I currently live here and can't WAIT to move out. Getting the apartment was a mess…read more The pet fee is outrageous. $500 for a cat plus monthly pet rent of $25. Plus I had to pay for one months rent for the deposit. $500 For one cat. This is absurdly high. I was also required to purchase renters insurance but they didn't tell me that until the day before I filled out the application for the apartment. Also, no one told me I had to make out checks to Lenox Properties, which is a part of Metro Properties. When I turned in my application, I made the check out to metro properties and was told that they would not be able to hold the apartment until a correct check was written. Other cons. The apartment is SO COLD in the winter. I have a space heater which I'm not supposed to have but the one time I called to ask about the heat I was basically told to suck it up, so I did by acquiring a space heater. The hot water is also awful. The shower goes from a good temperature to FREEZING COLD in a matter of seconds. The pressure varies too. I am assuming this depends on how many people are using the water/ hot water in the apartment at the same time. Sometimes I have to run the water at the kitchen sink for 5 straight minutes waiting for hot water. If I did have to pay for water I would be furious because of how long I have to wait because the water pressure and heat can't keep up with the demands of the building. The apartment was DIRTY when I moved in. I asked for some rent to be taken off due to me cleaning and they told me no. I have never rented from people who were so inept at keeping their renters happy.

For family of 4, $1700/ mo for 1300 sq ft w underground parking, elevator, and St. Francis of…read moreAssisi Church/School across street may be good. MUCH better deals for flat mates area, esp w only 1 mailbox key! Four lights in bathrooms with ONE switch!Heat lamp is close to door, not tub, and with no HVAC vent-VERY cold in winter! Only outlet by sink, so even space heater didn't help. You WILL miss a laundry room. Not very considerate neighbors. DON'T rent on 3rd floor; halls ALWAYS smell terribly! St. F. PA VERY noisy-even w windows closed, blinds down, and thermal drapes! (Not to mention train.) Much storage space (esp if you are over 6 ft. and can reach microwave and upper cabinets.) If wind is over 10 mph, your windows will shake, rattle, & roll! Good maintenance but sad that 5 yr old building's faucets and towel bars pop off easily, ceiling lights are falling, and even with newer appliances, utility bills were twice as high! Being lied to that there were no highest floor apartments available was bad but I have 'disabled' plates. (Have trouble walking, with severe asthma and stated so at initial tour.) Was given parking space FURTHEST from elevator! (Luckily, someone else had taken it.) Then given one in between, despite several disabled' ones empty AND 5 cars with out plates/ tags in those spots on east side alone. (Now there are 7!!!) Friendly leasing agent who tries but mgr is clueless! Not only did it take over a month to get initial questions, etc., settled, someone stole 1 (of 2) shopping carts 1st month we were there. 2 months later, they bought 2 more. 4 months after that, she thought there were still 4! (And never one when needed). We did get 24 hour package access after several months though. They try to 'add value' with Saturday morning snacks and occasional 'resident appreciation' type socials but why not give winter parking deals, a warmer than 60 degree pool in June, and a car wash-n-vac (more people have cars that need washing than dogs, btw). Having a 'Welcome Packet' with clear appliance, Internet, and recycling instructions would have been VERY helpful and SERVICE-oriented. A 25%, second year rent increase with NO negotiation WAS NOT!!! erin50266@gmail.

This is the third one-star review for this complex. Please understand they are warranted…read more.. I put in an online application for this complex due to its location. When I went on a tour, the people who did the tour were nice. The property and apartments aren't nice and the other apartments in the area are much nicer for less money. This apartment changed the move-in special after I put in my application and said they couldn't offer me the special due to "fair housing laws" (I think she meant fair housing act) even though I had NOT signed a lease. Look for other apartments in the area... There are good options.

My girlfriend and I lived in a unit for over 3 and a half years. I want to be clear from the start:…read morewe were told when we moved in, that we wouldn't be charged for any holes from nails for hanging pictures, etc. We were explained the difference between refundable, and the non-refundable deposits. We were told by Susie about the non-refundable deposit and how it would help us when we go to move out. Meaning that money for the non-refundable deposit would be money going towards last months rent, damages, and anything else that they would try and nickel and dime us for at move out. We also referred a friend to live there. He fulfill the obligations to meet our referral bonus requirements and they were never given to us. We had to talk to Fatima and the other resident managers three or four times to get anything done about the referral bonus. That was not that case what so ever. They tried charging us over $1300 or so dollars for "damage" and painting and all other sorts of crap that I figured they would do when we go to move out. It was very convenient that Susie no longer works for West Pointe, the person who explained the non-refundable deposit. After some back and forth over the nonrefundable deposit, and friend referral, they finally gave us a revised move out total charge of $1029. No where close to the $250 referral bonus, and anyone with a brain would try to go for a refund on their deposit? They made me think the money went towards moving out, when it went to NOTHING! They just keep the $400-800 and you'll still be paying out your ass when you're moving out too? So if you're reading this, don't fall for their bs tactics and fall for it being "cheaper". They're full of shit. Not only could they not respond in a timely manner, with an email or phone call. They decided to send that $1029 to a debt collection agency. Absolutely go fuck yourselves. Enjoy the $500 that you'll get from the collect agency. You guys (Fatima especially) suck. If I could do 0 stars, I would.
