This Terribles is... terrible. Old guy at the counter wouldn't let me get a drink as part of their promotion. Have never had that issue at any other Terribles in Henderson or Vegas. Whole staff seems like they're fresh out of the trailer park, loud and cursing the entire time I was inside. And it's rare that any gas pump here even works. If you're a Boulder City resident or from out of town, you are better off going to literally anywhere else. read more

This review is for the convenience store. I want to give a big shout out to Cynthia and her co-worker that I met on one of my RML rides. These ladies are so down to earth and friendly that it makes stopping here feel fantastic. Considering we're still in this pandemic, they didn't shame me for not having a mask whilst riding my bike and needing to stop for a liquid beverage when it's 116° out in the afternoon. Instead...they kindly provided a mask and let me quench my thirst with a great selection of cold drinks. On this particular stop, I opted for the strawberry-banana Body Armour since it contains coconut water and I was feeling pretty dehydrated. 76 Gas Station - Nice view from the bench and picnic table area... - Gas Stations Near Me - Boulder City, Nevada

Introduction. I am an avid hiker. Over the years I have spent a substantial amount of time hiking in the backcountry that is contiguous to this 76 Terrible Herbst by means of the River Mountains Loop Trail. By Mile Marker 28.5, it is one of three convenience stores off the 34 mile loop trail. This review is written from the perspective of a hiker that has visited this location. This review is broken down to two sections: 1. Fuel stop and 2. River Mountains Convenience Store. 1. Fuel Stop. I have never stopped here for fuel. A major reason is that I prefer to fill up before driving into the desert country instead of leaving it. Regardless, I have some information to pass on. After passing the state line into Nevada, this is the first fuel stop on northbound Boulder City Parkway (as of late 2018 US 93 is rerouted on the I-11 freeway). Notwithstanding that the 76 sign is visible from the highway, northbound motorists have to turn right on Valle Drive. It is a relatively new business that took over one that was abandoned for a few years. I believe that it was a Mobil years ago. It is one of the few Terrible Herbst Convenience stores to be associated with a 76 instead of Chevron. It is not the cheapest fuel stop. On May 23, 2018 the fuel was $3.39 a gallon. That is 6 cents more than the second northbound fuel stop: the Railroad Pass Chevron. It is an astonishingly clean station to spend a little more on gas. Missing is the sight of graffiti carved into gas pumps. Instead there is a grand view of Lake Mead. 2. River Mountains Convenience Store. To bicyclists and hikers (me), this is a mirage in the desert and oasis. If any scenario would portray the mirage in the desert, it is the dehydrated hiker climbing up the River Mountains Loop Trail (from this point forward abbreviated RMLT) that set eyes on the 76 sign. To that dehydrated hiker than sign is the desert oasis. It is also a scenario for the hiker carrying water that is up for an ice cold beverage. The later would be me. The beverages include water, soft drinks, and Coke Freestyle machine. For this reason, I appreciate this 76. After miles of hiking in the desert including 30 minutes climbing up the RMLT, that ice cold beverage tastes out of this world. In my Las Vegas hiker-in-training days when I was half-witted and ran out of water that $2.68 Aquafina or $1 32-ounce Coke Free Style drink was worth $20. I remember a couple of years back that if I did run out of water that I would have to walk all the way up the hill to Albertson's. Now that I park by the Nevada Welcome Center on weekdays, I stop here to pick up hydration for the trail then after. The 76 is a short distance off the RMLT from the short unsigned Nevada Welcome Center Trail. Using the Visitor Center as a trailhead, 76 is an ideal stop on hikes up Red & Black Mountain and into the Lake Mead National Recreation Area and Bootleg Canyon by way of the RMLT. It also makes an ideal stop on the short walk between the Welcome Center and Hemingway Valley Park the Home of the Bighorn Sheep. After a long hike the shaded picnic tables overlooking Lake Mead create a scenic spot to take a breather with an ice cold beverage. On Tuesday after hiking in the Teddy Bear Cholla Forest, the shaded picnic tables gave me shelter from a moderate rain fall. In conclusion, this 76 Terrible Herbst is a major asset to the River Mountains Loop Trail. Let's face it, when you are hiking or biking for miles or hours in the desert sipping an ice cold beverage is priceless. read more

76 Gas Station in Boulder City saved my life. This place deserves 5 stars and year my sorry. My friend and I were driving to Las Vegas for my best friend's 21st birthday bash. We came from Tucson on a full tank in a 2009 Mazda 6 with confidence that we would get there in one tank. My fuel gauge warned me that I had just a 1/16 tank 10 miles away from Lake Mead (Lake Mead sucks, more on that later) and about 30 miles from this excellent gas station. There were a lot of mountains in this area, which helped us because my car is a 6 speed manual and were able to coast on the mountains. Anyways we had roughly 5 miles left in the tank and it was pouring rain. With my hazard lights on and my vision blurry, there it is. The beautiful Terrible's 76 on 100 Ville Dr. This station saved my weekend and my friends relationship. So back to Lake Mead....there was a sign signaling that "Gas Station on Lake Mead exit" when I was almost out. So I turn on the exit and the gas station is nowhere to be found. It takes us to a dirt road (keeping in mind I have a Mazda 6, not suited for off-road situations). We turn back to the 93, and after a few minutes, we see a Lake Mead Forrest Ranger about 200 yards away. We both get out and try to flag him down and he ZOOM ZOOMS past us at about 50 mph. What? Like who has the AUDACITY to do that, we needed help? Seriously man. Anyways, thanks for reading thus far. Thank you, 76, you saved possibly the best weekend of my young 21 year old life. read more

Pretty dumpy place, with unfixed damage, and just messy all around. Service was not exactly friendly. Asking for the restroom resulted in a grunt and kind of a head-wave towards the general vicinity. Some of the snack foods looked really old, so I just left without buying any. Gas price was much higher than others in the area. Would never return. read more

I recommend for the manager to think thoroughly before they hire just anyone. The front cashier has no people service or any idea what decent customer service is. Made rude comments while I was making a purchase. Definitely losing business and hurting business in one way another. Just a tip to the owner. read more
