So I took my car to Soliz Autoz to have a brand new engine put in, and it wasn't put in…read moresuccessfully. Tony originally wanted me to take it to MC Tires, have them run diagnostics, then take it back to him to have him continue to work on since he couldn't figure out the issue. He guaranteed his work, and promised he would fix any issues for free, but couldn't seem to figure out what the issue was himself.
When I went to pick it up, which I was hesitant to do, I wasn't comfortable paying him for an unfinished job, the engine was shaking. He had the hood open, and was standing there, vaping weed while working on my car, telling me he figured it out. He said if just needed a clip on this hose, that it was getting to much air. I drove my car off of his lot with the check engine light on.
I took my car back to him a few days later for him to try and figure out why the check engine light was on, and he was unable to figure it out. He told me it was just a false reading.
Yesterday I called him again, and told him I was planning on getting a second opinion from another mechanic, maybe even two. I wanted to remind him that I still planned on keeping him at his word, that if he made a mistake, he'd be fixing it for free.
Last night my car broke down on I-74. The RPM's we're going high, but my car wasn't going down the road, and I couldn't put it in park, I had to use the e brake. I had my car towed back to Soliz Autoz.
This morning, we got in a fight over my car, he refused to fix it, and told me to come get it off his lot. He would only talk to a male friend of mine, and said he didn't even want me on his lot. My car now needs transmission work, because of what Tony did to my vehicle. All of the mechanics I've spoke with say he's liable, and believe I should take him to court. I just want my car fixed and for Tony to keep his word, which he doesn't seem to be willing to do.
