with me, which was great. The day of the move.. my movers were supposed to show up at 2pm. They never showed. Tom communicated with me that they were running behind.. which ended up being 5+ hrs late due to an accident. However, Tom & Eric came to pick up my stuff when the other crew couldn't make it. I'm leaving 3 stars for Tom & Eric being so awesome, and the fourth for this company making things right for me. Honestly, I saw all of the negative reviews and I should have listened to them more wholeheartedly. I'll share a breakdown of my miserable experience with this company from start to finish. Initial planning & pickup: I needed a mover last minute to move 4 boxes an office chair, 2 guitars, and an air purifier from Vegas to LA and these guys not only showed up late for pickup, but the movers had no idea what they were picking up, where they were taking it, or when it should be delivered despite me sending communication of this through multiple avenues well in advance (text, email, and through Yelp messages). They arrived with a giant Uhaul truck instead of their own company truck or a cargo van (like they said they would for my amount of items). They were charging $1850 to move my items, which I knew was overpriced for what we were moving. This company didn't organize or track my items at all and didn't handle them with any amount of care. I had to ask them to take pictures to send it to me because they had no process in place to track my items themselves. I had to remind them to take the first payment for the move as well (which was half the cost upfront) which was infuriating since it's not my job to remind them how to do theirs. They made me pay through cash app because of some excuse about credit cards being charged twice through their machines which was really sketchy as well since I've already seen a lot of reviews about people not getting their deposits back when they would no-show after receiving payments via cash app. It's all a lame excuse to prevent you being able to dispute the payments as much as possible. The Move: The items were scheduled to be delivered on Sunday at 3 PM (two days after pickup). I even reached out to them earlier in the morning on Sunday and said I would be fine for them to show up earlier if they needed to since they said they had another job in LA. They ended up arriving at 5:20 PM which was well past the scheduled delivery time and past the time my storage was open. I told them they would need to hold the items for another day since they dropped the ball and arrived so late. I even offered to wake up at 5 AM to meet them at our storage at 6 AM so they could quickly drop off our items since they were concerned about another move they needed to do that day. One of the movers then reached out and asks for me to send them $300 through cash app for a hotel, gas and food. I called their boss and mentioned 1. I was not going to pay them anything to cover those costs since it was their own fault for poorly managing their time. And 2. It was extremely unprofessional to even reach out and ask a customer for money like this. The boss, Luis, then tried to profusely apologize to rectify the situation and said not to worry about it and that it was their fault and they'll handle it, so I tried to look past it and leave it at that. Arrival Day/Delivery: I woke up at 5 AM with a text from one of the movers claiming the storage isn't open until 9 AM that he sent at midnight the previous night (I was already asleep at that point since I had to wake up at 5). I then texted him in the morning to remind him I have extended morning hours (which I had already communicated the day before) and called him to no response. The boss then calls around 6 AM (when we were to have already met) to let me know the movers were on their way. I arrive at the storage and the movers are sitting in their truck not coming out to unload our items. We go to their window to see what's going on and they said they were waiting for a call from their boss. I then received a text from their boss, Luis, asking me for money AGAIN to cover their expenses for being there overnight even after the conversation from the day before. I was infuriated at this point. I kept trying to give them opportunities to redeem themselves and they failed over and over again. I called Luis and laid into him about how he shouldn't even have the nerve to ask me for ANY additional payment at this point as I already went out of my way to get there early so they could make it to their next job on time. Only AFTER that exchange with Luis, the movers finally got out of the car and unloaded our items. I didn't even let them take it to my storage unit because I was so infuriated. They had the wardrobe box on its side and an expensive air purifier of mine was just rolling around in the back of the truck on its side. Yet again, the movers forgot to collect the payment before leaving and this time I didn't remind them, because it's not my job to do so. Following that, they've been trying to harass me to answer calls to complete the payment despite this horrendous experience and lack of professionalism that they were already overcharging for. Please steer clear of this company regardless of how desperate of a situation you're in, it's for your own sanity & peace of mind. read more

