Jeff stanbrough has too much going on to care for the people who have made him his money. He has a minion he sends out to deliver bad news named Jeremy. Jeff is a dishonest coward. I was treated so poorly. I was judged for being different. I was served a 3 day notice for having a controlled substance which never existed. The negligence and absolute disrespect is something I'll never forget. I was raided by police (Dallas county) and still am not sure the reason behind it all. I had a gun to my head and was handcuffed only to be released after they searched the house and found nothing. I want answers, but I'll probably never get them. I have trouble sleeping, I wake up in panic several times every hour. I feel like I need therapy. These guys are So hard to get a hold of. Maintenance requests take forever and when they come they do a shit job. Every single staff member I've dealt with was so horrible to me. The communication is non existent unless they wanna reach you. The properties are cheap and repairs are slim. I hope nobody else gets treated the way I was treated by this horrible company. Leah judged me and declined my first application because I mentioned how I like to make music. I should have heeded the warning signs. Red flags all over. Overpriced and overly rude. I hope Stanbrough goes out of business, so nobody else feels how I've felt. Now my entire life is in storage and I've never been more thankful I have no more ties with stanbrough. They are detail oriented and transparent with me. There are multiple things that I appreciate about them. Here are a few of the items: 1. They ensure that my tenants are in a safe and clean environment. If something needs to be repaired they get it fixed quickly. If the repair is a bit more costly, they help get multiple quotes and work with me on the timing of the repair whenever possible. 2. They keep their portal updated so I can see the income and expense details. 3. I get a monthly report from the property manager letting me know what is going on at the properties. 4. They have good customer service. If I have a question or if the tenant has a question they respond quickly to address the question/concern. 5. They are detail oriented. This is especially important when you work with financial transactions. I couldn't be happier to work with the team at Stanbrough. Tobit has become a trusted business partner. Upon moving in, there were a few issues. The garage door lock was completely broken and had to be…read morefixed the day of moving. Once i got more settled in, i noticed that there was limited counter space and there were zero towel holders in each bathroom. I had to physically buy shelves and towel holders in order to live comfortable. The thing i also notice is they are EXTREMLEY pushy when it comes to payment and threatened to evict me after missing about a week of payment due to my check not hitting till that next Friday. Then i had a billing issue one time which lead to them attempting to force me into doing a 2 month voucher locking my digital portal. While attempting to find a solution and explain what happened, the woman my mother talked to was extremely rude about the whole situation. The bathrooms have no ventilation which leads to shower curtains and everything growing mold way quicker than it should. I had to buy a dehumidifier in order to keep the mold from growing on my things in the bathroom. Air conditioning only spreads through the living-room leaving the other rooms in the home hot in the summer. I was excited at first due to them claiming they were doing a new tenet special just to find out that it never existed. I wouldn't recommend moving here, and i plan on dipping as soon as my lease is up. You pay a lot for a lot of nothing. No dishwasher, no in unit laundry machine, no bathroom drawers and no garbage disposal at all. (oh and to top it off. there is no on site agent to show you around the units. They have you message someone in another country for the door code. When i first went to tour a unit, they didn't give me a proper code for the lock and it took me and my family about 15 minuets to finally get in contact with a member who had hung up on us repeatedly. This honestly should have been my first red flag before moving in.)

I posted a review in 3/2025 after Matt bought my sister's house (I am executor of her estate) …read more. it was a glowing review .. since closing date, I learned he never put the utilities in his name so the charges went to my sister's account .. he keeps claiming to pay them and never does ... he also said her car had been sold for $500 and the money was to be given to the attorney handling the estate ... this has never happened .. no idea where the car or the money is .. I live in AZ and was in IA for my sister's death ... Matt claimed to have everything under control and said all the "right" things to put my mind at rest ... he has essentially defrauded my sister's estate of the money for the sale of her car, defrauded the utilities of their charges and refuses to answer any calls or texts ... this man is not to be trusted .... to do this type of business transaction on top of the grief of my sister's death is appalling ... Since moving out in May, my roommate and I have not received any returned phone calls or emails to the apartment manager and company itself regarding our security deposit. 1 check was sent with no explanation and a misspelled name and we wanted to verify the security deposit originally given.
