I've been coming here since I moved to Lake Mary in 2016 so when I relocated to Winter Springs I'd still make the drive because I was always impressed. Unfortunately, this has changed due to my last two experiences. My mom lives in Volusia county and has never had luck finding a good nail salon so she took the drive down here to go with me. Her nail tech Annie did an amazing job. Annie is my absolute favorite for a mani/pedi. I decided to treat myself to the hot stone pedicure. A middle aged gentleman was the one who did it. First he didn't let the rocks cool off enough. They were so hot I jumped at one point and let out a little scream which made Bobby look over, but he said nothing. Of course, I told him they were too hot and he proceeded to tell me it was burning his hands too. The lady next to him laughed and said he's just joking (he wasn't). He also didn't know how to properly massage my legs with the hot stone as the same lady had to show him. I always speak up, but this time since it was my mom's first time and she was raving about Annie I paid for the hot stone even though it was miserable. The next time I made an appointment I called and spoke to Bobby. I requested Annie and another gentleman (can't remember his name), but he's great too. He's a younger guy. Bobby told me Annie was on maternity leave and the guy was out of town. I proceeded to tell him about my last experience and that I didn't want that guy. He said yes, I think I remember what happened and assured me I wouldn't. So we show up and Annie is their. She ended up taking me and my mom got another lady who I've had before and is too rough. Looking back, I should've switched with my mom. Annie did an amazing job, but my mom's tech was once again too rough. My mom got a gel manicure and a regular pedi polish. When I get gel mani and regular polish pedi I always pick out the color and they match it to my toes, which my mom also did. My mom, who traveled 45mins each way noticed her nails and toes were two different colors when she got home! Her nails were red and her toes were maroon. We were leaving the following morning on a cruise (this was in January before the pandemic lockdown), so she had no time to drive 45mins each way to get them fixed. I'm highly disappointed that the salon I've been loyal to for 4 years has gone down hill. The only reason my rating isn't lower is due to the great job they've done in the past. Had it been based on my last two experiences, I'd give 1 star. I've found a new spot in Winter Park who did a great job and I'll be switching nail salons. read more

I also would like to add , it's a real big red flag when the nail tech says she can't do a design, cannot see the uneven apex of the nail, nor the curve on the top of the mail that came out of no shape I asked for. Totally bent off to the right , I had to question if they really couldn't see it. Proceeded to use the file myself to show where it needs to be in unison with the rest of the nails. The great plus was the owner I am assuming was very up beat even though they charged me 40 extra dollars for acrylic "medium" - actual length was short - chromed nails. read more

Needed a pedicure for my vacation. Saw this place on yelp had great reviews. Stopped in, without an appointment, on a Wednesday morning. I came at the right time. Appointments started pouring in around 1. The place was packed. I was able to get in without waiting. I ended up having both a manicure and a pedicure, with gel. Because my nails didn't have anything on them already, the total cost was $66 before tip. I'm not sure who took care of me, but it was a middle-aged Vietnamese man. He did a nice job. He didn't hurt me. And he used clean tools. The pedicure chair was standard- it reclines and massages. They offered me a drink, which I declined, is because I had brought one with me. All in all, I was in and out of there in about 90 minutes. I enjoyed the foot and hand massage. I would come back here again. read more

I am never disappointed when I leave 9 Nails and I have been coming here since 2018. Furthermore, customer service is wonderful. Whenever I have a chipped or broken nail, Bobby will offer to fix for free. My nails were $49 (with tip and student discount) for gel acrylics. read more

Be aware! I had service done, they told me the total was going to be $36. When I get home I see a $60 charge on my cc!! Obviously I called, they did not want to refund me! I couldn't dispute the charge because I didn't get a receipt, so I would def advise to get a receipt when you charge on a cc! Also my gel nail polish started chipping within a week, they did fix that when I went back in to try to get my money back, but did a very fast and sloppy job... oh btw they gave me a $10 voucher, I guess I supposed to be happy with that?! Went here for years spent alot of money before covid I ended up moving still drove hour missed one apt through that I was in the hospital. I have been coming here for years now. I love this place. Bobby is the owner and is accommodating and very very nice. If your on a time crunch that's not a problem here! They will get you in and out if needed. The salon is extremely clean and there is no harsh acetone smell when you come here compared to other salons. If your looking for a place to get acrylics that aren't thick, you NEED to come here. My nails are always exactly how I want them. This place even offers a 10% student discount! ! Well... all those negative reviews are true. I stopped in for a regular manicure and it was done so poorly. The nail polish was old so it creased and was painted on unevenly. I asked multiple times for it to be fixed, but it only got worse. The technician only painted half of the nail on most of the nails and when I asked her to fix them she just painted a line over the blank part leaning the nails totally uneven. Me and my mom went to 9 nails & had made an appointment for this in advance. We had to wait for 20 minutes even though we had scheduled an appointment. My mom got a manicure and pedicure and i got my nails with acrylics. the salon was busy so she had 2 nail techs working on her at the same time in order for them to accommodate their other clients. Both techs rushed through the job & the nail tech spilled the bowl water in my mom's lap. it was a totally unenjoyable. experience. I got acrylic nails put on by bobby. He was rushing and rushing and when i asked him to make my nails shorter he said to me "what's with the attitude?". I don't understand how asking to trim my nails was rude? After reading the reviews I decided to give them a try. I am very picking with my nails and I have to share Ally did a GREAT job. I originally wanted Bobby to do my nails as he is mentioned everywhere but couldn't make the time and he said his sister was even better so I said hmmm OKAY! And not disappointed. I've been to this place twice , and I've really enjoyed the services! It's clean , quite , and the massage chairs are pretty comfy. I really enjoy the deluxe package it's worth the price. When I first sat down the gentleman told me that I would have two people working on me but I only had two people working on me for about five minutes. Amazing job! I got my nails done the day before I went to work. I worked a double 11:30am-10:30pm and they didn't even mess up at all. I also worked from 4pm-10:30pm and they looked like I just got them done. They even gave me a 10% discount because I am still in school! Definitely coming back. I went to 9 nails exactly one weeks ago for my dip powder to be redo. I made an appointment with Bobby since he had the best reviews. He's super nice. However, less than one hour after I had my dip powder done, my pointer finger on my left hand already had broken. I went back and he had someone else fix it. It is so uneven with the rest of them. At first I was alright with it because he didn't charge me to fix the one that broke. Fast forward to less than one week and 5 of my nails are broken, my right thumb is cracked, and my left thumb has completely broken off. I am so disappointed. $40 + tip only to have to go back one hour to have someone else fix it and have the majority of my nails ruined. Unfortunately I will not be returning to 9 nails. read more

Although when I went it was pretty busy I had an appointment so I was taken right on time. Make sure you have an appointment when you go and get there on time! Great nail salon in Lake Mary. They do a great job with your nails, but the main reason why I love this place is that its very relaxing. Nobody talks to you (not that I am antisocial or anything lol but I just want to relax), its quiet, they put the TV at a low volume, the chairs give massages (not the best massages but they are very comfortable at least), and most importantly the staff is quiet, they are not talking and joking between each other, they are not eating their lunch in front of you, they are not receiving calls or texting, they just work and are very polite.
