A friend referred us to Paul, owner of 7-7 Auto Repair. The first few repairs went well although a bit pricier than most. We figured this equated to high quality service so we kept taking out cars to him. Most recently though, I took my truck in for a new radiator, head gasket, all new hoses etc which cost me almost 4,300. I lightly used my truck afterward but months later it overheated and I pulled over right away. Paul explained that the truck overheated due to a leak in one of the hoses. Since he had replaced all the hoses and the fluids checked out just fine proceeding the repair, I asked him to honor the 12,000 mile/12 month warranty which he has refused to do. Paul also admits that he forgot to ask me to bring in my truck after the repair to test the job but is somehow still holding me responsible. He has also said "I have no good explanation as to why your car overheated.... I don't think you did anything wrong.." So why should I pay for the repair again? I enlisted the objective help of an investigator from the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR). The investigator's findings were in my favor. He asked Paul to honor the warranty but Paul still refused. Every mechanic & knowledgeable person I've asked agrees with the unfairness of this except for Paul. Now, I am left to write my first negative review and take the case to small claims with the support of BAR. I have tried to handle this kindly and fairly with Paul, & here I am still without my truck. He asked me to remove my truck from his property or he'd start charging daily rates & I did at my own expense. In fairness to Paul, he did offer to charge me for parts only to re-do the repair but that would mean I'd pay $1244 on top of the original $4300. I find this to be very unfair & the warranty to be misleading. I want to protect others & ask them (you) to consider working with someone that honors their written warranty which says "warranty on all parts & labor for up to 12,000 miles or 12 mos..." of which I totally qualified. Be careful. I really wish he'd avoid us all the trouble & be a man of his word. I do not hold strong feelings against him but also need to stand up for what's right. Thanks. read more

My 2006 Jeep was burning oil and I needed to add a quart every couple of weeks. Went to get it smogged and, due to the engine light being lit, could not get it tested. Brought it to Paul & company as I'd done before. Although it was not an easy fix, they were able to rebuild instead of putting in a new engine, saving me a couple thousand dollars. I have been a client of Paul's auto service for years. He really cares about his clients, he even gave personal rides for clients who need to drop off their cars and have no other mode of transport. I never had the need for the pleasure of being dropped off though. Most of the time, my wife and I would drop off one of our cars to get services, go grab some breakfast, and then we come back from breakfast and the car was done. We have a Toyota Sienna and a Honda Civic and throughout the many years that we have been bringing our cars to 7 to 7 Auto Service, there were no occasions that our expectations were not exceeded. Business was sold to Paul years ago and I continued to come. Like Fred, Paul is honest, upfront and does not candy coat anything. they dont really change your oil when you get oil change from them, it's either they just adding oil or they will take your car inside kill time and tell you they work on it but it's not they dont care about your car no matter what car you have. they got my BMW checkengine lights and the workers are unskilled and unprofessional, specifically the asian guy in the front desk name Paul is rude they just want your money and you to keep coming back to them because your car will never going to get fix. I wanted to add some details to my post. I had an appointment for my oil change through a service program that came with my car. This was the shop assigned to it. He said it would take 45 minutes, I asked why, and then he went off. Called me an a-hole, twice; said he didn't give a sh*t why I was there or that I had an appointment, said he wouldn't change my oil, told me I was trespassing and threatened to call the police. No exaggeration! During his screaming, and glaring rant, he said that it takes 45 minutes because of a 21 all point inspection. That's all he had to say at the beginning! From reading the reviews, he does this with customers with service programs, likely so he won't have to honor them. The good reviews are from the old owner 'Fred', this guy's a worm. read more

