Aside bagels and spreads is a small sandwich menu, and people come and go for food deliveries. Whether on the run like I was, or stopping for coffee and the conversation, this cafe stayed calm. The lox spread was costly but quality, loaded with large hunks throughout. All bagels came toasted without us requesting, so specify if you prefer otherwise. The ice latte,l had blueberry drizzle, cheesecake cold foam and cheesecake crumble pieces on top. It was so good, however, it was like drinking dessert in a cup. Definitely a dessert latte! My go to order anywhere is an iced americano, which they do very well, but I couldn't resist the "What's up Doc?" Carrot cake latte special. I got it iced so it would have the cream cheese cold foam and it was fabulous. Well balanced and not excessively sweet, with the coffee still the star. There is a lot of stiff competition for great coffee in the area, but Alvarium holds their own. I'm eager to go back and try other specials, if I can resist the urge to reorder the carrot cake one!

You can tell it was freshly baked. We also got a habanero bacon cheddar bagel with spicy cheddar bacon ranch spread. I also got a French toast muffin, which tasted exactly like French toast! I did get the lucky charm March special, however, they ran out of cold brew coffee and it was being brewed overnight. I was able to substitute a regular coffee with an espresso shot. The coffee is OK, it tasted like iced tea mixed with coffee.
