We got gas, drinks, chips and my husband got a slow roasted pork sandwich while I chose one of the pre-made turkey wraps to go. Both were delicious and easily satisfied the hunger pangs on the road until we got to where we needed to be. Easy in and out and very clean inside with staff who were quick with the to-go food orders.

When I ask if they have any in the oven they look at me like I'm crazy and seem like I'm supposed to have to mask for one. Not out of bagels, just doesn't care. As far as know, whoever is manning that station, their job is supposed to be making sure ALL the food that goes there is available and fresh. Not happening, I will be going to a different t WaWa from now on.

I shop at Harris Teeter regularly since it's right next door to where my boyfriend lives, and…read moreoverall I usually have a great experience. The store is convenient, clean, and most of the staff are friendly and welcoming, which is why it's disappointing to leave this review. Unfortunately, I'm giving 2 stars due to repeated interactions with one employee, Ms. Stacey. This is now the second time she has come across as rude and overly critical. This morning around 7:15 AM, shortly after I had woken up, she made an unnecessary comment about me and my dog, saying, "you know it's true what they say about how the dog looks like the owner." I brushed that off, but things escalated when two other women approached. I had my dog (a well-trained miniature Goldendoodle) calmly restrained next to me. I gave him simple, quiet commands -- "sit, stay, treat" -- which he followed perfectly. I trained him myself during COVID-19 pandemic, and he responds well to calm, consistent cues. Ms. Stacey then commented, "mom has eyes in the back of her head... you can tell she's been in here a lot because she knows the exact words to say -- I would just change her voice though." Commenting on my tone toward my own dog -- especially when I was being calm, controlled, and respectful in a public space -- was unnecessary and inappropriate. It was early in the morning, and there was nothing wrong with how I handled my pet. I chose not to respond in the moment and remained respectful, but this pattern of behavior is disappointing. I come here often and expect to feel comfortable, not critiqued. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as I would like to continue shopping here -- but with a more respectful and positive experience moving forward.

The location is Haygood Shopping Center on the North side off Haygood Rd. It's a decent in and out. Since the station does not have direct access off the road it's not as busy. The parking lot is wide and has great maneuverability. The pumps are newer and worked great. Also new black top. Trash cans had been emptied the night before. Wash and towels available. But it's somewhat isolated from the busiest part of the shopping center. I wouldn't want to purchase gas alone at night. Discount points can be earned by purchasing groceries in the store, which I've been using more often lately. A really cool feature is that the gasoline and diesel prices are posted on a large neon display as one exits the grocery store. Prices can vary a good bit, sometimes being higher and sometimes lower than surroundings fuel centers. I don't purchase gas there very often because of bigger discounts at other nearby stations. But it's a quick easy way to fuel if one is shopping at Haygood.

Today all the bags I received in the afternoon were lacking the frozen water bottles that kept them cool. This isn't the first time it's happened. Service to the house was rushed, as all my bags (one item per bag) were on the steps rather than the front porch. They were very visible from the street should someone decide to help themselves to my groceries. I received 3 containers of strawberries instead of the 4 they said were delivered. I received a bag of mini cucumbers that i didn't order. And I received eggs they had previously texted would've be delivered. So I had ordered more, which also came. Obviously the morning staff is more diligent. The portion of my order that came earlier was packed perfectly. Maybe I should start shopping myself, like I did this afternoon, to assure that I receive what I want and that it's fresh.
