Ate here a week ago on a SUNDAY. 8:30am. 4/26/26. Only 3 cars outside. Only 3 tables of 2-4 inside. We were 3 persons. Ordered breakfast. PRO - bartender working hard but clearly needed more help. Also more training in drinks. Management should know better on a Sunday to staff up. More folks kept pouring in. Pretty soon bartender was slammed. CON - TICKET TIME WAS 55 minutes. That is unsatisfactory. No excuse. The old 7G had the same issue. What is it about ordering eggs that takes sooooooo long? Food came out warm, not hot, and was just OK. I have given this place the benefit of the doubt many times now with the new ownership, and I am trying hard to support them..HOWEVER, 1 hour ticket times is ridiculous. Manager showed up about 45min after we arrived...came to table twice to apologize. FYI - I dont want your apologies. I want and expect reasonable service, good food, served in a timely manner. Not asking for miracles. These days going out is expensive. We chose to visit your business. In the future I may choose differently. hence, 2 stars. read more

First of all the bartenders were great!!!!! The rooms were terrible, tv was not set up, ran out of hot water and the rooms looked like they were under construction forever. We went to breakfast and we were not impressed with the food by any stretch. Paying 170.00 for the room and 50.00 for 2 breakfasts I was not at all impressed. Summary: it was a dry and warm room for a late winter fishing excursion to the lake. Worn out room with evidence of a minimal cost "remodel." 100% "self-service" check in with no visible staff on site. The restaurant and bar were closed for remodel, which was told to us the day of arrival. Remnants of prior guests throughout the room, including used washcloth, soaps, and kitchen items (see photos). Towels were well worn, rough, and had holes. Evidence of black mold beginning in the bathroom, which had no working ventilation. Water pressure on the miniature-sized shower was minimal, including finicky controls for hot or cold temperature water. Decor appears to have been purchased from a garage sale or second hand store and was last cleaned when I was a child, including stained seat cushions. Linens were cleaned but well worn, likely purchased in at least the early 2000s. A fellow guest's front door had a missing window pane on the screen door. Ymmv, but for me a thoroughly disappointing stay on an otherwise amazing short trip to visit friends and ice fish in the region. I have a double review: The hotel is fantastic we stay there on a weekly basis, the rooms are clean the staff is welcoming and the view is breathtaking, they make a great burger! Sandy is a professional and absolutely amazing manager, she goes above and beyond what is required of management and is one of the reasons we keep coming back. Tom the bartender is rude and can't be bothered to help, when we had an issue with our reservation I called him on a Sunday night he was short tempered and rude and said he didn't have the time to help me so instead of checking the reservations went ahead and charged me again on a reservation that was already paid so when i called back to complain about his lack of knowledge that it was paid he hung up on me! Even though Tom was rude and not helpful Sandy more then made up for it! read more

Food was absolutely amazing, the service is really good. But this place is very dirty. The table we sat at were sticky from the last customers who sat at that table. We had a party of 10 including myself. We had the 20 piece chicken and a pizza. The pizza when it came out the first time, it was cold in the middle and it was still kinda frozen. The second time it was perfect and was expecting it the first time. Very indecisive about this rating and how I should explain it. There was many flies in the place and there was a husky who was roaming around. One of my family members had said in the women's bathroom the light did not work. Anyway, This place would be much better if they cleaned a bit. The owners of this place are hardly ever sober. Would not recommend 5.5/- read more

Near Georgetown lake is this awesome hidden restaurant!! Quiet, nice staff and very friendly!! First time I came here, I ordered the prime rib burger! It's made from real prime rib and served med-rare to medium. Topped with whiskey onions and smoked Gouda cheese. Served with spring mix, seasoned tomato's and homemade pickled red onions. Unfortunately I don't have a picture cuz I was so hungry that I just had to take a bite! I also ordered the waffle fries and they have a side of ranch dressing that goes perfect with it!! read more

We actually went to another restaurant for diner but they were closed so we thought we'd give Seven Gables a try. Not a huge menu but since we were both on a low carb diet choices were a bit limiting. My wife decided on the Pork Shank while I went for the Ribeye Steak medium rare. Good came and Pork Shank was absolutely great! My steak was a bit more done than medium rare, more like medium well but still pretty good. I should mention that the service by the server was outstanding. She was handling the dining room as well as the bar and was able to take care of both! Five stars for the Pork Shank and three stars for the steak and five stars for the service! read more

I am a born and raised anacondan and brought my boyfriend to my happy hometown recently. He is originally from California and has an extensive "traveled to" list, with a love for food. I brought him to 7 gables on our last day and we got the chicken. It was absolutely amazing. Not greasy, not burnt- it was perfect. My boyfriend couldn't stop talking about how incredible the food was and how impressed he was with the chicken. It's a must go for anyone who is hungry!! Oh my goodness! Winner! The spicy chicken sandwich was one of the best I've had. Kids loved the spaghetti, burgers. My husband had the fried chicken and was in heaven. This is a place you get good fried chicken and jo jo's (like thick cut fries) or buffalo chips (sliced potatos battered and fried). It's pretty good food. There isn't much better in the area. YOu can eat in or call ahead and pick it up. It's good food if you want to go hunting or ice fishing and eat a bunch of hot fried stuff afterwards. And who doesn't want to do that???? read more

