A great place to go to when you're craving for a good old burger washed down with a couple of beers. To be honest, I was a bit overwhelmed with all the options so I ended up choosing the hangover burger because I'm a sucker for burgers with eggs. This definitely hit the spot! You can customize your own burger by choosing the kind of cut, which they give clear flavor profiles for. You can also choose between three different kinds of buns alongside with a wide array of other toppings. Their onion rings are some of the best I've tasted in the city! Crisp onion rings with a dash of bbq flavoring. Overall, another great burger joint here in Manila.

this is the only burger i will get (and be satisfied with) in manila. from where i come from, we have been spoiled with in-n-out... it's hard to compare apples vs. grapes, but this is a great substitute. honestly, what keeps us coming back is the service. the manager (G-Boy) always gives us top notch service, remembers our orders and names, and always has a smile on his face. i always make my own burger and customize the toppings -- if you plan to do the same, i suggest: -truffle cream cheese - fried onion leeks - fried egg - sweetly spiced bbq sauce totes yums

I first discovered 8 Cuts not because I was hungry and craving for a burger, more like I was thirsty and I was craving for a drink (Specifically alcohol :P). They have really awesome promos for unlimited cocktails during weekdays (Their classic mojito is my favorite), and they also have a selection of both local and foreign brands of beer. But wait, I want to tell you more about the main attraction, which is their burgers. You could opt to get ready made burgers on their menu, but if you want to create your own burger, you could too! They have interesting names for their burgers such as The Hangover Burger, the Piggy, the Franchy, etc. My favourite burger so far is the Rising Shroom burger, because I love them mushrooms! I like to partner that burger up with steak cut fries or truffle parmesan fries! The meat in their burgers are so juicy, and is always cooked to perfection! You could choose to 'Pimp your fries' with japaleno and cheese, or bacon and cheese, and the like! They also have an interesting selection of milkshakes. They have the classic kinds like the chocolate milkshake, the caramel milkshake, etc. And there are the more innovative ones too such as the Red Velvet Caked Shake, Nutella Shake, the Speculoos Cookie Butter shake, and more! Can't ever seem to get enough from this Burger joint whether I'm looking for drinks or food! ;) I'm looking forward to trying everything they have on their menu in the near future.

Plus, who doesn't love Bacon? Seriously. The place is small and cramped. There are a couple of high stools and three small tables under the "Long Live Bacon" sign. If you need to use the comfort room, you have to enter the secret room called ABV. It's a speakeasy and I will definitely talk about it more in another review. The food here is perfect for after a long night of drinking with friends. They offer a breakfast menu where you can customize your own plate. Want a bacon and egg sandwich made with 2 waffles? Go for it! But, in my opinion, the definite Must Try here are their Hotdogs! All their hotdogs are bacon-wrapped and deep fried! YUM! I recommend the Chili Dog (Php220) and the Kimchi Dog (Php190). Next time, I will have to try their Tater Bombs (bacon-wrapped potato tots)! But, it's always sold out when I arrive! Huhu! I can't wait to see what Lazy Bastard will "baconify" next! :D

I heard about hotdogs sold at Php 100 but never at these prices. My siblings and I decided to be adventurous and tried their hotdogs anyway. It was in Jupiter street and we found parking around the area. We saw their big sign that said "Bacon & Burgers this way". When I took a bite of their hotdog, I was enlightened. I tasted the hotdog sandwich's full potential. I experienced Lazy Bastard's BACON WRAPPED hotdog in a bun and topped with a load of toppings. I particularly found their Con carne and parmesan hotdog sandwich to be their bestest. On my next visit, I'm planning to try their AVOCADOG. On the other hand, I found their burger to be okay.

