Don't trust they'll will get over on you idk if it's new mangament but this place is a scam shack once you pay your money which is upfront they get you I swear I'm currently going on months without my order no date on when itll arrived and no money back just empty promise Hasn't been a good experience so far. I do alot of business with different companies throughout the mid-south and by far this was the worse encounter. I went to this store after leaving another shop a couple of blocks down who informed me that the radio i was looking for could take up to two months to order. i told them nah i sale cars didnt want to wait that long because i already had potential buyers was just trying to add quick mods for profit gain. They even advised me to order it myself could cut time and they'd work with me on labor i mean i actually recommend them they operated more honestly. So the guy said you can try 901 sounds they might be able to do it or just check around first before you spend your money. Fast forward i go to audio sound just checking it out i meet kevin. He goes to say he can get the radio 2-3 weeks he has a relationship with the company if it gets to far ill give your money back which were all false. They charged me 1300 almost 2 months ago i still haven't got a date a radio literally nothing today is the day he said he'd give me my money back if it doesn't come. i hit them up this morning he said they just open so hell keep me updated. again i order this 2 month ago and i have to call them to check on it. Even when he called the manufacturer they act like they didn't even know what he was talking about who he was lol i mean it was terrible business not even trying to talk bad about them but this is literally just what happen. DO NOT COME HERE!!! They will try to get over on you if they can. If you bringing in equipment for them to install. Record your equipment first like I did before taking it up there. Brand new radio and inverter and use amp. They hook up my amp wrong and said "your amp doesn't work but we can put a new one in for $350". I was highly piss off. I told them dont touch it. Great Subwoofers, Fixed my LED lighting instead my car without me asking or charging. The negatives, They can give off rude vibes when asking for help. I got subs installed in 2020 and have had two cheap melted fuse parts since that they installed, so i'm on my third fuse. One major problem i had that rubbed me wrong was that, i had a very important keychain hooked on my keys that I gave them so that they could work on my subs... I had someone pick up for my car for me since I was at work. They broke it off... and didn't mention anything about it when they handed it to who was picking up my car. This shop is very slow, could not get a straight answer of how long to replace speakers due to sounding blown. Told they could do it it but the car did not go into the shop until after 3:00 Pm. Got here at 9:00 am all day just to replace a set of speakers. I would not recommend coming here to get speakers done. read more

On 5/9/2017 I made the mistake and took my truck to 901 Sounds located at 2235 Covington Pike to have my two front windows tinted. I couldn't let the windows down for three to five days so I parked the truck till Sunday. After inspecting the windows I found light gaps on both windows, bubbles, trash between film and my windows had cuts in them. I paid almost hundred dollars to have two windows tinted, I could have done a better job. UPDATE: Returned 5/15/2017 to 901 Sound explained my problem; truck was checked in; as I was leaving another person who seem to have an attitude problem barked out that they didn't have a tech there to do tint and I would have to come back another day. As you can see; 901 Sound (Moe) comments below is a lot of hype; clever marketing strategy. Another Day Lost!! Returned truck to 901 Sounds 5/16/2017 at 9:15 with no other customer insight; call back at 1:pm and was told there was two others in front of mines; ok here's where the run around started. Call back at 3:45 and was told they had just started to take off the old film, asked to speak with manager and was told they were just about to put the new tent on; which is the truth. Why can't we do the job right the first time; six and a half hours and still waiting? Someone was too busy stealing from my storage compartment to get all the bubbles out the tent, be sure to remove all valuables and auto registration with your address from your auto. read more

