We popped in for an after-party drink (pr several) and a bite and were pleasantly treated to those and more. The bartender (and manager along side) was quick to greet, take orders, and serve and was also good to chat for a bit. They'll make you anything you want and all the drinks were tasty. The menu looked enticing and I can never resist wings washed down with draft beer - both really hit the spot. A friend decided upon one (of several) of their jambalaya and WOW was it delicious! In fact, I would to return just for it! The vibe, which was chill, was also perfect and we left, after a few hours, all agreeing that Kelley's is a fantastic spot. Set aside any hesitation and spot the search, Kelley's is where you're going tonight!

That doesn't exactly equal atmosphere. I thought to give it a try. It's located by a constantly changing restaurant and a seedy carryout. The atmosphere was like a dive bar with laid back regulars. It wasn't sterile as it might have expected to be. They aren't just a bar but also serve food. It's amazing but people have seemed to like it. The beer selection is okay. It's mostly the whatever light. They do have a few local brands. I would think about coming to My Bar 161 again, and then come to my senses. It's not that awful but it's not what you would call hipster. The regulars are an interesting, scary bunch.

Since my memory is getting bad and my wife has to tell me if I liked a restaurant or not, I went with their suggestion for carryout. Not only were they timely with the order, but took the time to call us when we got delayed getting there to see if we were alright, being several minutes late. I had the Bubba, BBQ, and Mild wings (see the photo). The Bubba was the one I was most interested in because they recommended it so highly. It was a bit strong for me, but tasted delicious. All were well prepared, cooked to perfection, meaty and left a wonderful aftertaste. I'll be sure to go through again for more. As long as my wife can remind me that I enjoyed them...

I stopped in on a Friday night to hear Alex Sings, and even though I came solo, I felt comfortable from the moment I walked in. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. The chicken tenders were fresh, hot, and well seasoned. Bobby, the bartender, took my strawberry Smirnoff to the next level by adding pineapple juice and strawberry Pucker--it was absolutely delicious! The service is what really stood out. Joey, the owner, and Bobby, the bartender, have got to be two of the coolest guys I've met in a while. They were super personable, down-to-earth, and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. What really earned my 5-star rating was learning that they donate their leftover food to people in need every week. I love supporting businesses that give back to the community. They also host Wing It & Sing It Karaoke on Wednesdays, and after this experience, I'm looking forward to coming back to check that out too. Joey's Place has fresh food, great drinks, genuine hospitality, and a laid-back atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!
