This is, without question, the worst experience I've ever had with a repair business…read more I brought my Canon PowerShot in because the lens wasn't closing completely. The camera still worked perfectly otherwise. Instead of giving me a quote while I was there, they had me wait a day, only to come back with an estimate of nearly $300 for a camera that originally cost around $500. I declined the repair and picked up my camera. When I got home and tried to use it, the camera no longer worked properly. The flash wouldn't function, it wouldn't focus, and it became completely unusable. When I went back to the shop, the owner was incredibly rude and took no responsibility. He told me they "only looked at the camera" and didn't bother checking whether it actually worked before returning it to me. He also refused to stand behind their work in any way, saying there was no warranty, and claimed it would now cost over $400 to fix. I brought them a camera with a lens issue that was still functional. I left with a camera that no longer works at all. My PowerShot had lasted only a year and a month, and I truly regret ever bringing it here. I'm now out a camera, and the complete lack of accountability made an already frustrating situation even worse. I would never recommend this business. So corrupt.

He did mention different countries' passport photos cost varies, so let him know first where is your picture for. He prints them out immediately, the whole process only took about 10 minutes. The studio was a little tricky to find because it does not have any outward signage, and parking is limited, but, once I was inside, the experience could not have been easier! A Studio Pod employee walked me through how to use the self-service machine and then she made herself scare to allow for my privacy. From my understanding, the Studio Pod on Blossom is the only one in Houston where you have the option to get a quick tutorial from an employee before beginning. The photo taking process was very easy. The photo pod offered several different kinds of lighting and even ran through a posing guide. Once you clicked the photo button, it started a 5 second countdown. Placed in front of you, is a digital screen that allows you to see how the picture will turn out. Not happy with the end result? Studio Pod offers 5 free retakes. I didn't opt for any retouching but this is also an option available for purchase at booking. The whole process took less than 15 min, and I left with a link to the digital files. I got 15 high quality headshots for ~$50 - a steal! Something else that I found noteworthy is that I had to reschedule my appointment because...life! But, Studio Pod allows you to reschedule for free. Well I received several recommendations but none just wow'd me and I figured I should search Yelp duh why wouldn't a Yelp Elite come to Yelp 1st right?? Well because sometimes my fellow Yelpers are foodies and we review what we do most so I checked for local photographer and came across this hidden gem (ok hidden to me) but it's no secret to Friendswood and I'm excited to say I'm looking forward to my daughters session; from the few pics on Yelp to their Instagram I knew I wanted to have her session done by this genius!!! We have gone to the consultation and my quiet daughter was open and speaking with Mr David like she's known him so I know they will have a great session!! So looking forward to June!!! With their good recommendation, I decided to use DC Stanley as our wedding photographer. My advice to anyone who is looking for a photographer is to make sure to have a comfortable relationship with good rapport. David (DC Stanley) is very relatable and laid back. Positives: -Price. I think he hits the right price point for me. He has great packages that usually include prints, DVD for the wedding pictures, wedding book and engagement, bridal and wedding sessions. -Quality. The quality of his work is very good. He knows his way around a camera or two! I would go on his website to look at his work. -Misc. They will design invitations, save the dates, etc. I did not use their services for these, but I was aware they do have this available to you. -This is a family business. His wife, "V", does a lot of the business side and she is very responsive to all e-mails and phone calls. His studio is pretty cool. Negatives: -His studio is in Friendswood, so not easy access to everyone in Houston. Although, they are very accommodating when trying to set up a meeting (on Sundays, etc) Overall, he is a great guy and a great photographer!