I can't comment truly on the quality as of yet as it's a new tint job 06/23/12 but from the looks of it I'd say the quality of the work is good! I'm here to comment more so about the horrid service from this place. First...DO NOT....DO NOT take the word of the salesman period in regards to the estimated wait time or what position you are in line. IF you are going to deal with these guys then do appointment only (even then I don't know how well things will go for you)! I can only speak about their tint service and not their audio/video installation services. Unfortunately I didn't find out til the end of the day that they only had ONE tint specialist working all the cars that came in today (WTF???)! The problem I have is that I was informed first over the phone that my wait time would be two hours...when I got to the shop I again was informed that I only had one car ahead of me so the time would be two hours. Somehow between then and coming back I was told that there was yet another car ahead of me. Then it became, "sorry man we are backed up bad today"! In the end the TRUTH was I was the LAST car to be done for that day getting me out of there at 8pm when I dropped my car off to them at 3PM I understand needing to make sales....badly lying to make that sale...shame on you. There WON'T be a second time (shame on me) I'll take my money elsewhere! First impressions are a lasting one. In July 2022, I visited this place and placed an order for 4 car rims and paid in full. A few days later we were notified that the rims were discontinued. Eric sent pictures of other rims but we did not like anything else they offered. I talked to Eric several times about the issue and he said management would contact us. No answer as of today. I've contacted my lawyer to handle the issue since I went back to the business and talked to Kevin in management and he still has not handled the issue. I submitted my complaint to BBB and Fox13 investigators also. You have been forewarned: no customer service, poor business practices. Stay away! Eric Dooley was more interested in selling his side business (custom detailing) than handling the issue with the car rims we paid for. Never again will I go to this business! BEWARE!!! I took my BRAND NEW 2015 Corolla to 901 sounds last week to get my windows tinted. I decided to get 15% tint thinking that it would look good with my white car. The tint looked very good but it was entirely too dark. When I drove at night I could not see out my windows at all. So I decided to get my car redone with 35% (legal) tint. The first tint job was done very well but it was too dark. Here's where my experience took a DRASTIC turn for the worse. I took my car to 901 Sounds at 9am in Friday. I was told that there were 3 cars ahead of me. I waited there for hours. At 3 pm I ended up leaving and coming back at 7pm. My car was obviously the last car because it was there till almost closing time. When I inspected my car, the employee showed me HUGE streak spots on the interior door panels on all four doors. He said he used soap and water to clean my doors but it dried and left blue streaks in my black interior. There were also dirt spots on the ceiling from where he installed the rear view window tint. I was very upset because it looked horrible. Then I noticed that TWO of my windows had DEEP scratches in them. Not only that but the tint had scratches in all four windows. I was very upset because I had only had the car one day and 901 Sounds ruined it. Then one of the young Hispanic employees was very rude and nonchalant stating that my windows were probably already scratched. I wanted to talk to a manager so Sharif Ayesh came to see all the damage. He agreed to have my car detailed on Monday. So I took it Monday to get it detailed. They cleaned up the doors ok but the ceiling was still dirty. Sharif also agreed to replace the ONE window with the deeper scratch. The other window had a surface scratch but it's not really noticeable. It just makes me mad because it was a brand new car. I negotiated with Sharif and he refunded me $218 the cost of the tint job but not the $100 cost to remove the first, darker tint. I do NOT recommend getting your car tinted here. The one tint guy they have rushed to get my car done and made numerous mistakes and damaged my car. The ONLY reason I give this place one star is because of the professionalism of the manager Sharif when he handled the problem. Although I am still upset that Sharif did not replace BOTH scratched windows. I feel that his business damaged my car so the business should have fixed BOTH windows. The only reason I did not press the issue further was that I wanted to be done with this "business establishment" and I wanted to avoid the process of lawsuit because Sharif was so professional and I wanted to expedite the process of getting my car fixed. I was at 901 Sounds for hours and no rental car was offered to me as I waited for them to fix THEIR mistakes. I would avoid this place at all costs. Find a professional business to get your windows tinted. Their better business bureau license was revoked but I should have checked it beforehand. That's my mistake but please do not make my same mistake. read more

