A great place to stay if you want to make new friends! Seriously though, this place has bed bugs.
I was working in town for three weeks, and my experience at this hotel left much to be desired. The whole property looks unkempt. Some of the doors have the room numbers written in sharpie. Inside, it's not much better. There were small holes in the ceiling and walls, stains on chairs and cigarette burns in the blankets. I can say the other rooms faired the same. I stayed in three different ones during my visit.
I'm not really high maintenance, I kind of shrugged it off, knowing that I'd be working a lot and this would be just a place to sleep.
On the second or third night, our leaky faucet was repaired. However, the mess that was created during the repair was left behind. We had to call the front desk to get it cleaned up.
Another night I had a new roommate joining me. My other roommate had left. I called the front desk to request new sheets. I was told they only change them on Wednesdays. I had to insist on new sheets for my new roommate. When the new sheets came, the old ones were never removed. They stayed balled up on the floor for a few days.
My key card wouldn't open my door on multiple occasions. The company I was working for paid for the hotel. I'm sure they told them when we would be checking out. Well every week the keys wouldn't work. Plus, after switching to nights, we kept getting woken up and asked to check out. This happened three days in a row. We kept telling them when we were leaving. A real lack of communication.
One morning, my roommate found a bed bug on the pillow. We demanded a new room. They tried to put us in a lesser room with only one bed and a pull out couch. Finally we got a room with three beds in it. Good thing too, that room had bed bugs as well. While switching rooms, the attendant told us that they have received other complaints about bed bugs, and have known about the issue for a few months. He told us they weren't properly dealing with it.
I would also like to add that I'm fairly sure they don't truly flip the rooms. One morning as we were being asked to check out before our check out date, the maid came to the door with only new towels. Now I know, maybe she was going to come back with clean sheets. My experience with this hotel leaves me to believe otherwise. When I had been outside, and the maid had been cleaning rooms, I never saw dirty sheets outside the rooms at any time.
Wouldn't stay there again even if someone paid me. Awful experience. It's only redeeming quality is the bar attached to the complex, and the honest attendant who helped us into our new room. read more