I saw this Groupon, thought hey it was close to my house let's try it. I went in not to long ago and the guy was beyond rude. He didn't greet me, i walked up said "hi i came for an oil change!" He then began yelling at that they didn't have anything open till Friday. Mind you there was no one inside. We tried to work out a day but he kept talking to me super rude with attitude (like he just got ripped in the ass by his boss) so i stopped him and said you know what it's fine I'll go somewhere else. I'm so glad we found this place. We started coming to 7 to 7 Auto Services about 2 years ago. At the time my husband and I were just looking for a place to work on his car near his place of work. Of course we used yelp to pick a place and the reviews were really good here. Now two years later we only bring our two cars. What I really like about this place is the honesty. Paul is very honest and up front about the work that needs to be done on your car. He is also up front about what services you can hold off on. So many places I've been to before would try and sell me on services my car didn't need. Me not knowing a lot about cars would get the work done. For the first time I feel someone is looking out for me and my car. This last time I went I had my Nissan Altima worked on. I had new breaks and new rotors out on the car. We have been going to this shop for almost 20 years when Fred owned it. Paul bought the shop almost 4 years ago and we continued with him. The work was done on time and no complaints. On 2/17/21 my sister took her Jaguar to have two wires connected to her battery for a battery maintenance device. It took about 10 to 15 minutes. He charged $53.50 plus $3.50 for hazard waste fee. The labor charge was rather steep, but the other charge had nothing to do with her car. Paul said this is a standard charge on all of his invoices. We no longer have trust in Paul and sadly must find a new mechanic. read more

He never tries to upsell you, or encourage you to fix things that don't need to be fixed. His prices are fair, his quality of workmanship is outstanding, and he always has good advice on the maintenance of your vehicle. They checked with my warranty company with out me even having to ask questions about what was covered or not. They called around looking for the best deals on parts for me, even checking scrap yards. What a crook!!! I needed brakes done here and the owner was a complete asshole. He tried arguing with me about my brakes that Les Swab and the Subaru Dealership said otherwise. Not only that, he told me to redeem my Groupon before the work was done and then he wouldn't give me a receipt saying that he didn't do any work because he couldn't. He's a complete scumbag and crook. Please stay away from this business at all costs. Now I have to go through my bank and file a fraud claim against this company for stealing from me. Hello, I am a single woman who hates having to go to the mechanic, it is worse than going to the Dentist. But I started to read the fine print at Groupon that no one was telling me about since my car needed more than the regular 5 quarts of oil. But when I called this place he informed me up front, so I felt like I was in good hands. The additional costs was very minimal. I had a couple of little things that needed taking care of, and he found a way to squeeze me in and accomplish all the little items I needed very inexpensive. I also am so thankful I went, as my tire was punctured, I could have had a blow out. Even though he does not sell tires he took the time to call around to make sure I was safe in my car and see who had the best price for me within my budget. He also knew I needed a special priced item, my car is a Mercedes Benz and he offered to find me a replacement since it did not need to be brand new as long as it worked from a junk yard and I would not even have to go and pick it up. I am going to go back as he also addressed the issues with my engine light being on, topped off all my fluids showed me how to honestly use my car, I have owned it only since October and I felt very comfortable I was NOT being ripped off, but valued as a customer. I feel so strongly about the service I received there that I will be asking our owner to now take all of our service vehicles to this shop. The owner was friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. I called Paul to ask about an Oil Change. He had me in the same day and I was out the door very quickly. I found the place easy to find and although I cannot speak to the quality of work on major repairs I can say the shop was organized, waiting room clean including restroom (not always the case in auto shops) and Paul the owner was pleasant and friendly. I heard his conversations regarding cars and he is very knowledgeable. The shop has been in that location for 28 years and Fred the previous owner has a stake in the operation to insure continued success. We fixed our car in 7 to 7 a couple of weeks ago. And the car started making a knocking noise and shaking. We went to them and asked for help. Because we have a long way to go. But the employee had one hour before closing. And he didn't even want to see what happened to the car. All he said was,"my day is almost over." And " come back next week." I understand, but the car is life. If suddenly, that breaks down, then no one will restore our lives. I had to take my car here as a referral from my warranty company. The job was to repair my timing chain on the vehicle which should take approximately 16 man hours. I didn't get my car back for over a week! Luckily my warranty company covered 4 days of my rental and I have great friends who can help me out by taking me back and forth to work, but it didn't need to be that way. My husband and I have been bringing our cars here for several years. We have had our Passat and BMW serviced here dating back to 2004. They have always been completely upfront and honest. They will tell you what is wrong with your car, and offer solutions other that 'just fix it'. IE: If you need brakes, they may say, you need brakes, but you can probably get by for another X miles. Or, there may be something that is prohibiting your car from running at its optimum capacity. They will let you know if it is a 'need to have' vs. a 'have to have'.
