I have a long history with this breeder. After seeing the only other review she has on Yelp, and finding it questionable, based both on my personal experience and my years of hands on knowledge as a cat rescuer, I felt the need to comment.
Any kitten can contract mange. It lies dormant in the majority of cats and expresses itself in times of stress. A move to another state with very different weather could well qualify as such a stressor. I might add that mange is exceptionally manageable with calm, consistency, and medical intervention. It's not a life shortener.
My husband and I got our cat, Ziggy, from Marva. We are not "besties"outside of this transaction. I just don't want to see someone's business badmouthed for something she had no power to prevent. We found her to be a credible and loving breeder (and, as a rescuer, I'm super sensitive to this) who really takes her cat's personalities and needs into account.
Because she provides such a loving home and because Oriental Shorthairs are pretty emotional cats to begin with, leaving home can be very stressful to these kids. Our Ziggy was terrified on the car ride home. He settled in quickly, though, and today (8 years later) he's a talkative, happy, confident boy who shows massive affection to everyone (human, dog, or cat) he meets.
I would have not problem using 7th Heaven again and hope my experience reassures potential customers. read more
