Pho with sliced beef, brisket and meatballs
Faith E.

Wow so tasty!! This is our new favorite pho place and we are always trying new ones! The pho is amazing! The broth is full of the delicious flavor flavors you would expect in a good pho broth and the meat is tender and tasty! The service was fast and friendly. We tried the veggie rolls which were hot and crispy and delicious. We also got some tasty drinks. My daughter and I got the Vietnamese coffee and my boyfriend got a tasty Soju mixed drink that I can't remember the name of now. The bathroom was clean, warm and smelled great. We will definitely be back... and soon.

The broth hit the spot cuz it was so cold outside and i feel like it had very good beef flavor. I'm not too familiar with what traditional pho is like but this one didn't have bean sprouts or lime and had a stronger meat flavor. It was still very yummy.

I've had a lot of pho, mostly in Chicago, but this is the best pho I've had anywhere in Illinois. It's delicious! Good broth, tender meat, I 100% recommend!!

Pho with ribeye

This place is amazing! Clean, welcoming, fresh with delicious food. We got the spring rolls, pork belly buns, and the pho is of course, the main event! Wayne and Mama Lam know how to throw down amazing Vietnamese cuisine!

Went there today, ordered a Noodle Salad Bowl with beef and three fried egg rolls. It tasted refreshing in such a warm and sunny day! The serving people were very polite and friendly. I also saw some people there ordering pho, which looked delicious as well. Will go there again for another try.

New location alert! 2502 VILLAGE GREEN PL CHAMPAIGN, IL 61822 So being from the SGV and a pho snob from LA, getting pho in rural Champaign Illinois isn't at the top of my list. I heard this about this place and had to try it! The egg rolls were probably the best I've had in Champaign- Urbana. Fresh ingredients and flash fried. With the lettuce wrap! 5/5 The spring rolls, these were special, cool wrapped tasty and crunchy goodness dipped in a magical made from scratch sauce with hand crushed peanuts. This peanut sauce is gold alone. 5/5 The pho, a hearty broth with just the right amount of onion, cilantro pepper and chili. The noodles were perfect consistency, each strand waiting to be consumed. I asked for brisket only ( I know what I like). 5/5 Tip: Go with ample time, it's made to order! Also, this Latina likes lime in my pho, ask for a lime!

Food was quickly made. Fresh. Delicious and authentic. Winter rolls contain delicious grilled beef, and onions, and noodles accompanied by tasty peanut vinaigrette Banh Mi pork belly sandwich very satisfying.

pho with beef rib

The food was amazing we've been wanting to come check this place out for awhile and it did not disappoint . The Pho rench dip sandwich was amazing . The Pho had so much meat and noodles it was seriously the best Pho we've had . The service was also great the owner was so friendly. Will definitely be coming back .

Pho, double meat.

There just isn't better pho to be had. You wouldn't guess that the best pho you'll have in your life would be in Champaign, IL, but it is. I live downtown Chicago but travel for work constantly and pho is a go to for me because most places are authentic. Doesn't matter, this is the best. Without being hyperbolic it's one of the best tasting meals you'll ever have. I don't know how the mom in the back does it but I hope she lives to be 200.

My Birds nest noodles. The current special and absolutely delicious. The noodles were so crispy, yet not greasy. Another exceptional dish.

Incredible. The food. The staff and the service. All are top notch. The care and attention in what they do is so evident. The broth is light, yet deeply flavourful. The noodles are never over cooked. I love that they change their menu frequently and that they focus on a limited number of dishes done right ! This place is almost too good for Champaign.

Chicken noodle salad (vermicelli) with Vietnamese coffee

This is a new Vietnamese place in the area. It made me so excited since I haven't found any "solely Vietnamese" places in town. I love vermicelli on a good summer day. Their chicken vermicelli bowl really hit the spot. You can't try Vietnamese food without Vietnamese coffee, it complements the full experience really well. The server was very welcoming and nice. It's a small family run restaurant with a mom and two siblings. They have pretty quick services and check in on you to make sure you're enjoying your meal. Probably the best Vietnamese food I've had in Champaign thus far (that's saying something since I've been here for +9 years or so). I'm definitely making another trip back here soon.

