Remnant coffee filter from a prior guest.

Summary: it was a dry and warm room for a late winter fishing excursion to the lake. Worn out room with evidence of a minimal cost "remodel." 100% "self-service" check in with no visible staff on site. The restaurant and bar were closed for remodel, which was told to us the day of arrival. Remnants of prior guests throughout the room, including used washcloth, soaps, and kitchen items (see photos). Towels were well worn, rough, and had holes. Evidence of black mold beginning in the bathroom, which had no working ventilation. Water pressure on the miniature-sized shower was minimal, including finicky controls for hot or cold temperature water. Decor appears to have been purchased from a garage sale or second hand store and was last cleaned when I was a child, including stained seat cushions. Linens were cleaned but well worn, likely purchased in at least the early 2000s. A fellow guest's front door had a missing window pane on the screen door. Ymmv, but for me a thoroughly disappointing stay on an otherwise amazing short trip to visit friends and ice fish in the region. Made for an unforgettable experience and impression, however!

Near Georgetown lake is this awesome hidden restaurant!! Quiet, nice staff and very friendly!! First time I came here, I ordered the prime rib burger! It's made from real prime rib and served med-rare to medium. Topped with whiskey onions and smoked Gouda cheese. Served with spring mix, seasoned tomato's and homemade pickled red onions. Unfortunately I don't have a picture cuz I was so hungry that I just had to take a bite! I also ordered the waffle fries and they have a side of ranch dressing that goes perfect with it!!

The people who leave one and two star reviews must have beef with the owners. That is the only explanation. Sure, they add a $20 resort fee to their daily rates, and they may surprise you with an additional charge for your kid. But even then, the rate (when compared to paying a day rate at another hot spring plus a night in a motel) it comes out even. And while staff is surly, from my experience they get that way from continually reminding people who can't follow the rules what the rules are. Again and again and again. It would be enough drive anyone crazy. Yes, there are too many kids screaming, spashing and throwing footballs and balls to their dad who is standing way too close to you for comfort. But the water feels good. The recently renovated rooms are fine. Ours had a fridge and a microwave and features well made beds, nice comforters, lots of pillows and a beautiful view out to the mountains. Do not be afraid. The Fairmont is fine.

Not only is that not helpful, but the lack of urgency or basic customer service was pretty wild. Access to your building shouldn't depend on timing it between arts and crafts sessions.

The decor was beautiful, food was excellent, there were a plethora of activities for our family of 17 which included children and grandchildren. My favorite activities were sapphire mining and cowboy. The staff was very attentive and always concerned that we had everything we needed. The ranch manager, Will, ran a well managed resort. Our kids/grandkids had never been fly fishing before and they all said they now have a new hobby. Our stay was over July 4th and Will arranged for a cow boy concert around the fire pit which excellent and a great way to end our stay. I highly recommend the resort.

The accommodations were lovely; darling fully furnished cottages with a spectacular clubhouse/ dining area all looked out across a beautiful meadow with Rock Creek bubbling in the background. The service was top notch with every attention to detail handled by Will and his staff. The food was incredible; what a gem Chef Casey is! He's a master at developing flavors and creating beautiful dishes using local meats and fresh vegetables. His potatoes are legendary, and his cobblers are the best I've ever had! The quality of the food and wine are first class. The all inclusive aspect allowed us to try many new things. Fly fishing was fantastic, and our guide, Henry, was very patient with us newbies. His instructions miraculously saw us both catching cutthroat trout. We also did archery (super fun!), horseback riding, and had a ton of fun doing some distance shooting. I was very intimidated, but with fabulous instruction, felt relaxed and really enjoyed it. We enjoyed some hikes and gem mining to round out our time. Highly recommend a getaway to The Meadows.