We just stayed there for 2 nights. The best thing I can say is the towels were nice. The room photo online was photoshopped, and nowhere near what we got. The bed was a waterbed base with a regular mattress in it, so you had to crawl over the wood sides to get in/out of the bed...painful. The toilet was leaking, so the bathroom floor was wet all the time. Apparently its been that way for a while, as there was mold growing around the toilet. Also, had no bathroom door handle, plus the water never did get hot. It was lukewarm at best. The room had a pretty good layer of dust on everything, leading us to wonder when the last time someone had even been inside it. After all of that, we were hesitant to eat there. read more

Idk why this is listed as a resort but the restaurant is unbeatable. The staff is friendly and funny, the food is good, reasonably priced, and the portions are generous. They don't judge you when you roll in with your snow pants on at 8:30 am and order an omelette and an Irish coffee. They don't judge you when you drop in at 11:00 pm with $5 cash to hit the slots for approximately fourth seconds. They might judge you if you try to fake your outdoorsiness and pretend to be someone you're not. This is an excellent establishment to come as you are, eat good food, and knock down many stiff drinks. It is easily my favorite place in the area. read more

We stopped in for dinner at Seven Gables after a day of skiing Discovery before heading toward Missoula. As we were approaching Missoula, I realized that my friend had left my iPad on the window sill at the restaurant. I phoned the and they said that sure enough, the iPad was sitting right where it was left. As we were from out of town and on a road trip, I asked if they would be able to mail to me and I provided my credit card number to cover the shipping charges. They assured me that it would be taken care of. I placed numerous follow up phone calls and was told the iPad was in the mail, then was told that I told them the wrong address. (as if I don't know my own address) Multiple phone calls and emails later the iPad never arrived. Very poor showing by this establishment and it's owners. As a business owner myself, I can not imagine standing for such a low standard of integrity. read more

What a great place to grab a bite or a drink. The specialty of the 7 Gables has to be the chicken and the service. Have never tried the rooms but always stop for food and drink. One issue is the Yelp map for it. It is not on Georgetown Lake Road at the dam as shown. It's further down Hwy 1 south towards Anaconda about 2-3 miles on the left. If you blow the map up and follow Hwy 1 south it will show where it's actually at. Enjoy. read more

I had to give this place 1 star because I remember the 7 Gables, back in the day and after perusing their "new" website, in which they claim a new "resort", our decision to eat their "high altitude" chicken was based upon that. Welllllllll, they may have reclad the outer shell and built a new motel, but the interior of the restaurant rates 5 on the 1 to 5 dive scale! Sure, the chicken (tasted like pressure cooked broasted chicken to me), is decent and they serve a baked spud out of the oven, not the microwave, but come on, salad for starters was an empty plate w/ directions to go to the "one time through" salad bar, that was mostly empty due to a large party of "hearty eaters" and had such a poor selection of items to add, it was laughable. I had mostly lettuce w/ a few baby carrots, some cottage cheese and a partial dipper of italian dressing as it was all I could scrap out of the bottom of the container. My husband didn't fair much better, adding some kind of mayo'd cold peas and a couple sweet peppers. There weren't any tomatoes, and the croutons looked like crumbs. So, the chicken, decent enough, though the pieces are small, it came quickly and thank God for that, as we were seated in some kind of addition w/ windows so dirty, it was the only thing that prevented us from frying in the evening sunset...it was hot, and the tables were disgustingly tacky, not just in appearance, w/ their old cracked bar chairs, but tacky as in sticky and it was because the veneer was nearly gone. So, my recommendation is call ahead, pick up your chicken, then go find a nice place on the lake to park and eat it picnic style (better make sure you bring your own plates and napkins, because the 7 Gables is liable to not have them available). Avoid it if possible otherwise! read more

Had a great time here! Spacious rooms with a mini fridge and microwave! GREAT views of the lake, delicious food at the cafe, and fun bar to hang out in with reasonably priced drinks! Incredibly friendly staff at both the bar/cafe and hotel! Only downsides are no AC in the rooms (but even at the end of July it never got very hot) and small showers. read more

1st of all we're a group of 10, that came in to celebrate bdays & an anniversary with our fam...3 of us were in the mood for t bones, the rest of the party ordered burgers & such...ordered Med rares & got over medium, which if one of us got it wrong, well maybe it was just a mistake...but 3 of them? Come on now....then a chicken sandwich didn't come with pickles that she wanted on them, a burger with no bacon then to top that...chicken fried steak didn't even look like one. Waitress never came by to ask how everything was after she had to reorder our steaks...& like 15 min passed & suddenly only had 2 of the 3 steaks available & alternative steaks were frozen??? What the heck...don't advertise as a special if u done have enough to serve it, so I had to order something else...totally disappointed, but then again maybe They're not used to big parties either idk read more

I can't believe the poor service my family received at this restaurant. Our breakfast food took an unreasonable amount of time to come out. People that came in after us were served and had finished eating before we got our food. Then the insult was that the food was cold and my kids sandwich was totally not what was ordered. Clearly cooks had food done for a while before waitress decided to deliver it to our table. When I mentioned the cold food she never apologized and was going to take to away and heat it up.
