First, I will say that I go here because it's on the correct side of the road on my way to work and the closest gas station to my home. But several items stand out - and not in a good way.
1. The gas pumps are really dirty. Send out someone with a bucket of water and clean the stupid pumps. But they usually always work. And they don't have the stupid cash/credit pricing that many stations are charging. Don't you always want to ask why they don't have cash/credit pricing for the pop and chips? The cost of using a credit card is part of the cost of doing business.
2. When the person is done cleaning the pumps, they can clean the ground where the nasty people who dump coffee, slurpees, and other things on the ground. It's just nasty to walk through. While I understand that it's not 7-11's fault that people have just gotten nastier in their habits, if the station took some pride in its facility, maybe people would stop.
3. This really irked me this morning. Every once in a while, I like a donut in the morning. Sure, I could drive three blocks more and go to Tim Hortons, but why when I am at the station pumping gas. Today. I went in and the donut delivery hadn't arrived (6:25 a.m. by my receipt). When I asked if this was an old donut, I was told "Yes, but it's still good", she squeezed it in the bag, proceeded to tell me that she likes them old and how she eats it. Here's the amazing part - instead of offering it to me at half off, she says "Come in tomorrow and I will give you a fresh one free" W.T.H.?
I think that I am done with this station for a while. I'll drive across the street and try that one. read more
