74 degrees patched wall. Over wallpaper

This is a pathetic attempt to mask your negligence. You took so long to call your insurance and through subrogation ( basically my insurance sued your insurance) was the house repaired. Did you forget my insurance went up. You say things like "it could happen to anyone", really just turn off the damn water next time. Absolutely no accountability. If customers want a business that doesn't understand accountability and forgets something simple like turning off the water before welding pipes. They should use 74 Degrees. Cheap price equal cheap work. You guys tried to even do the repairs yourselves before I called my insurance. I could do a better job. The walls were still wet while you tried to patch it with asbestos in the walls. Exposed everyone, even you employees. Absolute amateur hour

I just want to say that the service from 74 Degrees was fantastic! I will highly recommend anyone to get in contact with them if you needed any services done. I want to give a shout out to Leonardo for helping me repair my air central system. He went above and beyond in explaining to me what services needed to be done and how things worked. He showed me before and after pictures as well to give me extra clarification. 74 Degrees made my experience very easy and convenient. They were really helpful and responsive to all the questions I had. A++++ service!

Exposed live wires left hanging out of a thermostat mount after a diagnostic. They were not in this state when the tech arrived.

My thermostats were performing inconsistently and overheating. After replacing them with thermostats of comparable spec and having similar issues, I gave 74 Degrees a call. On the high end for quotes, but well-rated, so I figured I'd get what I'd pay for. Boy, was I wrong. The tech arrived, and my partner told him that we have electric ceiling heat. He then spent the next 25 minutes looking for an exhaust or similar unit, going so far as to insist that we never had heat at all. Never mind that I had these units connected to a smart home solution, with a graph showing this. So determined to be correct, he pointed to one point in the graph, saying "this is the middle of the day. It could have been the sun." The temperature was stable at that point for three consecutive days, all hours of the day. In searching for the source of the heat, he inquired about: - A window-mounted AC unit with no additional fixtures - A wireless router - A wine fridge He then had the gall to say that our networking equipment was the cause of temperatures rising to 76 degrees in the apartment previously. After asking why it was only 67 at the time with all equipment running, he finally relented, and agreed to call his boss to inquire... who I imagine told him that we were probably right. After temporarily connecting the old thermostat, lo and behold: heat, from the ceiling. The issue turned out to be a need for line voltage thermostats instead of the low-voltage versions installed. It took another five minutes of fighting with him to confirm my understanding that we *could* keep using low-voltage thermostats, if we used a transformer. We asked to go that route for an estimate. Sheepishly, and after 30 minutes of walking him through every step, he left. After the was gone, I found that the wires--still live--in one one of the rooms were left exposed and protruding from the wall just above the light switch. Not capped, not taped, not tucked into the existing mount, just waiting for someone to graze their hand against. To add insult to injury, the estimate came in at over $900 to install new thermostats, which is 1) outrageous, and 2) not the remedy I asked for. Normally I don't mind spending money to make sure something is done fast and right, though I truly wish I spent the money on a digital multimeter instead. Save yourself the headache and go someplace else.

It's rare to find someone in this industry who isn't trying to take advantage of customers. Will is honest, professional and incredibly easy to work with. They originally booked me for Saturday but told me they would call if an earlier appointment became available. To my surprise, they contacted me the very next day because of a cancellation. Our technician, Fabian, was outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. He took the time to explain what was causing the issue and also educated us on the importance of routine A/C maintenance to help prevent future problems. I really appreciated that he answered all of our questions without making us feel rushed. The entire experience, from scheduling to the repair, was excellent. It's hard to find a company that's responsive, honest, and reliable, but this one exceeded our expectations. We will definitely continue using them for all of our future heating and air conditioning needs. Highly recommend!

Extremely disappointed with Southwest HVAC…read more I called Southwest HVAC in April to have my AC serviced before summer because I have a newborn at home and wanted to make sure our system was reliable before the hot weather hit. I specifically took the initiative to have the unit maintained ahead of time because keeping my family comfortable and safe was a priority. During that visit, Southwest HVAC charged me $1,000 for a capacitor and a hard-start kit. I thought the price was extremely high, but I agreed to pay it because I trusted that I was paying for professional service and, more importantly, peace of mind that my AC would be ready for the summer. Fast-forward ONLY FIVE MONTHS and my AC won't even turn on. Naturally, I called Southwest HVAC expecting them to stand behind the work they had performed just five months earlier. Instead, I was told I would have to pay another $100 diagnostic fee just for them to come out and look at the system. That's what I find completely unacceptable. You charged me $1,000 to service and repair my AC, and less than five months later the system isn't even turning on--and your response is essentially, "Pay us another $100 and we'll take a look." If you are going to charge customers premium prices for HVAC work, I expect a reasonable level of accountability when the equipment fails shortly after you serviced it. I shouldn't have to pay another fee simply to find out whether the work I already paid you $1,000 for was done properly or whether the components you installed have failed. The timing is especially frustrating because I specifically had this work done BEFORE summer precisely so I wouldn't end up in this situation. I have a newborn in the house, and now I'm dealing with a non-functioning AC in the middle of summer after paying this company $1,000 for service only five months ago. $1,000 in April. AC completely dead in September. Another $100 just to get someone to diagnose it. That is not what I consider good customer service, and it certainly isn't what I expected when I paid Southwest HVAC to service my system. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion and comparing prices before giving this company your business. Based on my experience, I am extremely dissatisfied with both the service and the way they handled the situation afterward.

Then the day before the appointment, they told me it would be another month and a half before someone could come out. I asked what happened to the appointment I already booked, and they admitted they had been straight-up lying to me when they told me it was booked - even though I had confirmed it with them multiple times. They said it's their policy to book appointments, giving a specific time and date, and confirm the appointment with the customer, and only after that check if they actually have a tech available. And then for some reason, not bother telling the customer if there's an issue with the appointment they booked. If they had told me from the beginning it would be 2 months, I would have gone with another company. Instead, I spent 3 weeks in miserable heat with a malfunctioning AC. I just don't understand why they would lie to customers, and say they booked an appointment when they didn't really book it.

I contacted them simply to get an estimate for installing new units in a property that is already gutted.
