This was the best latte I had in Utah and it is just a hole in the wall place. We found it by accident and it was worth it.

Initially I wasn't sure we were even in the right place. Once you walk in though, the inside is exactly what you expect a small town restaurant to feel like, in a good way. My family and I made it in time for breakfast, which I have understood is a fairly new offering of theirs. The breakfast menu is very simple. No pancakes, or French toast or anything like that. You've really just got your option of toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and omelets. I don't think this is a bad thing. More than not I value a short and sweet menu. What caught our eye was the option to get a scone with butter, honey and or jam. We ordered a scone, large biscuits and gravy, the country meal, and the 2 eggs hash browns and toast for our two toddlers. I'd say the food was, just good. There wasn't anything particularly special about it, but it was also not bad by any means. It's totally what I'd expect to be served at a family breakfast or something. I see this as a good thing. No bells and whistles, just good good. That said, the scone was the BOMB .com! Perfectly fried and with some really good jelly it was the perfect way to finish up breakfast. I look forward to coming back in the future (One important thing to note however was the smell upon walking in. I don't know if someone who smokes had just spent a lot of time in the restaurant that morning, or if the building itself has residual smoke smell from back when smoking was legal inside. I hope it's the former. If not, I will have to adjust my review down to 3 stars and I hope they are able to address it)

The barista was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The shop is tucked right into the middle of a charming little community, which made it feel like a hidden gem. Inside, it reminded me of a cozy work-from-home space, a place where you could grab coffee, breakfast, or lunch and comfortably spend a few hours. We'll definitely be back!

FYI - it's located in a building called "The Shed" which is a separate business housed in the same location. It looks like they plan on this area being an all inclusive community with trails, a coffee shop to work and study (includes internet paid into it by the community) and other activities. I like the layout - it's spacious, plenty of seating and clean. Lots of window and it has a great view of the mountains to the west. Staff was nice. I ordered an Americano. I judge the coffee based on, well, the actual coffee rather than the foofy sugary/sweet drinks which masks the real coffee flavor. The Americano was almost average and very watered down. It also had an odd sour taste which is either how they brew it or the type of bean being - either way I didn't like it. We also ordered "The Cowboy" breakfast sandwich. It was okay - could've used more egg and it also had a spiciness that I wasn't expecting. Overall a nice place in a nice location - but the food and drink are lacking.

The Shop is a small shop, next to the or just barely visible next to the local Laundromat. The Service was Excellent from Start to Finish. The Coffee and Drinks are prepared and presented in a very Professional Manner with Excellent Taste, not too sweet and not too acidic. What a Wonderful Experience. The Food was Prepared, Presented and Served with Excellent Care and Professional Quality and Care. I had the Breakfast Burrito ($9.00) and is was quite large, very well prepared and presented, and was very filling. Good quality and quantity for the price. My Breakfast Partner had the AvocadoToast with Veggies and Egg. ($8.00). It too was Prepared, Presented and Served with the same Professional Care and Presentation that I had with my order. Malu Ixel is definitely worth the time, travel, price and consideration. Again a Local Business Coffee Shop that deserves the business and support. They have been in business here in Magna for one year and are definitely a great choice and hit.

The two women who own it and run it were so nice, friendly and very attentive. The inside is super cute! There is plenty of seating, and a clean bathroom. There is water and cups available in a water dispenser. They also have some beautiful, intricately beaded jewelry on display for sell. The menu is inspired with items from Guatemala and Mexico. And they add new items regularly. We tried the strawberry crepe (so many fresh strawberries, mouth-wateringly delicious), the breakfast burrito with a side of yummy green sauce and chips), the carinito latte (cinnamon, caramel and vanilla. So much cinnamon... it was truly heavenly), a matcha, and a peanut butter cocoa. They brought it to out table and cleaned it up. (Not an actual sit down and server style.) They used fancy looking silverware and everything had a lovely presentation that made me feel special. We will definitely come back!! We want to try everything!!! Looking forward to the Chilaquiles, Pacheco, quesadilla, and various unique coffees. Come give it a try, you will not be disappointed!!! (The area may be a little off to the side and out if the way. But you must give it a try!) I really want them to do well, and I hope they are successful.
