But, if you're in a pinch, as we were, running on fumes, you might say, "that'll do, pig." Easy access to this corner gas station and convenience store. There's plenty of space to navigate the pumps and drive around to the entrances and exits. The store could be more organized. The employees aren't happy campers, and could use a sunnier disposition. But then it "dawned" on me that, I guess the lack of brightness speaks to the dim lit training. Cheer up, guys!! No car wash, but they sell lottery tickets, propane, drinks, snacks and there's an ATM inside. Needs a tidy outside and around the back of the building... receptacles needed emptying. But, other than that, this is an average gas station to fuel up and go. They accept Apple Pay.

It's brightly lit, very clean parking lot, super easy to get in and out of even with a bigger vehicle. It's convenient to pull in off England Street because it has it's own turning lane. Consistently among the first in a 10 block radius to drop prices whenever gas goes down. This Shell has a Nice jiffy Mart that's well maintained, large windows w natural light pouring in by day are kept smudge free. There's a coffee station and all the usual amenities. At a time when so many gas stations subject you to horrible Muzak, or a television screen running ads on a tight loop, THIS gas station just has attractive live potted plants beside each pump - a preferable alternative.

This gas station is on the south side of the road, or across the street when you're driving west from the highway into a little Ashland, north of Richmond. It's bright green so you can't miss it. Guess is priced averagely here and service is friendly. Omg, I'm raising them to 4 stars because they took my "Map" joke seriously! I can't with how adorable that is! (Hugs)

I picked up some chips, and I noticed they had some cooked food. So I asked how much the wings were? 1.49 a piece omg thankfully I didn't want a 6pc. I only asked for 2 but the nice lady gave me an extra flat. Once I got to work and decided to try these wings. Why were they so dry?? My coworker said they smelled good. But that's beside the point. You're charging people 1.49 for one piece of a wing. Not even a whole wing, and it's not fresh, and it dry. That's so wrong. Shame on you. If I could've gone where I was planning on going, I would've never stopped there. But now I know if I ever go back, don't get the wings. And I was told the food at convenience stores are good, yeah, not at all stores. My Doritos were better. And my total was 6.10 smh! And this was at 7:53 a.m., probably leftovers from Wednesday evening.

Tonight (Friday) was fish which looked good but we were here for the subs and a few adult sodas. They have a good selection of local breweries which I enjoy. To the gentleman and woman who made our subs, thank you. We were in around 5pm and they were fantastic.

The Short Pump location is busy but it's staffed and managed well. I've found the staff friendly/ personable and on the ball. I've never had to wait very long to receive my food order or long in line to pay, and they get food orders made right. The food options here are awesome- breakfast, hoagie sandwiches, and interestingly coffee options are my go-too. Sandwiches rival other sub places easily and Wawa is actually my preferred. Food is made to order and never skimpy on the amount. Prices are the cheapest that I have found for similar food anywhere else. Wawa has rewards that give free meals. Points rack up rather quickly. I order from the app and it's easy to use and automatically gives you the points. Best value for the money in my opinion and for better quality food.