Unfortunately, it did not work out well for us with 911 movers. We chose 911 movers as they could fit us in their schedule last minute, and the rate was the most affordable $115/ hours. I get it that things happen, so I was fine when they showed up 4 hours late on the first day because they got a fender bender on the way. On that first day, two movers came. Needless to say, they were tired because it was 7pm, and we were their 4th move of the day. We called it the day when it was two hours in as we didn't want to finish it at midnight. They had half of our stuff in their Uhaul for the night, and said that they would come back with more men to finish the job quickly. Onto day 2, four movers came at 7:30 am, moved for another 5 hours, and left my new place with two twin beds disassembled because the mover misplaced some screws. Day 3, they were supposed to come back with the screws to put the two twin beds together. They did not come. Going on day 4 today, someone is supposed to come "later this afternoon". I'm still waiting for that someone. We needed to move from a 3bed/ 2bath single story home (1500sq ft) to a two story home that is 5 miles away. I did not think it was an efficient move, although the movers were kind and nice to our furnitures. They gave me a small discount because we had to sleep on the floor the fist night, but over all expense with tip is still much higher than expected. I hired these movers for a last minute move. They were the fastest to respond and also provided the best rates. My appointment was at 9:30 and they didn't show up until after 10:00. There was some communication with me saying they were running behind and needed to get fuel. No problem. There were two men who showed up and loaded the truck fairly quickly. When it was time to go to the next address, they said they needed to stop and get gas first. I guess they were running late for other reasons. They got the job done, but I was a little worried at times with a few times falling over while they loaded and unloaded. They also secured my tv to the wall of the truck but I guess not well enough since it fell over during transport. Nothing broke and they did the work. read more

I would not recommend 911 Movers and Storage. The reason is because I personally called to confirm service date 48 hours prior to moving date. The movers were to arrive on November 15 at 10am. THE MOVERS DID NOT ARRIVE UNTIL. 3:06PM . THEY did not have the necessary supplies such as straps, boxes, foam, and blankets. In addition they caused damage to two walls at the drop.off location which was a NEWLY REHABBED PROPERTY. I have been waiting for the owner to send a vendor to repair my wall (s) and yet HE HAS EVERY EXCUSE AS TO WHY A VENDOR HAS NOT BEEN SENT TO THE LOCATION. I paid 450.00 for a move that was 5 hours LATE. I would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THEM AS THEY ARE NOT PUNCTUAL & THE OWNER DOES NOT HONOR HIS WORD REGARDING DAMAGES. DONT HIRE!!! I got an estimate to move my fridge and gave them all the information of the move and the fridge. The scheduling process was unprofessional and they asked for a $100 deposit via cashapp. I had to reschedule twice due to miscommunication on their end. Once they arrived they were not able to move my fridge and they damaged my flooring and my fridge in the process even after I told them the details of the move. When I requested a return of my deposit they implied it was my fault for not giving them all the details of the move. My calls and messages have been ignored. Very unprofessional. A moving company should estimate and scope out projects beforehand. Over a month later and I've still not received a refund of my deposit for a move they never did. These folks are great. They showed up ready to work, packed the items in the truck carefully and quickly (wrapped and padded anything that could break during transport), drove to the new location and unloaded in the same manner. The guys had great attitudes, one of them killed himself to get my bed frame broken down and rebuilt before they left even after I told him I would take care of it (it wouldnt fit going up the stairs). I had them move my mom from a Vegas upstairs condo back to her home in L.A. They were available for a Sunday -Monday move and were flexible and reasonably priced. They ran about an hour late the morning of, as they had to rent a uHaul since their regular truck was vandalized the night before. We were very pleased with them. They came out the same day, and delivered our cabinets with care and professionalism.

We had an antique pool table that we needed to move from our neighbors house to ours. While it wasn't a long distance, the table was 9 feet long and hadn't ever been moved since it was purchased in 1968. Since it was an older table it also was hard to disassemble. We needed it moved with less than 24 hours notice. The guys quoted us a time the within our needed window. It took around 3 hours to take it apart and move it to our house. They were very gentle and took great care of all of the parts as they took it apart and were extra careful with the slate. We needed it refelted after it was moved so we did not have them reassemble it but they offered to come back and put it all together once that was completed. The price was very reasonable and I'd gladly recommend them to friends in the future and would use them again myself. read more