We were on a way to Indianapolis and had a craving for Phó. We were happily surprised and really enjoyed the phó. Everything was tasty from the spring rolls to the pork buns. The phó came prepared with the basil, mint, and jalapeños which was good but we prefer to prepare our own. We will give this restaurant a 4.5.

But don't judge a book by its cover, it was by far some of the best Thai I've ever had. We order off their lunch menu, pad Thai and green curry, spice level medium. Thai is my favorite and I often make it at home and I love spice. However, their medium spice is burn your lips and mouth off spicy. My eyes were watering and my nose running! I would definitely get mild next time. I've eaten a lot of other Thai and always order medium, but their medium is very very hot. Our waitress was super friendly and sweet! The parking lot was empty when we got there (this will be bc no one is eating dinner at 4 pm except us lol). We got a Thai iced tea, pad Thai, calamari, and mango sticky rice. The waiter was very welcoming. The food is a little bit on the pricier side but it's very good. I wish people left more reviews, because as soon as we left it started filling out with other guests. I would definitely come again for a nice refreshing Thai tea and the mango sticky rice (and to try out more food)!

Bangkok Thai & Pho 911 has an off the beaten path feel to it. Has lots of auto garages and a creepy motel. The prices are kind of high for portions and quality. Basic looking inside but they have a bar. It's not much of one as it's still more of a restaurant. The menu has lots of the classics and is a pretty great variety. Get noodles, pho, or rice among the main choices. It's about $15 for an entree. The noodle items is what we got and there was the classic ones. I got the Pad Kee Mao. This has basil, carrots, eggs which I left off, onions, peppers, and choice of a protein, and I got it with tofu. She got the Pad Woon Sen. This is glass noodles and vegetables with choice of protein, and tofu was the choice too. Basic tasting to be honest. There was also the level of spiciness and it was hot but still wasn't a lot popping as far as the flavor it seems. For certain it's not fancy. It's got another location on campus while this one is on Cunningham without much going on around it. They're closed Tuesdays.

However, the quality of food here does not seem to justify the price point set at Ko Fusion. The menu reflects the fusion aspect of the restaurant. Ko Fusion offers an entire Japanese sushi menu, along with various stir fries, curries, ramen and even Korean BBQ on certain nights. From the multiple visits I have had here, I would not say that they stand at the top in any cuisine, the food is relatively average. First things first, paying over $20 for a single sushi roll is one of my least favorite dining experiences out there. With restaurants charging a little more for an all you can eat experience or even doing buy one get one deals, the sushi roll has to be really, really good to make it worth it. I did not feel that way here at Ko Fusion. In fact, I felt that Flaming Phoenix Roll was good at best and when I finished, I was still starving. I do think there is an effort to import quality ingredients and do a nice job with presentation, but I was definitely not satisfied. On my next visit, I wanted to order a dish as it would hopefully fill me up more. I ordered their Bul Go Kee and at $32 dollars, I was really was hoping it would be a standout dish. The food was alright, but again, could not justify the price point set for the dish. Not only that, I am looking back on the menu and realize that I never got the lettuce wrap portion of the meal. The beef itself had some decent flavor and was tender, so it at least wasn't a bad dish. I just was left feeling like I did not get my money's worth. Would I recommend this place for nicer occasions? I guess so. However, I would go so far to make this your go-to Japanese or Korean spot, places that specialize in those cuisines would likely give you a better bang for your buck.

On a visit back home my mom said there was no good Chinese food spots anymore. I said "challenge accepted." I knew I was in for a treat when I saw this place served 'hot braised chicken.' The last time I had hot braised chicken was from a restaurant called China Express that closed down back in the 90s, and I longed for it ever since. I placed my order and waited excitedly. An older gentleman in the restaurant said he likes coming here because it's the only place that makes Chinese food like he used to get in Chicago. You can't beat that kind of endorsement! Golden Wok did not disappoint at all! It wasn't the same hot braised chicken like China Express, but it was its own kind of delicious! I let my mom try some and we went back the next day for more!
