I arrived to this station late on a Saturday with a flat tire that threatened to ruin a special weekend with my son. It was raining and nasty out, and the people inside were incredible kind and helpful, put on the spare and refused any payment for the service. I was overwhelmed by their kindness and care and can't say enough about their integrity and excellence. I hope to find a way to repay this incredible generosity but for now, have to settle for leaving this recommendation. First rate all around. read more

This is now a Shell station and while I rarely review gas stations, the customer service here is garbage. I walked in while the cashier was having a conversation with his wife or family member. They pretended I wasn't there, so I loudly asked a question about a product they sold. They continued to ignore me, so I asked again, louder. Finally, they paused their personal conversation to tend to a customer. Again, TERRIBLE customer service. Don't give a dime to these people. read more

This is now a Shell Gad Station & no longer a 76 Station. 7/18 @ 2:25pm- I regretted going here for gas due to convenience because it's a much higher price. I recall it being a 76 station prior to it becoming a Shell gas station and that's the only reason why I stopped here; otherwise, I wouldn't have stopped. I used my credit card at the pump and tried to print a receipt but it said my receipt printed inside at the Cashier's. I went inside & they said oh you're gonna have to wait, we are in the middle of switching shifts so we have to wait at least 5 minutes. I said forget it but I did ask why there was no paper to print a receipt at the pumps & this younger Indian gal states there is but it gets jammed - You could tell they just didn't maintain the pumps with paper rolls. I said I'm not gonna wait when I was exiting the door, she said sarcastically, "Have a nice day and enjoy the heat.". I replied you're so rude. I guess she thought it was funny to say some thing as I was heading out the door. This is a total lack of customer service and this young girl needs to learn some manners and how to be polite instead of rude. I guess she was upset because most people were pissed off having to wait for their gas to be pumped when they went inside to pay. I'm also leery about Shell stations since I had my credit card number stolen at other Shell Gas Stations with fraudulent charges so I had to change my account twice. I can't believe I'm reviewing a gas station, but this place irritates me. I choose to come here because I have a 76 gas card, it's on my way to work, and it's easy to pull in and pull out (heh) of this place unlike other gas stations in the middle of big intersections where it can be dangerous. It's on a quiet street in sleepy downtown Arcadia. I stop by here for one reason and one reason only - to get gas. If I can not do so or am impeded in anyway, this place is useless to me. It seems like half the time I come here, most of the nozzles have a red bag on them saying "out of service." Of course, this means I have to wait for other people to fill up their cars which would be fine if there wasn't more than enough pumps to go around. On some occasions, every single pump station is disabled for some reason and I have to commute to work with a gallon of gas. Thank you Prius. And it's not because I come here at odd times. At 6 AM, when many people are on their way to work, you'd think the people who manage this place would ensure all their equipment is functioning properly. Basically, this place is a joke with no quality control and if this is the fault of management, this place needs to go under. read more

Such a poor experience here. Will try to avoid this place in the future. Tried to make a quick stop to pump gas and of course no receipt came out. That happens sometimes, so no biggie, I just walked in to get it. But then the young guy at the register mumbles that I have to wait until the next person finishes at that pump. I'm confused because I've never heard that before, so I ask why that is the case. He has no explanation and worse, no manners, no "hey, I'm sorry, it's just not working today" or any other polite comment. I stand and stand, then use the restroom, then come back and he's ignoring me. I ask if I can have my receipt and he rudely tells me to wait because he's about to help someone who came in way after me buy lotto tickets. Really?! I've been here waiting and you're going to act like I'm troubling YOU? I finally express some annoyance (not raising my voice or anything, just saying that I think he should solve my issue first before moving on to new customers). He calls a lady for help who comes out and also doesn't apologize or have any courtesy. They don't even know where my receipt is by now because so many customers have come and gone. She gives me a receipt she prints up for $30. All of this wouldn't have been such a big deal if they had been even a little apologetic. Looks like a family operation, where they are apparently teaching the new generation how to deliver poor service. PS While I was there I heard a number of customers come in complaining about various problems. And the squeegees were broken and the blades were so mutilated that streaks were left on my windows. This is not my usual gas station i go to and is only my 2nd time here. Will definitely be my last time! Needed some quick gas and inserted my card to the machine. It beeped twice and as usual i thought the machine is broken and i needed to go inside to pay instead. So i went in and the sweetest lady there told me the clerk will be there shortly since she's off the clock i guess. In comes the WITCH. My goodness me.. she didn't wanna ring me up and instead had me go outside to show me how to work the card machine. Yes, they accept credit card. But every time I'm here, their machine doesn't print receipt. You have to go request it from the clerk inside. How ridiculous! Either they can't find the key, or out of paper that they can't refill or place new ones. Why? Really? Every time I'm here whether it's machine 7, 8 or 4, it's out of paper so the machine doesn't print receipt. Terrible!!! read more

Clean station and today, the lowest priced gas in the area. Anywhere from .06 to .35 cents per gallon. Has a decent snack shop to grab yourself some munchies or for today, something cold to keep you cool. Gas up today!! read more

$ If I could give 0 stars, I would. My husband went down today and gave the cashier $43 dollars to purchase some drinks and put the rest in gas. However, the cashier quick handed him and told him he only gave him $23. Not wanting to get scammed out of 20 dollars, my husband tried to correct the cashier and told him to look at the cameras. Cashier dismissed him and called the cops. Employees in the back looked at the footage and confirmed that my husband gave him $43. After that, the cashier remained unreasonable and refused further service. Completely unprofessional and I believe racially motivated due to the fact that we are Mexican. He even asked him if he was an American citizen. He needs to be fired or at the very least given some sensitivity training! Save yourself some grief and go to another location! read more

Cheated me out at the gas pump. I filled up at Pump #2 with 18.5 gallons...but my car only holds 17.7 gallons, and I must've had at least a gallon left before filling up. The pumps here don't give you a receipt, so you have to go inside (I hate that), but I had reason enough to see the cashier. I reported this to the cashier, who looked a bit concerned with my issue and called to the manager "Kelly"; he made me wait for about 5 minutes while he chatted on his cell phone. When he finally approached me, I asked him when he last calibrated his pumps, and he said "just last week", and I told him about how the pump put in more gas than what my tank could hold. He just shrugged his shoulders, I asked if he was going to do anything about it, he said that I should come back and keep checking. I asked him how I could contact the owners, and he said that that was why he was the manager, that there's no need to communicate with them because he's there to help. Told him he was not being of help and that I was going to report this, and he said "fine". Nice way of sending me off. On hindsight, I should have demanded a refund, but I was in too much of a hurry to waste more of my time with that turkey. I got gas at this 76 gas station in Arcadia, CA on 10/9/2014. It's officially called Arcadia Oil Inc. and is at 102 E. Huntington Drive. It's at the same location as the former Chevron. The price of the 91 percent octane was $3.95 per gallon that day. I usually give gas stations three stars but I deducted one more because I had to go inside to get my receipt (I'm always suspicious of that). read more

The store manager very rudely refused to return me the money: "I can do nothing for you, because I don't have the key to open the coin box", he was shaking his fingers and his head when he was talking. The air compressor didn't start to work after I inserted 4 quarters into the slot, that's why I asked the stuff to give me the $1.00 back.
