There was no visible price posted when tapping to pay, so I'm leaving this review to warn others. The car wash itself is totally worth it, but I would definitely skip the vacuum.

1-STAR REVIEW I was…read moreextremely disappointed with my experience at this Chevron gas station. The line of customers was long, and initially I thought the female employee was working by herself. While customers were waiting in line, a male Chevron employee walked in front of the chips while eating an apple. He appeared to be aware of the long line of customers. He then placed a CLOSED sign on the register where the female employee was working and opened another register. Unfortunately, his attitude toward me was very unpleasant. He appeared annoyed and irritated. I only wanted to purchase a $1.00 lottery ticket and had a $20 bill. The male employee told me, "I just returned from my break, and I am not going to give you $19.00 in cash for $1.00 lottery sale ". I did not argue with him or say anything further. I simply walked out of the gas station. I found the entire interaction unnecessary and unprofessional. Customers should not be made to feel uncomfortable or inconvenienced because an employee does not want to provide change for a small purchase. I hope management reviews this situation and addresses the customer-service concerns at this location. Very disappointing experience.

I told him $599 or $59.99?? and he said no $599. I was shocked. I said "no that's not what I came here for - I just want a simple wash and vacuum and wipe down the inside". He said "OK $499" then he went down to $299 and then it was $199. He was totally trying to take advantage of me because I'm a woman and I had never been there before. I said "Ok I'm leaving. I just wanted to get a simple wash for like 30 or 40 bucks". So he says ok and flips his little paper over and reluctantly shows me the cheaper deals where it's in the $30-60's. So I ended up getting a $60 wash so that they would wipe down the inside because he said that they don't wipe the inside down for the $30 or $40 prices. I ended up waiting over an hour which was weird since there was only two other cars being done at the time. They did a nice job on the truck, but I hated being talked to by him as if I was a dumb girl and tried to get taken for. I will never go back. Beware that they will try to overcharge you and don't let them talk you into paying for their ridiculous packages.

The gas prices are still good down here in Chula Vista, but not as low as some of the other stations around the hood. Still I prefer this Chula Union 76 to fill up at because at least I know that there should be or hopefully is, some of that car narcotic that Shell, Chevron and Union 76 add to their gas mixes to make old cars like mine run smoother. This station is the last one you hit leaving H Street to get on the Interstate 5 freeway entrances. It is also a stone's throw away from the Chula Vista H Street Trolley station. They sell lots of snack junk food and soda. A lot of their food is ethnic, like the limon-flavored chips and Mexican candy. This is Chula Vista, after all. Yay! I'm a fan.