There were issues at first, the details of which aren't important and the resolution isn't really either, but after an upset on my first attempt at getting my tint done (NOT with the quality, however) they immediately made it right for me without me having to ask. **PLS READ** The reason why I'm giving this shop two stars is because of customer service. I brought my brand new car to get window tinted all around including the front windshield and my calipers painted. When I picked up my car seems like the work was good but they forgot to do the front windshield tint which I had already paid for. I came by yesterday and was told to just bring it today this morning and they will knock it out and it only takes about 15 to 30 minutes. Well I came in an hour after they open today and they said that it's not going to be done until later on in the day because they have jobs lined up. If I was the store owner or manager and my crew did not do the job that they should have done I would give that particular customer 150% to correct the deficiency they made. That's just business 101. Mind you this is only a 15-minute to 20-minute job and yet they want a customer to wait an entire day just to get that job done when they should have already done that the first time. I wouldn't write this review just because they forgot to do their job correctly the first time, it's the customer service after the fact. It's NOT about the money but it's the principle of your words. I am a service member and when you say something you will do, you do it. Now your credibility is questioned. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I had researched and checked for over 2 years on fixing my 2004 Honda Accord radio. Every place, big or small, said it was going to be very expensive because the radio setup also controlled the heating and air. I was happened to be going somewhere else on Covington Pike and saw a store named 901 Sounds so I thought I'd just stop in. To my surprise, they looked up my car and gave me TWO solutions! I was elated since I don't know anything about cars and had every other store tell me there was no easy fix. Both solutions were clearly explained, priced, and printed out for me. The manager/owner even came by to check on what had been recommended. He even agreed with the salesman's suggestion to get the $30 solution instead of the $300 more cosmetic solution!!! I searched for a week for a place to tint our new car and decided to go with 901 Sounds because of their mostly good reviews on Google. Terrible decision. After I called and got a quote over the phone, my husband (Jason) went to their shop on 3/14/14 to put down a deposit. He told them what kind of car and what year it was and the manager even went out and looked at the car. He was then given his quote of $286.78 (including tax and shop fee) printed out and he put down his $40 deposit which made his balance come to $246.78. He scheduled his appointment for 1pm on 3/15/14 and was told it would take less than 2 hours. Jason got to his appointment at 12:30pm and didn't leave until 5pm. He was told that the tint tech didn't realize that his car had an appointment so it was skipped a few times. Jason said the manager was really nice and told him that he would do the windshield strip ($25) for FREE. He even told my husband to go into the shop to see that his car was being worked on (this was around 4pm). Jason said the tint tech was extremely rude and pretty much told him to go away. After the car was finished and it was time to pay, the manager printed up another invoice with the total due being $315.46. Jason asked about the difference and was told he charged him for the extra windows that his car has. This seemed odd to me considering the manager looked at the car the day before and didn't charge him for extra windows then. My husband is extremely passive and was ready to get the hell out of there so he paid the $275.46 (balance after deposit). All in all, the quality of the tint job was OK. There is a scratch on one of the windows, but Jason doesn't feel like sitting there for another 4.5 hours for it to be fixed. We were charged $28.68 MORE than originally quoted, so we didn't get anything free like the manager said. We will definitely find someone different to install our remote start and tint our other car. read more

I will never do business with 901 sounds again. I went in and talk to a sales person about upgrading my car stereo and was shown a radio and speakers. I ask for a quote and was given a list of items to be installed, but no model numbers were given. This is where the problem comes in. I returned the next day and spoke with the same sales person and agreed on a set price for the items that we discussed the prior day. In about 3 hours of waiting the sales person came to me and said it would be more than the agreed upon price, by a few hundred bucks. Reluctantly I agreed to pay a little more, but not what he ask for. I was at the shop for about 7 hours, by which I was told the day before that it would take only about 2-3 hours. I requested the boxes from the install and when I got home, I discovered that I was give cheaper model speakers, which put out less watts than what we had discussed. My system does sound better than my stock speakers, but I feel like I got played. When you discuss a certain product and agree on a price, you should stick to that and not screw the customer. I will never do business with them, but if you plan on getting work done, make sure you have all the model numbers on the quote prior to agreeing on a price. Last but not least, the quote on all the parts where inflated compared to internet pricing. I should have purchased all the parts and then bought it in for the install. Lessons learned. read more

I came here a few months ago to check out having a TV/DVD installed into my vehicle. Mo was very helpful and answered all of my questions. I returned the next week to have it installed. I waited for a long time but I expected to. There was an error in the installation process, a special part that my vehicle needed to complete installation was not in stock. I had to come back 2 days later. That was a little irritating. So far the TV/DVD has been perfect. My kids love it! They think we have the coolest vehicle in the world. Besides driving there a second time to complete installation, the only other thing I didn't care for was for the price I expected to have a more common, or well known brand, instead I got a tv brand I never heard of before.
