Unfortunately not only was the customer service horrible but so was the service provided to me. While expressing what I wanted to get done I confirmed with Chohee if it was achievable. She said absolutely! I was thrilled and excited and said lets do it, we agreed on a price $400. I thought it was a bit pricey but said I deserve to treat myself. I was sitting in that chair for 4 hours. My phone died. I was hungry and thirsty. No one asked if i needed anything or check up on me. She was attending other clients and overall I felt neglected throughout the whole process. Despite the poor treatment and feeling of abandonment, i still had high hope that I would receive my new look and it would all be worth it. I stayed calm, kind and patient. She then revealed the final result and it was not what I had asked for. I pulled up the reference picture and said to her "I was going more for this look, is this it or were you still working on my hair?" No attitude, no negative tone, just a question. She suddenly got defensive and said she did not appreciate me saying "is this it?" And that she felt insulted. I apologized to her and said "that wasn't my intention it's just that I've been sitting here for hours expecting a different result that we discussed and agreed to." She said if I wanted that look then it would be another $300 and probably another 2 hours. I was shocked. She changed the price from what we discussed and at this point I felt like she was trying to take advantage of me. As Chohee was finishing the final steps of my appointment she was extremely cold, and unpleasant to be around. I felt VERY uncomfortable. I felt like i was beings reasonable and accommodating the whole appointment and to be treated so poorly really disappointed me and made me feel so small. Definitely won't be coming back here.

I booked a balayage with Vladana for the first time this afternoon, and to say that I'm happy with the result is a serious understatement. I'm still in complete awe of my refreshed color and style -- I can't help but double-take and light up each time I pass my reflection. She took her time with an in-depth consultation and heard me out on my hair history, my concerns, my ideal vision, etc. She applied her expertise and executed on every note. Her energy is genuinely warm and inviting; it was effortless to get comfortable and trust her through the process. Vladana is a master artist and her standard of care and service is exemplary. The whole appointment felt like a visit with an old friend -- until I caught a glimpse of the end result and was completely blown away. I'm impressed and deeply grateful. I originally had Johnny do my hair, I would not recommend him if you have Asian hair or even for a haircut. My hair was in a ponytail, he undid my ponytail and proceeded to give me a haircut like that, from a ponytail, It ended up very choppy and uneven. I'm shocked that he charges $155 for a haircut when clearly he does not know how to cut hair. We went through a consultation before my actual coloring (completely did not match the pictures we viewed) and he did my color very chunky, very sporadic, and very uneven coloring. I got charged for balayage ($350). This is clearly more of a highlights and he did not do what I asked. Turned out very brassy. The owner took a look at my hair and agreed that it's definitely not a balayage and the cut was more like a child cut my hair, the most uneven haircut. To fix my hair, I was assigned to Jacinda, who actually does a great job with cutting and coloring.., she still didn't do my hair what I asked for, still more on the warm brassy look, NOT what I asked. It's much easier to do a brassy color for Asian, (laziness to me, less work, less lifting, less knowledge..) I specifically asked both of the hairstylist to give me a coloring that will blend in with some grey coming in ( which I do not really have much, only tiny cluster on my temple). I showed both of them pictures, but, still did not get the coloring right... Also, I specifically said I do not like to get my hair done a lot, maybe once or twice a yr. With a great balayage that is exactly what I would have to do, come in maybe twice a yr! I received a bill of $350 +155 total of $501 and some change, tipped the guy 20% (I was feeling pressured to tip 20%... Don't even me started on the whole over tipping culture in the US...) I tipped him $101, total $602. Went home and I was shocked! Went back and didn't have to pay, but I felt obligated to tip her another $40 since she had to redo my hair. Now I am at $642. Was told to come back 2 to 3 months and it will cost me $265+ 20% that's $330. This is not what I asked for, I do not want to have to come back every 2 to 3 months. She fixed the chunky and blotchiness, but my hair is still pretty brassy, warm tones. She said that she gave me more of a beige color, but, this is pretty brassy... It's not what I wanted. It's a beautiful job if that's what you want, but, that's not what I asked for after spending this much money. I would come here if you are white but not if you are Asian or have Hispanic dark hair, because they obviously do not know how to lift dark hair. Owner is very nice and so is the front desk Terry. Place is clean and has a cute vibe.
