We visited 91 again. Still has excellent food and service. We had the spinach and artichoke dip for an app. Very tasty as was the lemon chicken and vodka shrimp. Despite being very busy with prom week, our food was prompt and hot. We also took an order of creme brulait home for later. Still good, still busy and going strong. read more

This was my first time to 91, and I was really looking forward to it because I had heard great things. The ambience was warm and inviting. There is a main seating area with plenty of tables and booths & then there is a large room for a larger party. Our waitress was fine, and the food was good. The salad was okay. The bread was honestly the best part. There are a lot of good pizza places in Ohio, and I am a huge fan of wood fired pizza, but theirs didn't hit the spot. It was a bit too flat, and didn't have the nice chewy yet crunchy texture that I look for. I, personally, wouldn't go out of my way to stop here again when I'm back in town, but I had a good experience. read more

This place was very inviting and nicely decorated. There was a good crowd but it's Saturday night so that's what you should expect. However there were plenty of tables and we were seated quickly even though didn't have reservations. The service was good. Didn't have to wait long but I did wish the menu a bit more extensive. Nothing on the app menu spoke to me and I like starting out with an app and a drink while I look over the menu. Helps me to relax so I can enjoy a good meal. And that's exactly what I ordered. My parents and I dined here on New Years Eve, and unfortunately, things were pretty below par. I was first introduced to 91 back in the Summer of 2014, and it was a phenomenal restaurant. Dishes were rich in flavor, and well-presented. Overnight, it became a favorite dining spot of mine and my parents. We went here for years. The last time I ate here was during the Fall of 2022, and I have to say, I could tell the food was starting to go downhill. Tonight was probably the last time we'll ever go here, unless we get gift cards. For starters, the restaurant was completely overbooked. Having worked in the restaurant business for over 3 years, you have to be mindful of how many parties you take on during special occasions, otherwise the food/service will suffer, and the waiting lobby will be packed. Now to be fair, the appetizers were great. The 91 chips haven't lost their touch, and the mushroom risotto was delicious. Beautifully seasoned, mushrooms had the best texture you could get. We then waited close to 45 minutes for our entrees after ordering. Sadly, it wasn't worth the wait. My dad's burger was dry, and the Tuscany chicken risotto was a massive step-down from the mushroom one: bland risotto, somewhat tough chicken (though well-favored), and an unseasoned sliced tomato on top. Presentation-wise, it kinda looked like something I'd make it college when I first learned how to cook. Risotto is usually served in a bowl with the protein sliced on top, and if there's something like a tomato, it's at least seasoned. Despite being overbooked, I don't think that's the sole reason why things weren't great. Again, none of this would be an issue if this were a "grab and go" American-Italian eatery. But because it's a $24 entree, there's an expectation. If someone were to order a dish like this from L'Albatros in Cleveland, the adjacent Little Italy district, or even here on the other side of town at Gervasi, it would probably get sent back. At least my mom's pasta dish was good. This also begs an important question - why isn't the mushroom risotto an entree dish? It's by far and away the better of the two! Kinda disappointing to see how this place compares now to 8-10 years ago. I hope the owners are able to revive the restaurant and re-conceptualize dishes. read more

The restaurant is in a nondescript strip center. The plain exterior is not indicative of the nice interior. White tablecloths and servers in black & white. Lots of space between the tables. The kitchen is open. The restaurant is very loud. For not much money they could install some sound proofing fabric and it would take the ambiance to the next level. The food was good. Delicious homemade bread with butter and fresh olive oil w sweet balsamic vinegar. I had the G Margherita pizza crust was nicely baked - not too dark which is how I prefer. A little chewy w nice salty flavor. The sauce is very thinly applied such that it soaks into the crust. Nice amount of cheese. Could use a bit more fresh basil - only had 1-2 pieces per slice. My dining partner had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo which isn't as creamy as you might expect but it was delicious. Our server wasn't very attentive and we waited for a long time for a requested beverage refill. Other times she talked to us over her back as she scurried to get other duties. But the manager also visited our table to ask if we were enjoying our meals. Always a nice touch. read more

We took our 96 year old mom for her birthday. It was a Tuesday night in November and we were expecting a quiet dinner. When we pulled into the lot, the place was hopping ! We learned that it was Wine Tuesday, Where the restaurant offers bottles Of wine at retail prices and even will seal it up for you to take any leftover home. Our dinners were great, steaks and a pasta and shrimp dish for the birthday girl. I definitely would come Back- and the wine night is a great idea too! read more

