My wife and I really enjoyed our wine tasting! The staff was very friendly and we were able to…read morediscuss each of the wines before and after we tasted them. Don't let the business park exterior turn you away from visiting this place! Oh and I tasted the Jalapeno wine. It is hotter than I expected it to be (and not bad might I add if you can handle Jalapenos). I recommend ordering an awesome glass of their Root Beer before you SIP your Jalapeno wine sample.

The best that I can figure, Cascade Winery is the only true wine tasting room in Grand Rapids. We…read morevisited this diamond in the rough last week. Being from SW Michigan where we can get to about 50 wineries in less than 40 minutes, I wasn't expecting Cascade Winery to be in an industrial type complex. But I was pleasantly surprised that the tasting room was pretty nice and quite large. They have lots of seating in the tasting room and another room for private events. Our pourer was the son of the owner. He was very knowledgeable and fun to speak with. We tried all the reds, a few whites, and a specialty wine. They were all very good. Cascade Winery doesn't grow their own grapes. A good portion come from Michigan and others come from California. The winery is also known as the Jaden James Brewery. We did not taste any of their beers or their mead. We came home with three bottles - Raspberry Chocolate Silk, Symphony Blush, and a Cabernet Sauvignon. I'm excited to share them with my friends.

I think the best way to describe Cooper's Hawk is affordable elevated dining? Their wine selection…read moreis robust, and they have a large menu. It feels like fine dining but with a more casual flair to it. I joined the wine club on a whim and it has actually become something that I look forward to participating in every month! I have the two bottle variety membership, so I get to redeem two bottles and get two wine tastings a month for $49.95. I'm not a particularly huge wine drinker, but it's a really great deal since the rest of my family enjoys wine, so I use my membership for us to try different bottles, especially around the holidays. For the wine tasting, you get eight hefty pours per tasting, and I always go for the lux tasting, which is $5.30 if you have a membership. Everyone is so nice and they'll allow you to switch out what's on the list with something else if you know you don't like something that's on the tasting. They also run promos where you can redeem special bottles, or you can get extra points when redeeming bottles. I also appreciate the fact that you can redeem a bottle at your table if you dine in, which is great when my family and I dine in there. Their food is always fresh and delicious, and they're one of the few places that actually have a really great lunch menu. You can get lunch there for $20, which isn't such a common find anymore! We've always had a pleasant time dining/wine tasting, and it's quickly become a favorite stop for me.

Rolling into Crane's, I really wasn't sure what to expect, but the vibes, the grounds, the service, and the amazing selection of eats, drinks and treats had us grinning ear to ear! We were a BIG group and let me tell you, this place is built exactly for that! From the massive outdoor covered patio to the sprawling dining room, there is a spot for everyone to enjoy. The grounds are incredibly beautiful too, and there are picnic benches dotting the hillside and lots of little place you could park for a picnic. We came for the pie flight and I've gotta say, it's was a little tricky to figure out where to get those adorable little mason jars. For those wondering, just get a table in the dining room, which is super warm, charming, and inviting! We got a big table at the back and had a fabulous server who made this experience great for everyone, screaming children included. The pie was actually REALLY good, and I loved the wine and cider flight too. The fact you can mix and match made this incredibly fun, even at 10am. All in all, this is a destination worth visiting when on the shore! Make this part of your vacation for sure!

The event was perfect for the day; live music, fresh cider & hard cider, food trucks, cornhole, pie eating contest, hayrides, and much more! We made sure to grab some goodies from the store before we headed out. Some of the best cider donuts I have had ever. Be sure to stop in at Crane's, it's perfect for the family, dates, large groups. Everyone was enjoying the atmosphere.