So that's when the burger frenzy started. I tried restaurant after restaurant, I think I was making up for lost time. Fast food burgers are okay and reliable for the most part, but sometimes we just want to eat something that's... I don't know, a little bit loved when it's cooked? I'm being funny here. I don't know. As for 8Cuts, well, for starters, the prices are a little higher than other budget burger houses. High price is pretty much a burger place understatement nowadays so nothing really surprising about that. At the very least 8Cuts doesn't charge too much on their burgers. The cheapest starters I could find was called The Dip of Warm, which is made of artichokes and spinach. So no I didn't get that. I got their mozzarella sticks Php 255 which was okay. They taste good and nothing out of place. For the burgers, they have Classic and Tributes. The classic ones are well, classic hamburgers and cheeseburgers while the tributes have some other knickknacks added to it. I got Hangover for around Php 295. That's a quarter pounder, by the way. I was satisfied with it although I didn't get to finish the whole thing. It was just too big for me. All in all, 8Cuts would be perfect if you're looking for a fries-and-burger-and-shakes fix.

It meant only one thing: Hawaiian food. In the Philippines. Oh my god. I must have it! Teddy's Kailua Burger is good if you like burgers with some awesome sauce beef, and I definitely recommend it. But to all my fellow non-burger-loving people out there, I ask that you try the Loco Moco or Western Loco Moco at Teddy's. Now you might be thinking, 'Loco Moco? What the heck is that? Will it turn me crazy?' Yes! Sort of. The Loco Moco is a modern Hawaiian dish with a sunny side up egg resting on top of a hamburger patty, which happens to lie over a bed of hot white rice, all slathered with their special gravy, and yes, it's amazingly simple. Slice through that egg and tender beef, mix the yolk with the sauce and the rice for a taste of paradise! And to take it up a notch, add bacon and onion rings with the Western Loco Moco. Either way, the Loco Moco is a mountain of awesome, like a burger without a bun and those pesky vegetables. Sorry, vegetables. Whether you're hankering for local Hawaiian food or simply curious about what something called a Loco Moco would taste like, Teddy's Bigger Burgers is the place to try it. Mahalo, Teddy's! (Four stars because their salmon poke isn't that good, though.)

They don't just offer your regular run-of-the-mill cheeseburger. They have different kinds of interesting specialty burgers. Their bestseller is Kailua Burger which is basically a cheeseburger with Swiss cheese, grilled onions and mushrooms. Personally though, I like the Fire Burger. It had onion rings, bacon and the fire sauce which gave the burger a little spicy kick - just the way I like it. Also, the bun was super awesome and the new shoestring fries are addictive. Highly recommended. Go give it a try. And don't be afraid to go for the 9 oz. burger. It's not as big as the sample says it is. They have the pre-shrunk raw patty size on display. The patties aren't that thick.

Do those 2 things correctly and you're 95% on the way to a good burger. I mean, what did the burger ever do to you? Okay, enough of my ranting. I'm just happy to have stumbled across The Beef a few weeks ago. I've been to Hole in the Wall 2 or 3 times already yet I've never tried The Beef. It's an inconspicuous looking black and gray colored shop with a sign stating "The Beef" overhead. Maybe the reason I overlooked it the first few times I visited. Their menu is intriguing because it consists of only 3 items: burger, cheeseburger and fries. I went ahead and ordered a cheeseburger with fries and waited patiently. Little did I know what was waiting for me when I took my first bite into this burger. The burger is delicious and everything I look for in one: juicy, huge beef flavor and I particularly liked the salty, seared crust on the outside. The bun holding the burger appears to be brioche and is soft and spongy, which absorbs all the juices as you consume it. These 2 components alone make this possibly the best burger I've ever tried in Manila. The burger is also dressed with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles and other condiments which only enhance the experience. This thing literally had me daydreaming about it after my first visit and I kept bothering my girlfriend that we had to return and trust me, I will. Pros -One of the best, if not the best, burgers right now in the Metro. -Simple menu. Cons -Pricey. Burger and fries will set you back at least P350. -Fries are meh. Last but not least: Dill pickles on a burger? Yes. Raw cucumber and/or sweet pickles on a burger? NO, just NO. Just wanted to get that off my chest.
