Robert Navarro is truly the most talented craftsman in Chicago…read more This was my second large project with Robert, and once again he exceeded every expectation. He designed and built custom paneling for the main floor of our home, completely transforming the space. He also created a built-in dining nook that turned out absolutely perfect. For our previous project, Robert built custom under-the-stairs storage in our condo -- a beautiful and functional solution we still appreciate every day. Working with Robert is always a pleasure. He's meticulous about the details, ensuring every element is precise and tailored to our vision. His communication is excellent, and he's incredibly reliable -- always arriving exactly when he says he will, which is rare in the city! If you're considering any kind of custom woodworking, I can't recommend Robert highly enough.

First, I must say that Motee is a craftsman. The resulting art that graces our kitchen was what we…read morewere looking for, and Motee gave us more. We initially discovered Jory Marble Granite Quartz from a recommendation from a kitchen designer we were working with. Contacting him on Yelp, Motee was very responsive. I visited his shop and he gave the grand tour showing the possible stone that would work for our kitchen and he detailed his experience, his source of the stone and the differerence in quality. He made sure I understood the process and what to expect as a customer. He guaranteed that he would pick a stone we would like (he did) and that he would be the main cutter and installer. We needed a decent amount of quartz for our counter, backsplash and island, and based on my research, his prices seemed reasonable. But his customer service is priceless! Motee was always professional and considered my situation as a customer, continually communicating the next steps of the process. He made a suggestion to frame the window creating a quartz sill that stunning as well as functional; he even worked to use as large a slab as possible to reduce the number of seams. We had some minor issues with fit in one area because our appliances were delayed, but once the appliance was installed, Motee made sure everything fit perfectly. From the initial consult to the final install, he was professional, considerate, knowledgeable and dedicated to results he would want associated with his name. The quartz is beautiful, exactly what we wanted and the look speaks for itself! We will definitely go to Motee at Jory Marble Granite Quartz for any future quartz counters!

Unfortunately, the lady we approached (older lady, slightly crooked teeth) was insanely rude. When we asked to see options, she responded that they didn't have Corian (which we didn't want) Rather than showing us what they had, she was dismissive. We walked out without seeing anything. However, I will say their selection seemed limited, and there was no displays. We will likely return to the new Orland countertop retailer on 151st. They have tons of options, displays to show you what the product will look like, and their staff are insanely nice!

Lakewood Countertops at Pearl Design Group came in at half the price of the store in St. Charles. It was about $100 more than the box stores, but Lakewood was willing to come out and measure and deliver the tops when complete, so I felt their price was worth it. Also, they explained why their process was better than the box stores. The counters looked amazing and were well done. They did have to redo the backsplashes because I needed them 1/4 inch taller than normal and someone misread the instructions, but they came and picked them up and fixed them and brought them back to me, so I can't complain!
