In this case, getting the opportunity to tour a…read morehigh-rise luxury apartment in one of America's finest cities was an absolute honor and privilege. Since my lady works in the property management field, we were given a full-on tour of "Vision on Wilshire" thanks to the folks at UDR Apartments who made this all possible. Located directly on the corner of Wilshire Blvd. and S. Crescent Heights Blvd. in the Beverly Grove neighborhood of Los Angeles, "Vision on Wilshire" opened its doors during the spring of 2018. We ended up meeting with Olga, the Assistant Community Director of this property. The lobby itself looked more like a luxury hotel than an actual apartment. This is the floor that includes a 24-hour concierge, espresso bar (with a high-end Nespresso machine), and the offices where the managers conduct business. I will have to say that this place sells itself. It is absolutely phenomenal and the amenities are bar none some of the best I've ever seen in my life. This includes a full-on clubhouse, conference rooms, fitness center (with state-of-the-art gym equipment), a massage table, electric car charging stations, and lower garage parking. Additionally, this is a pet friendly community that allows cats and most dog breeds. You also have the option of renting a furnished or unfurnished apartment home. What really sets Vision on Wilshire away from its competition is their dynamic rooftop pool. Olga mentioned to us that this is one of only a couple high rise apartments in all of Los Angeles that offers a rooftop pool. And even better is that this is offered 24 hours a day! Residents also gain full access to a jacuzzi, private cabanas, and even gas grills for cooking your meals on the roof. As far as the apartments itself, every apartment home is prewired with high speed internet. You also receive a top-of-the-line gas range, quartz countertops, full-size stackable washer/dryer, glass backsplash, hardwood floors, a walk-in closet, USB outlets (for your phone, tablet, laptop), keyless entry, Bluetooth enabled thermostat, and even a wine cooler! Oh, and did I mention that you get a patio/balcony with some of the most amazing views of the Hollywood Hills? The lease terms are very flexible as you can lease from a little as one month or as much as one year. As far as the prices, studios start at $3200, 1-bedrooms from $4,300/mo, 2-bedrooms from $6,700/mo, and 3-bedrooms/penthouses that range from $8,000-$12,000/mo. These prices change dramatically depending on the housing market. Do keep in mind that the deposits range from $500-$2500, pet rent is $75/mo, and parking in the underground structure ranges from $250-$400/mo. If much of what I mentioned fits your needs and budget, I would definitely recommend checking "Vision on Wilshire" out. It screams luxury all over it and is in my humble opinion, one of (if not) the finest high-rise apartments I have ever stepped into. LA has thousands of options when it comes to housing; this to me ranks as one of the best. My rating based on the service and entire experience from visiting here, a perfect five stars.

My garbage disposal had to be fixed every other month. Their own maintenance man even told me "the other side of the building has a lot of leaking pipe issues". After all that, they tried to charge me $500 for routine painting and carpet cleaning upon moving out. There's nothing luxurious about tile floors in the hallways and cheap hollow entry doors - I can hear every footstep and person talking and noise from other units. Next, home and comfort, implies peace and relaxation: these seem to be horribly deficient units that have paper thin ceilings and walls. I can hear every footstep of the person above me, when they sit on their couch, when they go to the bathroom. I can hear every conversation through the wall of my neighbor next door. Every person I have talked to in this building has the same exact complaint as me. The units "look nice" and the lobby "looks nice" but the internal engine or structure of this place seems to be sub-par. Again, the cheap tile floors along with the HOLLOW apartment entry doors, seem to make this more of a dormitory than luxury apartment complex.

If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would…read more This has been the most despicable, unprofessional, and dangerous apartment experience I've ever had in my life. Management at Burton Way Luxury Apartments gave a key to my unit to my stalker -- yes, you read that right. My stalker created a fake email pretending to be me, told the office that a "friend" would be picking up a key, and they actually handed it over to him. This was after I had already given the management team written and verbal instructions not to respond to anyone using that email or any other number but mine. As a result, my home was broken into, thousands of dollars worth of belongings were stolen, and I was left feeling completely unsafe in my own apartment. On top of that, the building is infested with roaches. They're all over the property and eventually made their way into my unit. I complained about this repeatedly. Every time, management said they had "treated it," but nothing ever changed. The problem clearly runs deep in this building, and they simply refuse to take it seriously. And if all that wasn't enough, after everything I'd already been through, a new employee started working for the management company and -- unbelievably -- called my stalker directly, thinking it was me. This is after months of me explaining the severity of my situation and begging management not to make that exact mistake. It's beyond careless -- it's dangerous. For the amount of money they charge to live here, tenants deserve safety, professionalism, and basic human respect. Instead, what you'll get is a roach-infested building run by people who clearly don't care about their residents or their safety. There are plenty of great places on Burton Way, even older buildings that are managed far better than this so-called "luxury" complex. Do yourself a favor and stay far away. Unless you want to deal with stalkers, roaches, and management that puts you at risk -- this is not the place for you. This building is a complete disgrace, and the word luxury should be removed from its name entirely.

But it really is that great. Of course, I'm not saying this building is perfect. Like other buildings, problems do arise here an there, and you encounter the same issues as you would in any communal living setting. But unlike other places, the management actually deal with the problems as they arise, within reason, and they don't try to pull the wool over your eyes. In addition, the sense of community here is great. Liz and everyone else that work here are so friendly, I genuinely love going to check the mail or pick up a package, because we usually chat for a few minutes. They truly care about the building residents! I think this situation is really rare in a big city. The cherry on top of it all is when I signed the agreement and was lead to my apartment, I had mentioned that I was new to the city and did not know anyone. That's when Liz encouraged me to join her and some of our neighbors for a hike. I took her up on her offer and drove to Runyon Canyon Park (which is only minutes away). The hours flew by as I got to know some of my neighbors/co-adventurers. The other day a friend who used to live in LA but currently does not was passing through town, and I offered him a place to stay--I love having friends over because for the first time in years I have a place that's big enough to have guests. When I told him the address, he revealed that he had actually lived in this building when he first moved to LA! When I asked him how it compared to the other places he'd lived around town, he said this was actually his favorite, in part because it was the biggest studio apartment he ever had. So there you have it! You really can't go wrong with this place. I plan to stay at The Lofts on La Brea for the foreseeable future.