This was our first visit and our last. The waitress was very pleasant. We were given a drink menu and noticed that the wine was sold by the bottle. I only wanted a glass of wine. Everything I asked for was not available by the glass. I was able to get a rose after our waitress had to check with management. For our entre - we chose a chicken dish with risotto - single breast. For two breasts the price was $30. Our side salad was +$5 and we each chose a sweet potato (half only) for +$4. The chicken and risotto was very tasty but the sweet potato (half) was approximately 3" x 3" in diameter. I've never seen such a small sweet potato (half for $4) served in a restaurant. Our reservation was at 4:30pm. The menu indicated that happy hour was from 4-5:30. Yet our bill did not reflect that for our drinks - my husband purchased two beers and I had a 9 oz glass of wine. The waitress said that you had to be at the "bar" in order to get the happy hour prices! WOW - really??? Needless to say, we will not be back. read more

PROS: This place was amazing! They were semi fancy and even had a sports bar attached to them. They served fresh food along with brick oven pizza. Their staff was very nice including our waitress Ellen. The food tasted great and came out timely. Unlike many places this place was not understaffed. My wife and I have been customers of 91 since its inception. The staff has always been terrific. That's always been one of the reasons we continue to support this restaurant. The last time we were there we were very disappointed in the new menu. Many of or favorites (stuffed peppers, meatballs etc. are no longer on the menu. I understand it's great to change it up but many you need to ask your customers what they would like to stay on the menu. We will continue to support 91 but are disappointed that we can't order the wonderful dishes they used to have. This is a very nice restaurant and staff has been very friendly. It's more upscale, but it's not to over the top where you can't bring a child. They are also offering to-go and curbside right now during the pandemic. I've been on the hunt for a really good risotto. I hadn't had much luck finding this anywhere near me, but this restaurant has multiple different types of it, so we thought we would give it a try. The risotto here isn't to bad. I had just gotten plain risotto as a side with some of their wood-fired pizza. Their pizza was pretty tasty. We tried the BBQ chicken and the pepperoni. I also had tried their wedge salad and I was very disappointment with that as most of the toppings didn't come right on it. We would still eat here again, but I do enjoy the ability to do curbside and will most likely do it that way. read more

Absolutely wowed! Our server, Amanda was so incredible. She knew the menu so well, made excellent suggestions, and gave us so much fantastic information about the restaurant. She's a fantastic example of what good service looks like. We came here for a date night and we weren't sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. We started with the spinach artichoke dip and it was amazing. The bread and oil that comes with dinner was also fantastic. I ordered the loaded sirloin and got the creamed corn and mashed potatoes, my husband ordered the chicken Marsala, and started with the blue cheese wedge salad. We then ordered the s'mores dessert to share. The food was outstanding and worth raving over. The atmosphere of the restaurant was perfect for a date night. It was casual but intimate, with people wearing jeans, T-shirt's, dress pants, and dresses. If you're comfortable, it's appropriate at 91. Prefacing my comment by saying I have eaten here 40 - 50 times in the last 15 years. If you go in to eat things are fine, but not what they were years ago. Portions appear to have gotten smaller and nothing is a memorable any longer. As of late we have done more take away from here and each time it's slower and slower. We show up when told to and continue to wait 20-30 minutes in the car before anything comes out. Every time when you arrive home the food is not anywhere close to the money you're paying for it... Hot food is typically cold, things are forgotten (no bread with salad) and it just feel thrown together in haste and looks like a laundry basket. I can't figure out why there is such a disconnect, but...my advice would be if you can't accommodate carry out, stop offering it and focus on more memorable times inside. Probably down to one more trip in 2023 for old times sake and then bid this place adieu. read more

The food was very good. I had only been here once before, and it was my idea to go back. The service was good; our server was very conscientious. My beef is the OUTRAGEOUS cost for a good dish. It wasn't stellar. It wasn't Michelin Star quality. It was very good. But the "special" which the server did an excellent job of describing was NOT worth $48. Not even surf and turf is $48. This is absurd. Yes, I added artichokes. And yes I substituted the potatoes for risotto. Those two things should be what, $6-$8 upcharge? It's not itemized, so I'll never know. But $48 for a "special"????? I will NOT be going back. Sorry. Maybe my loss. But more likely yours, because if it was anywhere in the vicinity of "reasonable" I'd have come back multiple times over.
