My husband and I visit VG a lot and the only disappointing thing to note is that we just recently discovered this restaurant. If you're looking for quality Italian food and excellent service, look no further; Brio Italian Grille in Rancho has you covered. We had our first visit to this establishment a few weeks ago and had a 5-star experience from the second we stepped inside to the moment we left. The staff from the hostess stand to our server were great. Service was friendly, patient, and attentive. The food was nothing short of amazing. As first time diners, we trusted many of our server's recommendations and she did not steer us wrong. Our order consisted of: - Shrimp & Eggplant appetizer - Margherita Neopolitan Pizza - Spicy Radiatori & Burrata Handmade Pasta - a side of the Gnocchi Formaggio - kids' Chicken Alfredo Everything was perfection. The sauce on the Shrimp & Eggplant appetizer was divine and probably the most memorable of the whole meal. We wanted to dip everything in it! The pizza was cooked great. The Spicy Radiatori & Burrata Pasta was a showstopper for my husband. The side dish of the Gnocchi Formaggio was the perfect portion for one person. The kids' Chicken Alfredo was also a generous (and delicious) portion for our toddler. My husband is extremely picky about Italian food and it exceeded any other place we have tried in the area. Although this was our first visit, it definitely will not be our last. There are so many other items we are excited to try from their menu, we cannot wait to return. If you're reading this and on the fence about checking this place out, take the chance and go. You won't regret it.

The mortadella app was interesting. For one, the mortadella was sliced thicker than I prefer - though it advertised as thinly sliced - and the fritters were not fritter-ing. If a dish could taste flat, this one did. I was also surprised with the calamari because it was very mild and plain. It lacked flavor and no amount of sauce could save it. I felt like there were a lot of misfires throughout the meal. -the vodka pasta ($18) swam in a lot of sauce. It was so watery and lacked flavor. -rib-eye ($48) was under-presented on a plain ole white plate. And it was very much under seasoned. The best dish of the evening was the wood oven short rib ($35). It's a braised short rib with mashed potatoes, charred spinach, spicy roasted carrots, horseradish cream + ajus. The meat was so tender and flavorful, but honestly, what had me was the charred spinach - they were delightfully crispy. I liked it a lot. A few of the things we ordered were no longer offered on the menu which I thought was strange going into a busy weekend without an updated menu. There were some good eats, but lots of mid things and not worth the money. Despite my own personal preferences, I think Biest is worth a try if you need a cutesy restaurant in the area.

They had even emptied the lobby waiting area TWICE before we were seated (these groups came and checked in after us. not sure when their reservations were) I want to be understanding as it's World Cup season rn, but why did we make a reservation if we were gonna have to wait a half hour anyways LOL They gave us two complimentary bread, unsure if that was due to the holiday, wait, or our party size? My dad got the clam sauce, my mom and brother had the garlic shrimp fettuccine, my sister stuck to her usual fettuccine alfredo, and I tried the manager's special with marinara and alfredo! Not sure if the veggies were blended but I didn't get a single of ANY carrots nor onions in my sauce? And my parents said the shrimp alfredo was too salty, whereas the clam sauce was slightly bland Alex was our server, he was wonderful! He acknowledged us immediately as we sat down (he was rushing to a diff table first), then greeted us the next time he came back to take our orders! Always had a smile as he approached our table. Checked on us multiple times. Even notified us that our food was almost out but they were a little busy in the kitchen (we were completely aware and fine with it!)

We always order the giant pizza, and until recently we've never had an issue. The food and service have always been great. The last time we ordered takeout was on a busy game night. We placed our order well in advance because we knew it would be busy. Before leaving, I noticed the pizza was overcooked and burnt on the bottom. I'm not someone who usually complains, but this one was way too overdone to ignore. Since the restaurant was packed, waiting for a remake would have taken much longer than we had planned for. The manager apologized and initially offered me a discount that day. He then asked if I'd be willing to use the discount on a future order instead, and I agreed. Today we came back to use that discount. The manager ultimately honored it within the 90-day window, but the interaction felt much more uncomfortable than it needed to be. It seemed like redeeming the discount was an inconvenience, even though it had been offered because of the issue with our previous order. The receipt also stated "20% off order," but the discount was only applied to the pizza. We genuinely love this place and will continue coming back because the food is usually excellent. This review isn't about the burnt pizza that can happen on a busy night. It's about how the follow-up was handled. A simple effort to make things right shouldn't leave a customer feeling uncomfortable. It also would have been helpful if it had been explained when the discount was originally offered that it was only valid for two weeks and only for the exact same order. I should've just accepted the discount that day.

The owner/manager (wore glasses but no name tag) was nice, but after suggesting I try a pizza I've never had, I suggested they provide samples. She replied saying there wasn't enough traffic to justify samples. Anyway, after a long wait, and being subjected to commercialized Indian music blaring out of a TV, I was excited to taste why this place has a 4.7 rating. I was sadly disappointed with a pizza covered in frozen cubed chicken that tastes like it should be in a school cafeteria. I love Indian culture and people, but this place is doing their culture a disservice. On second thought, maybe samples would hurt business. Lastly, the place was not clean and lacked any kind of welcoming atmosphere.
